Highly Customizable and Time-Saving Video Creation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Synthesia allows me to create professional trainings that can be in practically any language, which is great for our customers. I appreciate being able to create amazing, on-brand videos that are interactive and engaging, and I find the platform to be highly customizable. The fact that most avatars are realistic enhances the quality, and I enjoy that Synthesia continuously releases new features that align with the AI hype, helping us save a lot of time. I also love how easy it is to build content and decide when and where items appear in the video. I can input my own images and videos easily, in addition to having many options available on the Synthesia platform. They're very responsive to feature releases and have a robust knowledge base. The initial setup was very simple, which added to the overall convenience and efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love if we could build in chapters within each video to make it easier to skip through parts; I think they may be working on this feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create professional trainings in practically any language, craft engaging on-brand videos quickly, and customize them with ease, saving us time.

The access to the login page could be more visible on the mobile website

Spending time recording videos and editing it is time consuming and using synthesia personal avatar solves this problem.

What do you like best about the product?
I mostly use Synthesia for in-app guidance, instructions, and welcoming users. I love how extremely easy it is to create a video that looks professional and is hard to distinguish from a live video recording. The feature where I can easily select an avatar, pick a voice, and add text to emphasize key points is fantastic. I also appreciate the excellent selection of stock avatars, which makes creating videos even more engaging. The initial setup was extremely easy, and this ease of use adds to the overall positive experience with Synthesia.
What do you dislike about the product?
The content review process. I understand the content restrictions required by using a stock avatar and have no problem with these rules. But the interpretation of the rules has been forcing my videos into review and even rejection. I suspect the evaluation is being done by AI with humans to handle the appeal process but just yesterday I took a video that was already completed (and thereby approved) and added captions and nothing else but the new video was rejected. This inconsistent application of the rules is frustrating. It is also frustrating that the rejection never says specifically what was at fault in my content and what specific compliance rule was violated. If that was identified, I would adjust but instead I am left to modify, try again, sometimes 3-4 times before I finally stumble on the specific phrase that flagged my content in the first place.

Synthesia makes creating professional-looking videos easy, which helps me engage users with video tutorials for confusing sections of our application.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Synthesia doesn't require users to be incredibly tech-savvy to operate it. You just type up the words you want, select an AI avatar, and create. Downloading the MP4 is simple and easy to include in our back office platform. It saves us time and reduces frustration because it's easy to correct and update the content. Working in real estate where rules change quickly, not having to rewrite scripts and shoot video content is usually effective for updating our online information. Also, setting up the account and starting using it was incredibly easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Improvement could be made on some of the avatars as we generate multiple videos using different avatars. Some are more human-like than others. I did a custom avatar and although the likeness physically was good, the voice-over was not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia helps us save time and frustration by easily updating content with welcome videos that provide overviews, plus it's simple to correct and update.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used some other avatar platforms in the past, and I can easily say that Synthesia is by far the easiest platform to navigate, whilst standing out in creating the most aesthetically pleasing content, especially for a corporate environment. Customer support is also excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to make some sentences be read out slower instead of having to implement 1 or 2s pauses every now and then.

I am able to create high quality content both in the fraction of the time, as well as at a fraction of the cost than it would have using a studio and film crew.

The realism and emotional range of the avatars could be better. I also see some room for growth in creative flexibility. There can be occasional issues with the content moderation system, and the pricing structure could be more suited for high-volume or specific use cases.

The translate feature doesn't work for me in my creator plan.

The new Avatars are fantastic. I’d love to see more of them, and I think it would be great to replace the older ones.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, when your video is rejected for different reasons, it can be difficult to figure out exactly what caused the issue. It would be helpful to have more detailed information about the specific reason for the rejection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create ads to promote our customer webinars and also produce videos for our social media posts.

I think the main area where Synthesia could improve is in offering a greater number of customizable avatars. Having more geographically and culturally diverse avatars would significantly enhance the user experience, facilitating better representation and personalization.

Revolutionizing Learning with Multilingual Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia offers the easiest pathways to including synthetic human avatars speaking a variety of languages to our educational products. We wanted to affirm the identity of all learners regardless of their ability to read text. They don't have to - they have avatars to help them learn! We already have dozens of videos in English, Spanish and Arabic with avatars that switch easily between multiple languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most time-consuming aspect of getting our Synthesia videos ready to publish, is making certain the phrasing and pronounciation is correct for the spoken text. The tools are there - but it takes a real human to know if the avatar sounds right or not.

We are working with individuals that don't read well, and need an audio interface to understand presented content in multiple languages.
