My experience with Integrating Snowflake with Tableau
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about snowflake is the security and compliance in my opinion. Snowflake being compliant with various security standards such as HIPAA, GDPR and others kinda makes it reliable and secure and moreover considering Snowflake's service of total management where a user doesnt have to worry about infrastructure, management and tuning of the data accordingly.
Time Travel and Cloning is just icing to the high performance and speed snowflake offers. Additionally, Colloboration and secure data sharing makes it so easy for lot of software engineers to collab.

What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing primarily is very unpredictable even though it is cost effective due its scalable features but it can get really expensive when is not montiored properly. Since the users pay for compute time and storage seperately, unexpected spikes in queries, large data ingestion, or poor optimization can result in higher bills. The learning curve for the new users gets complicated in terms of Sql extensions and virtual warehousing sizing because it took me some time to understand the sizing and it was more like a trial and error because it lead me either under provisioning or over provisioning the resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly my understanding is that it is targeted to solve critical problems of data management and analytics specially where large and complex datasets are being handled. There are many scaling issues with on-prem and various cloud based data warehouses. They keep facing issues as the datasets grows which leads to performance bottlenecks and slow query times but snowflake's architecture allowed me to sclae storage and compute resourcres independently which lead to my company paying for onlu what we used which actually benefitted us in the long run.
