Fast, org-wide search across Slack, Gmail, Calendar, and Drive (with occasional misses)

    Reviewed on Sep 10, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Glean connects with Slack, Gmail, Calendar, and my drive, and I’ve used it effectively to search for just about anything across my entire organization. It’s much faster for finding answers and documents, especially compared to Google Drive search when I’m trying to track down something buried across hundreds of slides. I also used it to write my quarterly review by pulling together who I worked with and supported this quarter across email, Slack, and Drive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it isn’t able to find the right resources. When that happens, I end up having to go to Slack and search myself, instead of it simply telling me it can’t find what I’m looking for. I also have to try searching again with different keywords to get it to show the right result.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s been 10x faster for writing my quarterly reviews. I usually forget a lot over the course of a quarter, but it helped me consolidate everything so I could write a clear summary for my manager in about 1/10th the time. It also makes it easier to find specific documents and content that’s hard to locate with Drive search.

One Search Bar Across Everything—Fast, Permission-Aware Results and Expertise Discovery

    Reviewed on Sep 01, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Glean is having a single search bar that actually spans everything I touch day to day — Confluence, Jira, Slack, Gmail, Salesforce, GitHub, and more — instead of me remembering which silo a doc lives in and re-searching it five times in five tools. As a PM, I'm constantly pulling context (a stakeholder's history on an account, a prior decision buried in a Slack thread, a PRD from months ago), and Glean surfaces the right result with permission-aware ranking so I'm not wading through things I can't even open. The employee/expertise search is a quiet favorite too — "who actually worked on X" resolves in seconds instead of a round of Slack pings. Net effect: less time spent re-finding institutional knowledge, more time spent using it. Worth it for us — the time saved searching across tools easily outweighs the cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
My honest nitpick, more a "could be even better" than a real gap: with so many sources connected, the out-of-the-box result mix sometimes skews toward the noisiest source (Slack threads) over the more authoritative one (a Confluence spec or Jira ticket) for the same query. It's not wrong, just not always weighted the way I'd want by default. A bit more control over per-source weighting or easy per-query source filtering would make an already strong tool feel even sharper for power users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Glean solves the "I know this exists somewhere, I just don't know where" problem. Before it, finding context meant checking Confluence, then Jira, then Slack, then asking a colleague — and often still not finding the original source. Now it's one search across all of those, so I can quickly pull up prior decisions, related tickets, past conversations, or the right subject-matter expert without the manual hunt-and-ask cycle. The benefit compounds in a PM role specifically: faster ramp-up on unfamiliar areas of the product, faster prep before stakeholder conversations, and fewer duplicated efforts because I can actually surface what's already been decided or built rather than re-litigating it. It also shortens the "who do I even ask" step — the expertise search gets me to the right person directly instead of routing through a chain of Slack pings. Net result is less time spent on information archaeology and more time spent on actual decision-making and execution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To enhance Glean's effectiveness, consider implementing more granular control over source weighting and filtering options. This would allow users to prioritize authoritative sources over noisier ones, ensuring more accurate and relevant search results. Additionally, providing customizable settings for power users could further refine the search experience, making it more tailored to individual needs.

Intuitive & Context-Informed, with Room for Improvement

    Reviewed on Aug 30, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how intuitive it is, especially for users who aren’t very familiar with AI. And of course, it’s super convenient having all of our company context available for really informed, helpful answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it doesn’t feel as consistent as other LLMs, for whatever reason. I’ve had multiple reports of people having better answers in GPT/Claude than in Glean using the same models. It can also be finicky with retrieving data from Microsoft apps, in my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise search has been a huge benefit for our company, especially because we are on many different ERPs and platforms. We are also using Glean to create a variety of agents for a variety of roles and business use cases, which has significantly sped up and potentially improved the accuracy of a number of workflows.

It has a clean user interface, and I like being able to view the entire organization structure in one platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the cost of subscription is on higher side. Since it indexes data across multiple apps and software's as it may lead to confidential risks. The Gen ai agent can give bad results based on the outdated data.

Connecting apps in one platform which acts like a unified interface. Accelerates the onboarding structure for the new hires Replaces manual browsing with Gen ai with direct answers
