Great for Chrome, but lack of Firfox support is a small hurdle
What do you like best about the product?
Virtru's simple toggle button interface and clean UI within GMail makes it easy to use and to feel safe that encryption is being enabled. The UI for receiving, opening, and managing encrypted emails is also cleaner than any I have seen with competitor platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
A good number of our users are heavily reliant on Firefox rather than Chrome, but do not use MS Outlook either. It is fine with the relatively small amount encrypted emails those users need to initiate to switch over to Chrome when necessary to send an encrypted message, but if possible a Firefox plug-in would be helpful in unifying processes across all of our staff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We relied on workarounds of and responding to partner's encrypted messages in order to send data through encrypted email or storing encrypted files on fileshares before acquiring our own encrypted email solution. We were instantly more assured of the security and safety of our practices once we implemented Virtru, and are able to communicate securely without second thought.
Helpful, but can be a little glitchy

I like that Virtru encrypts my data and that it's as simple as turning on and off
What do you dislike about the product?
We have a lot of clients who will have trouble accessing it or logging in, which is partially due to user error but also sometimes Virtru will just disallow use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to email sensitive information via a secured format is very helpful and solves the problem of communicating across databases. It's a major benefit for protecting information while at the same time sharing it where it's needed

That I do not have to worry about information getting leaked

There are a few steps to unlock messages but that is expected

sending information securely allows us to communicate when needed about member information and not get leaked.
Easy to Use Even for Less Tech-Savvy Users
What do you like best about the product?
The extension is easy to deploy and integrates seamlessly with workflows. It is user-friendly, even for those who are less tech-savvy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Encrypted messages in Google Drive are not editable without decrypting first and are not viewable within the Google Drive app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we ran into with previous encryption services is that outside organizations weren't keen on installing more software or creating more accounts. Virtru makes it easy to send encrypted messages to our customers that don't have Virtru without causing them headaches. It enables to satisfy our customers while remaining compliant.
Virtru is easy to use and helps me feel protected. It has a lot of good features as well.
What do you like best about the product?
One of the biggest upsides is being able to cancel emails even after having sent them. This is still true.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I will have to reinstall virtutru even when I didn't uninstall it. This is still true.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep information more private and stay in line with HIPPA regulations. This is still true.

There are some difficulties when moving between Google accounts, but mostly that is human error

We can send confidential health information securely. Ease of communication!

Knowing the email is secure and that we are in compliance with HIPPA.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes patients who receive emails have difficulty navigating the extra steps. Also, some gov't agencies are unable to open encrypted emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems to solve. Comfort knowing the email is encrypted.

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Vitru to make sure all our conversations with PHI is secure between patients and our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it seems to be difficult for our patients to open up the secure messages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our emails safe and secure with documents that we are sending to either patients or other company's.

THE EASY WAY TO TURN ON AND OFF THE PROTECTION

I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GET IT ON ALL OF MY EMAILS ON OTHER SERVERS. NOT JUST MY WORK EMAIL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I WORK IN MEDICAL AND REALLY LIKE THAT I KNOW MY EMAILS AND PATIENT INFORMATION ARE SAFE.
Love the time given to revoke an email that may have been sent to the wrong group of users
