Easy to use interface, great support
What do you like best about the product?
I had a few problems using the interface, but the REAL HUMAN on the chat was brilliant at supporting me very quickly. Quality is excellent.

Nothing so far, although I am at the beginning of my journey

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia jumps right in with onboarding. From initial Live Host Webinars (101 and 102) to Learning Center with short, on the spot video education, to chatbot and live chat support, to have support enabled to to right to your video preparation (with approval) and assist.
I am all about being empowered to utilize a solution and Synthesia is all over it.

What do you dislike about the product?
Tools and controls abound, all of them enabling a more dynamic and engaging video. I am tryijng to hold off "Generating" (multiple drafts under my belt) my first video until at least after attending Webinar 102 (tomorrow--102 was today).
So, the upside is feature-rich, the downside is...well, my bad.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using video media can create dynamic, informative communication. It is ideal to provide detailed information in a few minutes across many social media platforms.
Overview of Synthesia
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, the different characters and the library of voices and accents. I can easily use it with other content editing software. The rendering time isn't long.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting certain intonations can be a little tricky, in some cases impossible. The amount of minutes we get in our subscription feels short. Some of my minutes were used up in just figuring out what the end product looks like. I think there may be a difference in what I hear during editing in Synthesia, to what I get after it's been rendered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia allows us to have a faceless content creating platform, as well as add additional "partners" to explain information or tell stories.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the AI assistant feature. I've been uploading documents to it for its use as a reference when creating videos. It cuts down so much production time. The Ease of implementation of ideas to video is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could change the colors of the shirts on different AI Avatars.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing my team to pump out videos that have a human feel at a lightning pace. It's great not having to work with humans to get the perfect take. It's also allowing us to create more video content from our text content, thus reaching new audiences.
Creating training and demo videos
What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can import media as well as screen record. Being able to add your own script and have the AI voiceover is really useful and time-saving as you don't have to record yourself.

What do you dislike about the product?
Screen-recording:
- the screen-recording starts as soon as you click "Share" which is often frustrating as you don't have the time to position your clicker. It would be really useful to have the option to have a timer for when the recording should start (e.g 3 seconds).
- the mouse clicker also disappears in the finished screen recording when your mouse clicker is positioned at the same place for longer than 1 second. This is frustrating as the mouse clicker just randomly disappears and re-appears in the video which doesn't look good.
Adding shapes/texts:
- when trying to add and position shapes at a certain point in the video, the video goes back and pauses at the beginning of the video so I need to roughly guess where I want to position it. I then have to play the video to see if it is positioned correctly. If not, I have to re-position the shape but the video always goes back and pauses at the beginning of the video, so I have to roughly guess again where the correct position is. It would be very useful to be able to pause the video where I want it paused so I can then position the shape(s) correctly.

Synthesia is helping me save time from having to record my own voice-over. With Synthesia, I'm able to provide a script and it gets an AI to do the voice-over for me.

I save so much time and money now that I don't have to hire actors.

The editing isn't the best. I actually import it into Premiere Pro afterwards and do my editing there.

The other one can be that the advanced features and customizations seem overwhelming for beginners. More attention to a more in-depth tutorial or onboarding process might help users pick these features up sooner.
Moreover, the tool remains pretty user-friendly on the whole, but there are a lot of hitches, quirks, and issues from time to time, especially when working on more significant projects. That would be great, continued improvement in these areas of stability and performance. These are minor shortcomings on the otherwise excellent score of Synthesia. Synthesia is one of those applications that take one of the most time consuming aspects of content creatation, script wrting and reduces it by half

The usual thing with any application that works well is the cost, but again the pros of Synthesia allow you to justify the expence.

primarily saving time with script writing using the AI assistant and turn around time is greatly reduced for video requests
Synthesia for Training content
What do you like best about the product?
With Synthesia, I can create videos for my corporate training courses at a speed that is second to none!
Currently, by using Synthesia, we can put 1-2 training sessions with about 5-6 videos online in just one day, which previously took weeks, if not months! I think the avatars, which are constantly being updated and are becoming more and more expressive, are fantastic!

There is hardly anything to complain about the software, as the development team has so far responded to every suggestion and always has an open ear for ideas.
The only thing I would miss is the ability to add chapters to the videos when they are created.
