How has it helped my organization?
Synthesia has many benefits for my company, and I can list some of them. Synthesia is a tool you can use rapidly, so it helps me to be efficient and meet deadlines. Synthesia is cost-efficient because you don't need to hire different people who know different languages, which saves a lot of money. If you use Synthesia, you don't need to hire actors or voice-over people.
Synthesia helps with consistency, so when I do a project in Spanish, I know that it translates and uses the Portuguese version in our company. Synthesia ensures that both language versions, Spanish and Portuguese, are consistent in quality. With Synthesia, you have the same avatars or the same look despite the language changes.
What is most valuable?
Synthesia allows you to be really creative, and I use it for role-playing. I think Synthesia helps me make my work more engaging.
What needs improvement?
With Synthesia, I hope that some of its features related to the translation portion will come into place soon. If I create something in Spanish with the solution, I either have to send that content to a translator or use Google Translate and get a native speaker to review the text before I put it back in Synthesia and download it into another language. I think Synthesia could have a built-in translator, which would be amazing and extremely helpful since it would make the whole process much more time-efficient.
Even though I love that in Synthesia, the voices are very clear, and its ability to enunciate words very well, everything in the solution still sounds and looks slightly robotic. Synthesia has come a long way, but I can see that in a couple of months, it will continue to improve further.

I have been using Synthesia for probably five months. I use the solution's latest version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I personally have not had any issues with the product's stability. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

I have past experience with Vyond.
How was the initial setup?
In terms of the product's initial setup, I can say that it is extremely user-friendly. I think you can quickly learn the basics in Synthesia, and as you play around with the tool, you can get a little bit fancier, so in my case, I like to incorporate music when I edit and use videos in the background. You can use images and videos from other sources, so you are not tied into Synthesia's videos and images.
The solution is deployed on the cloud. I use a username and password to access the tool.
What was our ROI?
I can say that I have seen a return on investment based on the amount of time that Synthesia has saved for my company and the feedback that my company has received from its users, who found it engaging, which in turn made them like it. I think that my company wants to find that perfect fine line so as not to overuse the solution since we don't want people not to find it to be special anymore.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I did not evaluate other tools in the market against Synthesia since I considered it to be a go-to tool for me.
What other advice do I have?
I was suggested to make use of Synthesia's diction features. It definitely occurs at times when a pronunciation will not be what you want it to be, and Synthesia's diction feature turns out to be a great component because you can just type in what you want a word to sound like.
I love the tool, but I still think it has potential for improvement, so I rate the overall product a nine out of ten.
A stable solution that can be used to create learning videos for customers and partners
What is our primary use case?
The company I worked with used Synthesia to create learning videos for our customers and partners.
How has it helped my organization?
Synthesia improved our organization by streamlining a lot of the work that would have gone into video production and making it more dynamic. The solution also increased the turnaround time and made everything very, very fast.
What is most valuable?
Synthesia provides the ability to have the characters say nearly anything that you need them to, and its pronunciation library gives the absolute correct pronunciation that you need for any number of words. It allowed our characters to see the name of the company correctly without a lot of shortcuts or workarounds.
What needs improvement?
Synthesia's video editor needs to be improved. We're working with our Synthesia rep to get this issue at the forefront of the developer's minds. I haven't used it in a few months, but the last time I picked it up, the video editor wasn't that great.
Synthesia should include a good audio editor and a better timeline UI.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Synthesia for nine months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Synthesia is a very stable solution.
I rate Synthesia an eight out of ten for stability.

Although it can scale, the price points dramatically increase once you hit a certain number of users. At that point, it's much better to either have a small team working with the tool or go all in and have an enterprise-wide solution.

For what it is, I think Synthesia is priced pretty reasonably, but smaller businesses might be uncomfortable with such a large price tag. For what it is, the amount of time it saves, and the amount of work hours it saves, Synthesia is definitely worth the price.
What other advice do I have?
Synthesia was deployed on-cloud in our organization.
I would ask users to give it some time, look at all of the features that Synthesia offers, and be very open-minded. Also, it's best not to let a technical person evaluate Synthesia. Instead, let someone who is in video production or graphic design evaluate it because they are the ones who will understand the full capabilities of the tool.
Overall, I rate Synthesia a nine out of ten.
Great product when used with other video editors
What do you like best about the product?
Quality video avatars and a good TTS engine
What do you dislike about the product?
Online video editor is rather sluggish. I found it more convenient to export the avatar and a narration into a proper video editor (i.e. Shotcut).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia helped me to create online tutorials. Video avatars look professional and the voiceover is good. Pronunciation mostly matches the text.

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is simple, fast and efficient. Its ergonomic design saves my teams time, and the results impress my customers and prospects.
What do you dislike about the product?
American-only avatar profiles that can't be serious showcases for corporate communications. When we go through a casting process, it's because we're looking for a serious profile to fit with our customers. If you offer a gallery of avatars, it's to avoid casting. So, we need a wide range of profiles, but not according to the standards of inclusiveness "made in USA"... Especially when you offer so many languages.
Besides, some profiles aren't very good. i.e. Colette! Her name sounds French, but she's not French at all. Her eyes keep wandering to a teleprompter at the bottom of the screen. It's not professional, so it's unusable. A product plus would be to interface Synthesia with Canva, etc.

Synthesia solves an essential problem: time! Time to market is reduced to its simplest form. From ideation to launch, it's a matter of hours, not days. What's more, what used to be out of reach is now very affordable.

AI Avatar's for professional video productions
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia was one of the first apps allowing you to create professional video's using AI controlled avatars, and your own picture. We have used it now for several years for creating instruction videos, sometime also for multiple languages - I love the many features in Synthesia, and how it's constantly expanded with new features. I also love that is is easy to use for creating these videos - It's story board is very easy to use, and the number of AI generated avatars is constantly extended. I have used its support a few times, and they have been very helpful - there are lots of good examples and instructions to make you get going quickly. I like that its a web app, so there is nothing to install or implement you your laptop.So far it's the best app in this category I have used.

The text-to-voice feature often mispronounce Swedish words

The platform provides different licensing plans. We have subscribed to their basic plans. They also offer an enterprise plan with unlimited access to all the features. We want an enterprise plan but haven’t received any response from the support team regarding the demo.
