Powerful and pleasant to use
What do you like best about the product?
Wallarm API Security is a great tool to have if you need to secure your domains from external attacks. We really like that it protects from all kinds of attacks including bots and massive requests spam. The dashboard is clean and informative, reports are highly customizable. Support team is very friendly and nice to talk to.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't have any problems so far, one suggestion is to add more best practices to the documentation site. Some training videos are also very welcome and we would love if Wallarm could provide some webinars from time to time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wallarm API Security secures our domains and has a very useful data on number and types of attacks, so we always know if we need to improve anything and also how to do it. Vulnerabilities scanner is also very good.

Amazing tool for your company
What do you like best about the product?
We're satisfied with Wallarm so far and can't complain too much. After proper configuration API Security platform is very stable, we also appreciate detailed data from the dashboard, it's very useful. Overall it's a nice product with few flaws. We also would like to mention nice documentation with best practices and very friendly support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
False positives can be a problem sometimes, so you have to be extra careful when adding a new domain to your perimeter. My advice is to always double-check your rules when you do that. This and a lot of time is required for configuration and initial deployment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to protect our perimeter from external attackers and all OWASP Top-10 threats are blocked very effectively, sometimes even too effectively. But you know, better have some false positives than full-scale security breach.
Simple to use once you configured everything
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is the dashboard, because it's clean, beautiful and easy to understand at the first glance. We worked a lot with Wallarm technical support to deploy NGINX on our Debian server. After that we also spent some time eliminating false positives on our client. So once you have all the correct rules it's a very simple and enjoyable tool. Don't be scared by initial deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I mentioned before, it takes a lot of time and courage to get everything right. Also if you deploy in cloud, you need to pay for cloud as well and it can be expensive for small companies. But we are lucky and we have a budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wallarm protects our environment and endpoints from external attacks. We also use it to monitor times when traffic is high and we use this information to adjust our activities and promotions.
Great reliability and good support
What do you like best about the product?
We needed to make a certain effort at the beginning of the installation of this product because we had to understand what type of deployment is the best for us and how it works in general. But once the installation is finished and we get used to it, then we don't need to worry about switching to any other solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we don't have anything to complain about except the installation process that our team experienced. But the support is there with great service, so we can get everything done.

Wallarm API Security Platform does benefit our team in the case of internet security. Wallarm is protecting us against every possible threat and also helping us to monitor in real time requests on our website.

The Wallarm API Security Platform helped our websites to run with the most reliable security. It has a helpful dashboard that contains a lot of information for monitoring our perimeter.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of installing the different modules for different OS is painful for me. I wish they had a simpler way to install/configure their modules into one solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wallarm API Security Platform has helped my team and me a lot in case of monitoring and tracking our websites vulnerabilities so when things go wrong we already know what to do.
API security with many impressive features
What do you like best about the product?
Wallarm API Security provides an excellent layer of protection for our perimeter and covers all our sites and domains. Customizable real-time monitoring and reporting are our favorite features. We were also able to configure different user roles and rights levels. This product has so much more than a regular NGINX proxy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rules writing and optimization can still be somewhat tricky even after you spend a lot of time learning how it works. We had to open a few tickets for the Wallarm support team, which is not an ideal scenario for us. We wish this process could be more streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Wallarm for external protection and internal testing. We also appreciate its ability to find legacy API gateways and make sure these can’t be used anymore. Now we have all the tools we wanted to control our data flow.

Limited integration options - Wallarm has a lot of integrations with popular web servers and platforms, at the same time we have to use webhooks for specific cases.
Price - the product cost is subjectively more suited for medium and big companies and enterprises. Still it’s a good way to spend your money.

External attacks and many potential vulnerabilities that target our applications. Now these are manageable and transparent to us. This proteciton and statistical data is very important for our company.
Reliable web security solution
What do you like best about the product?
Wallarm API Security Platform is incredibly easy to use, and its clean dashboard makes it simple to monitor our web security. I really like real-time protection features, overall it’s a great additional security layer for our web applications.

It’s a pretty good solution, I only wish there were more best practices and configuration examples in Wallarm documentation.

Wallarm API Security Platform has definitely improved my web security by effectively detecting and preventing a lot of attacks from hackers and bots. Now we’re also able to quickly identify and resolve any potential vulnerabilities.

Once setup then we can leave the system being monitored day and night by this amazing product & we have never seen a single breach while they are in front of us.

For each system it's a bit complicated to setup because the wallarm modules need to be compiled as per system basis e.g. if there is a change in OS or Web server version,

All sort of attacks like brute force, SQL injection, Path traversal, Scanners, so we do not need to worry about if there is any sort of new signature attack happening because its a behaviour based solution so its really amazing to have such solution where you just setup and then leave it rest of the job will be taken care by Wallarm and will protect your site from any sort of attack

What do you dislike about the product?
It's impressive technology, but false positives are an issue for us and require ongoing review and support. Whilst there is a "flag as false positive" feature, in order to get the most from Wallarm, you need to build rules to reduce these false positives, which can get fairly complex. The Wallarm support team has been happy to assist and they are very helpful and knowledgeable, but we are still getting quite a few false positives which is preventing us from turning on full blocking mode because it would block too many legitimate requests.
Therefore it's taking longer than expected for us to feel the full benefit of Wallarm. It is not a problem per se but has required us to readjust our expectations about what is involved to fully realise Wallarm's potential.
