Unified data search has improved cross-team insights and speeds up resolving recurring issues
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Glean Platform is aggregating company info like a super Google, and then also using agents to streamline repetitive processes.
A specific example of how I use Glean Platform for aggregating company info or streamlining processes is conducting searches across multiple data sources like Confluence and Jira and other stored local documents and spreadsheets.
I use Glean Platform to evaluate multiple existing issues and historical issues and to offer suggestions on solutions.
What is most valuable?
The best features Glean Platform offers, in my experience, include being able to connect data systems that would not normally be connected.
Connecting those data systems has helped me significantly; for example, connecting Confluence with Jira tickets gives a much more speedy perspective and is faster to search than using each system individually.
Glean Platform has positively impacted my organization by speeding up a lot of repetitive tasks and making it easier for people outside of support to understand what kind of issues impact the support groups.
I have seen approximately a 5% improvement on ticket handling closures, particularly in time to closure.
Glean Platform works very efficiently and is very fast as a system.
What needs improvement?
Glean Platform could be improved by adding some wizards when it comes to creating agents. This was the main thing on my mind regarding needed improvements.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Glean Platform for a year and a half.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Glean Platform is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment in that fewer employees are needed.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that the licenses were expensive, and it was hard to convince the company to adopt based on that.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using Glean Platform is to use the trial time frame to allow multiple groups to test adoption first, and then use those results to determine whether your individual groups would be able to actually leverage the new functionality. Get their feedback.
I have additional thoughts about Glean Platform in that it is excellent and operates like a super Google and is really helpful. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.
AI assistants have transformed daily project decisions and documentation for complex programs
What is our primary use case?
Glean Platform integrates with our enterprise data and tools and systems, so the use cases range from writing an email and replying to an email to reviewing documents like PRDs, RFCs, or system design documents and fetching answers for any open questions. I create many Glean Platform agents which can automate my use cases working in the capacity of a technical program manager, such as taking a first attempt at writing or drafting a project plan or escalation frameworks such as a RAPID document. I use Glean Platform for all these use cases which occur almost on a daily basis.
I use the RAPID framework, which is one of the escalation frameworks used by all organizations. RAPID means Recommend, Approve, Perform, Inform, and Decide. For any project where you are stuck at a decision, whether it is misalignment between product or engineering teams, a project that you are running with scope creep in the middle, misalignment between two engineering teams, or misalignment with the prioritization of any projects for any given quarter, you go through escalation and write a RAPID document which helps you reach a decision. A RAPID document identifies all the stakeholders for different functions and then also gives options such as option A or B, and then pros and cons of both options. It helps the decision maker to take an informed decision. Doing it manually is very time-consuming, and Glean Platform can do it in seconds. It can at least take a first attempt at it, and then if I am not happy with the output, I can make minor tweaks. For me, it works with eighty to eighty-five percent accuracy. This happens quite frequently. If I am running seven or eight projects in a quarter, out of those seven or eight projects, maybe two or three will have these misalignments, prioritization issues, or discussions where I need a RAPID document. Glean Platform helped me save a lot of time.
Glean Platform can range from very simple tasks such as drafting an email to writing an escalation email or summarizing a document, extracting key pointers, or creating personalized Glean Platform agents for my own use cases such as creating a project plan, taking a first attempt at writing a PRD, or creating a RAPID document. It can help with a variety of use cases.
What is most valuable?
The best feature of Glean Platform is that it can easily integrate into your enterprise and you can start using it almost immediately. Even a non-technical person can use it, so the learning curve is low and there is less barrier to entry. Anyone can create a Glean Platform agent and start using it for their own use cases. Creating a Glean Platform agent is very simple. You can just create a Glean Platform agent in natural language using AI, or you can customize the workflow manually if you want more accurate results. The ability to integrate with the entire enterprise data helps you take a first attempt at things such as writing emails, responding to comments in the PRD, creating a project plan, and writing a RAPID document. All these use cases are really powerful.
Productivity has really skyrocketed. Almost every person I talk to has created their own Glean Platform agents to do manual intensive tasks which would have required them maybe half an hour or one hour of work. Whether any stakeholder is a technical program manager, a product manager who would have spent a lot of time writing a PRD manually, or a software development engineer who would have taken a lot of time creating an RFC document or system design document, Glean Platform is very powerful. It can crawl through your entire enterprise data, think through the information, and then give output which is easily digestible and also very accurate. All these stakeholders are using Glean Platform for their own use cases. Their productivity has really increased. They are saving a lot of time which would have otherwise gone to doing this task manually.
What needs improvement?
Currently, Glean Platform does not integrate with Teams, Microsoft-owned platforms. The data which is residing in Teams conversations, meeting notes, emails, or Outlook cannot be crawled by Glean Platform. More customization and more integration would make it really powerful. Currently, it can read the entire organization data stored in wiki pages, Jira updates, or Slack channels, but it would have been more powerful if more connectors were provided to different platforms such as Microsoft-owned platforms, GitHub, Teams, or Outlook. This is one improvement that I foresee which would make Glean Platform more powerful.
The user interface of Glean Platform is actually really good. Speed depends on what kind of prompt you are giving and what kind of results you want from Glean Platform. I do not mind spending an additional three to four seconds and getting a more accurate result. The user interface is really easy to use. Of course, minor improvements can be made. The speed can be improved slightly. Currently, it sometimes takes fifteen to twenty seconds. If the speed can be improved slightly, users will adopt it more.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Glean Platform since the time I joined my current organization, which is almost one year and eight months, and I use it on a daily basis. It is really powerful and helpful.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Glean Platform is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Glean Platform is extremely scalable.
How are customer service and support?
