My Experience using Synthesia

What do you dislike about the product?
Compared the video resolution of Synthesia's output with HeyGen's output, HeyGen has better resolution. We will investigate further what is the cause of lower resolution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast video production, useful for my business (we do e-learning content).

It is very efficient and time effective.

It is very nice expensive and stressful to count minutes that are rendered.

The avatars take away the need to expensive video shooting. Course identity is also very easy to create.

What do you like best about the product?
Generating presentations and informational videos works very well. The text to voice is in 95% of the cases very good. In some cases there are adjustments necessary. To control actions in video via hooks in the text is done well and as a result you get a video which is nearly like a human would speak it.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases you have to find some crative dictation-workarounds so that the AI prononces some words correctly.
The bundled minutes in the non-enterprise-packages are for rare video creation. Esprecially if you find a "bug" in a video and have to regenerate the whole video again and loose the minutes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia allows us to free time from people who are not professional speaker by creating videos or presentations to inform users and customers.
Almost too easy
What do you like best about the product?
I find the program to be very intuitive. Videos that used to take weeks now take a matter of hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
It may have this capability but I havent figured it out yet but I would like to be able to upload video clips and clip them as needed to fit the presentation.

Synthesia cuts the time to create training videos substantially allowing for creation of more videos

What do you like best about the product?
It' easy to use, the avatars and the voices are very varied. Very good toolset to create videos and easy to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even if the selected language is de-de, the voice does not sound very natural in german language, it sound very syntetic. This is much better for englisch languages

Promising Platform with many Useful Tools at a Friendly Price
What do you like best about the product?
For me the best features are being able to clearly move when animations occur i.e when they are triggered. It makes for clear and easy editing. The voice is good and realistic. Many of the design aspects, including the AI inclusion of slides based on a website is a great start for any video - removing the 'Staring at a blank screen' feeling.
Customer service is very helpful, supportive and human - especially for an AI company.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to edit the volume of the voice itself is annoying and un-efficient as I still had to rely on another platform.
Their weakest feature is probably the AI faces, as their mouths often don't match the script.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a relatively small business, having a voice actor and/or presenter is difficult and timely to acquire especially when such videos may need to be redesigned and edited frequently, Synthesia is helpful as you are in control and it can be changed frequently.

I love the amount of avatars which you can use and the templates which are already generated.

The cost, although it is a great platform the cost is a little steep.

The biggest thing is always time, but with this great platform you can create videos quicker than you can pay for them.
Synthesia is a great product to create videos in different languages!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and quality of the videos, the ability to record in different languages, the personalized avatar, the diversity of avatars.
What do you dislike about the product?
The background images sometimes lose definition. Communication with the customer support team could be better. I would like to interact with a real person rather than with the chatbot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to create videos and templates that I can tweak for different audiences. Also, I'm creating videos with dialogues in Spanish for a Medical Spanish Course. I'm also creating videos in French and Italian. It saves time and facilitates communication that is more appealing to the eye and to younger generations.
