Seamless Training Videos, Engaging and Efficient
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can upload content and have a video created that I can just edit, which is very time efficient. I like the avatars because they make it feel like there's a person with our learners rather than them being alone. Adding videos in the background and music are features I appreciate, as they enhance the learning experience by making it more engaging and personalized. Also, Synthesia makes it easy to convert PPTs into videos, which helps when we're short-handed on instructors. Setting it up was very easy, and I made my first video within hours. I was able to train my team on using it within a day or two.
What do you dislike about the product?
The avatar sometimes can be a little weird, especially when speaking. I know with AI, it does look like it is AI. So that's one of the things that I just feel sometimes can just look a little on the weird side. But as far as, like, improving, I think the interactive features would be nice, to, I guess, to make it more interactive. I know the current features that we have are good, but I think I personally would like a better way that the user could interact with the video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create engaging training videos, making learning interesting and fun. It helps with time efficiency and allows for independent learning when we're short-staffed. The avatars and music features ensure learners don't feel alone and can match the video's theme.
Smooth, Easy Training Videos with Auto Voice Sync
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can not only write out my content, but also upload a voice recording, and it automatically syncs to the avatar I’m using. On top of that, the user interface is extremely easy to navigate, which makes the whole experience feel smooth and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that I can’t preview the actual avatar during the creation process. I have to fully render the video just to see how it looks, and that can sometimes take hours, depending on the video’s length.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don’t always have people with the bandwidth to record audio files, so being able to leverage AI to create those videos has been a game changer for us. We also generally don’t have anyone in an office setting who can record a high-quality video, and Synthesia lets us generate AI backgrounds that look and feel real and professional.
PowerPoint-Like Editing, But Slow Uploads and Video Limits Hold It Back
What do you like best about the product?
PowerPoint like editing options that allow me to easily use the user interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Very slow and upload limits that prevent me from adding videos into my videos in the synthesia environment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning video generation and video editing
Great for Training Videos, Needs Smoother Scene Transitions
What do you like best about the product?
I like the customization options that are available in Synthesia and the quick turnaround for completing a video. The ability to highlight sections of a PowerPoint or slide to emphasize specific material also helps in getting my point across better.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I've really struggled with is going from slide or scene to scene and not knowing how one scene ends and how that transposes into the next scene, sometimes that's a little fuzzy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create training videos, solving the need for someone to run live sessions. Its customization options and quick video turnaround help me emphasize key points better than with just a PowerPoint.
Efficient E-Learning Creation but Needs Intuitive UI
What do you like best about the product?
I like Synthesia for its speed and quality, which cuts down on my building time. It also features many applications I use in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't enjoy the layers, you should be able to make avatars invisible as you can assets. Also, the background music feature needs work. The learning curve is strange; for an easy product, it's not very intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to reduce voice recordings and animation time. Its speed and quality cut down on my building time and it consolidates many applications in one place.
Engaging Training Content Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Synthesia for creating engaging training videos quickly. I find its user-friendly interface very helpful. I appreciate having a direct contact to go to with questions and concerns, and the great communication with the representative. I love that Synthesia offers weekly webinars covering new and old program features. The fact that the product is constantly evolving is something I really value. Additionally, their learning platform and community page are both fantastic, and having a community of other users to collaborate with is great. The initial setup of Synthesia was also very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some layout stuff when you are doing the designing, like not being able to minimize the design panel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia helps me create engaging training videos quickly for a large company with over 320 locations.
Engaging Content Creation with Some Usability Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Synthesia's videos to create more engaging and interactive content for associates. The creativity and flexibility of the avatars are standout features, and I appreciate the design capabilities when it comes to personalized avatars. They're unique but also simple to create. Additionally, our onboarding support team was great and very helpful during the setup process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think just ease of use. Within the platform. Some of the design features aren't as intuitive as they could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create development courses, making content for associates more engaging and interactive with videos, using its design capabilities and personalized avatars for creativity and flexibility.
Dynamic Training with Synthesia's Interactive Features
What do you like best about the product?
I've really enjoyed meeting every Friday and hearing from people who interface with the program, providing different insights and tips and tricks, which I can apply every time I create a new training. I think that's very personable and interactive. It's really amazing that Synthesia allows us to make dynamic videos, transforming the teaching and learning experience without spending a lot on creating videos, which our company wouldn't have otherwise. The efficiency has elevated our training platform and the services we can provide to our learners, allowing us to reach a large audience dynamically. I appreciate that Synthesia supports visual content through video and audio, moving away from traditional PowerPoint training. The weekly meetings provide a supportive community who quickly respond to feedback, which is very helpful. Learning on my own was easy, thanks to access to recorded videos and resources, and the support around incorporating AI features has been great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the challenge is that the AI features are remarkably new, so there are oftentimes glitches in using it, and having to regenerate takes time. It's a challenge because it's time-consuming and like learning as we go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia lets us create dynamic videos, transforming our teaching approach and reaching a large, diverse audience. It replaces outdated one-dimensional PowerPoint training, making learning interactive and engaging with video and audio.
Versatile Video Creation for Training & Development
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of the platform. I thought we had a great onboarding experience, being able to walk through week by week with an onboarding team to help us figure out how we were gonna use Synthesia and what we needed assistance with, which has made the world of difference. I really appreciate the variety of options that we have with the platform. There are so many different avatars, voices, and backgrounds that we can make videos all look different. No two videos will look the same.
What do you dislike about the product?
We're hoping that we can find more use cases in the internal comms. It's just further development of videos for our team. Though, really, we're using it in great capacity right now. It's not necessarily not working well. It's just, you know, even more use cases. For my use case, if someone's just doing internal comms, I'd probably give it an eight just because there are some features that we're waiting on to be launched.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia helps us create professional, quick videos by uploading scripts and turning team input into a worthwhile product, which is a game changer.
10x the training with no voice acting costs.
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to create voiced training that would otherwise be too costly or time consuming to record ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes changing one part of a text will cause pronunciation changes in other unrelated areas. This requires a top to bottom proof after even minor changes. I've also seen accent fluctuations caused by seemingly nothing. The voice will sometimes sound british or australian for a single word and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how to fix it. I usually just reword sections until it stops.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the cost and time crunch associated with doing bespoke voice recording.