For customer support with Glean Platform, we have an internal Slack channel, a Glean Platform support channel, or we can create a Jira ticket if we are stuck or need more features. Normally, it is very responsive. I do not think we are interacting directly with any Glean Platform customer support representative because we work for an enterprise that has its own internal Glean Platform support team. They might be interacting with the Glean Platform support team directly in case they are not able to solve anything. As an employee of my current organization, we do not directly interact with Glean Platform customer support. It is mostly through our internal customer support, and it is really good.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Glean Platform is my first exposure to enterprise AI. Glean Platform is the first solution of its kind that I have used and it is extremely powerful.
What was our ROI?
There is definitely time saved with Glean Platform. There is a direct correlation. I am easily saving one to two hours per week per program. If there are more programs, I am saving more. It is not just for the technical program manager. It applies to all the stakeholders that are involved in an initiative. There is a substantial time saving where Glean Platform is able to get results which you would have done manually. You would have never even gotten a result even if you spent multiple hours researching manually. Glean Platform is very powerful and can crawl through your entire enterprise data, learnings from other teams, project trackers from other teams, system design from other teams, and conversations happening on Slack. You can imagine the extent to which it can crawl through various platforms and give you a very accurate output. Time savings is definitely there, and if you convert time savings to dollars and money saving, that is also there. I cannot comment on how Glean Platform has replaced an employee yet because it improves your productivity, but I do not think it is replacing an employee. In the future it might for low-skill jobs, but for now it is mostly time saving and cost saving.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Being an employee, I am not quite sure about the pricing. I think the enterprise purchased enterprise licensing. The procurement team can speak more on this. We are just consumers of Glean Platform. I am not sure how much they negotiated per employee cost.
What other advice do I have?
Glean Platform is a game changer and very good at taking a first attempt at anything. It will save a lot of time. I gave Glean Platform a rating of nine out of ten.
AI agents have transformed how we compare offers and standardize complex project documents
What is our primary use case?
Glean Platform is currently being used primarily to focus on employee productivity. It is used for finding information, doing document comparisons, and educating our customers. For example, a banking customer selling credit card or loan solutions can compare and contrast two different credit card offers and find information quickly to serve customers better.
Glean Platform helps our teams and customers compare credit card offers or find information quickly by creating an agent for a particular set of data. This agent helps either a seller or myself to find information, upload two different credit card options or documents, and compare and contrast the differences very quickly within minutes rather than reading both PDFs and taking notes to explain to a customer. This improves productivity and saves time.
Our team uses Glean Platform primarily to find information quickly, do comparisons, and build agents across our own data. For example, we work on a lot of infrastructure builds with bill of materials for certain customers. Glean Platform helps us find and standardize the SKUs and standardize the SOW, or if the scope is the same across multiple projects in multiple countries, it helps us build a scope of work document across multiple projects in a couple of hours rather than doing manual effort.
What is most valuable?
Glean Platform offers several best features, including permission awareness, which is a very important security aspect. When you create an agent, the LLMs improve every three to six months, so Glean provides the flexibility to choose the large language model that is good at that given point in time. This flexibility allows me to have over 15 LLM models where a user can pick and choose whichever is best at that point.
Glean Platform's knowledge graph is excellent, integrating into the browser and giving a similar Google search feature look and feel, which is lightweight. Another important feature is the data connectors. All other agentic platforms have limited connections. For example, Copilot works well with the Microsoft suite but not on other integrations. Glean Platform provides over 100 connectors out of the box, which helps us and our customers reap the benefits of whatever information and investments customers make.
Glean Platform has positively impacted our organization, especially in terms of productivity for both us and our customers. Productivity has improved significantly with Glean Platform. The time saved for finding information and for comparing and contrasting definitely saves at least one to one and a half hours on average daily.
What needs improvement?
I did not find anything for Glean Platform that needs improvement. Although Glean is a single tenant architecture, customers might ask for an on-premise Glean Platform. I have not noticed much in terms of needed improvements. I think it is good for the productivity side, and whatever Glean Platform is doing is sufficient for now.
For how long have I used the solution?
It has been almost two years for us using Glean Platform.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Glean Platform is very stable, as far as I can tell.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Glean Platform's scalability is decent because it is a public cloud, and we have not encountered any issues.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have not switched from a different solution, but we were using both our own internal platform and Copilot along with Glean Platform. It depends on the type of task I want to accomplish. Before choosing Glean Platform, I evaluated other options, specifically Microsoft Copilot.
What was our ROI?
I have already mentioned that we save one to one and a half hours daily, which reflects our return on investment.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing has been fair. I do not think when you compare it with platforms available in the market, the price versus features versus whatever Glean Platform is offering is decent.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate Glean Platform a nine out of ten. I chose nine because customers do expect on-premise options, so that is why I did not give it a perfect ten. Currently, Glean Platform is deployed in our organization on a public cloud. We are using Google as our cloud provider, and by default, we are using the default Glean Platform which is on Google. The overall review rating for Glean Platform is nine.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information and resources are spread across our business, and Glean helps bring everything together in one place.
I’m still a new user when it comes to AI, and I’ve found Glean genuinely helpful so far.
Consolidating marketing content has streamlined sales prospect outreach and collaboration
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Glean Platform is consolidating marketing materials, as I work in DevOps Sales Ops. I set up this platform for the sales team to review material that might be useful for talking to prospects.
One specific example of how the sales team uses Glean Platform to find material for talking to prospects is when we had a prospect and Glean Platform was able to consolidate all the information that we had. That way it was easy to consolidate all the material and then create an email to send out.
What is most valuable?
The best features Glean Platform offers are mostly the view, which I think is very good.
What I find most helpful about the view is that the user interface is very good. It is very easy to chat with the chatbot and get all the material that I want in the way that I need it.
