Synthesia is amazing
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is simply amazing!
Whether for simple PowerPoint presentations or entire training courses in an LMS.
The results are stunning, and the effort is minimal.
A great feature is the split between an avatar and the multi-language voices. That way you choose one avatar and can make it speak in multiple languages. This is great for the LMS usage!
I'm using it on every project right now, and the large number of different avatars makes it easy to find one for every special need.
Support is fast and very helpful. Same for their great webinars!
And the good thing is they are still evolving it and are making it even more comfortable.
I don't want to miss it anymore!

Nothing to dislike - only waiting for new features to arrive !

Right now, avatars in content are still so new that they catch attention.

What do you like best about the product?
The upsides to using Synthesia is that the platform offers a scripting tool as well as voice narration to compliment the avatars. The STUDIO is easy to navigate with all the features easily accessible for use on multiple projects and changes are easy to implement. The library is able to integrate your companies personal branding elements as well as Synthesia's own library of assets. The Synthesia team also regularly check in with you to ensure you have enough support throughout your production.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system does tend to slow down when there are too many elements on a singular project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems Synthesia helps to solve is efficiency as we are a small team that handles multiple projects of the same manner. By using Synthesia we cut down on time spent in meetings as well as time spent writing scripts from scratch as well as creating slide decks from scratch.
Super easy-to-use video creations for novices
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia made my PowerPoint video look elementary. It is so easy to learn. No job-aids needed! The AI-generated video is amazing. A few answers to some questions will generate a good product! I have had fun with changing the avatars and voices. I spent more time thinking about the storyline and messaging than learning the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the few words that the voice does not enunciate well, Synthesia has a feature to spell out how to pronounce the word. I had a hard time figuring out how to write how to pronounce it so the voice would say it correctly. For example, resume was hard for me to get right. Can't really use a synonym, so had to accept a good-enough stance on how it sounded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not a trained instructional designer, however, I have made several short videos to teach people on topics related to career development. I have replaced some old PowerPoint videos. I think employees at my organization would prefer to watch a 1-2 minute video than read a one-pager flyer.

Simplicity and all templates and, of course, the Avatars.

Sometimes it takes too long to process the videos.

Speed to create and share vídeos.

I love the adaptability. I think it creates a ease of use for users when they are looking to learn about my companies software.

The Avitars need to have better facial expressions and we need more api integrations

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, speed at which you can generate videos, collaboration, hasslefree to edit. Also the fact that there are new updates being done constantly to the ability of Synthesia.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish I had the option of exporting individual slides as opposted to one final video.

Including talking head videos within learning solutions make it more engaging & also relavant.

The new Avatars and custom ones are a game changer, they have elvated our video production massivly

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia lets us create professional training videos to go along side hard written documents in a matter of hours rather than days, meaning we can make process changes or deploy to new locations much quicker whilst maintaing standards
Nothing else in the market like it
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I am always being surprised and blown away by the new features and product enhancements they make. Nothing else in the market compares to it - not even Microsoft - and they are all-in with Co-Pilot and AI. Video generation is FAST. Language translation is a game-changer for international companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the process of syncing up the script and shape animation to be made easier. I can create a video quickly but this is the part that slows me down.

It helps us create instructional how-to videos faster and makes them sustainable in the future.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of editing content/ voice over when there are needed modifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the translation services were a bit better. We are still having to have those written by an outside source. However, I am sure over time they will improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past to have videos we have had to bring in talent from our workforce, then with every edit that was needed we would have to bring them back in. Many times we woudl have to start over becasuse that employee was no longer with the company. In a fast paced environment this was becoming extremely costly.
One of the best tools to simplify life straightaway
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy and straightforward, there's no need for a learning curve, and it's very useful from day 1

Lip sync could be slightly improved, renering time could be faster
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If I would have had to record a how-to's in different languages before Synthesia, I would have had to hire an agency and spend at least 5k. Here I can record as many good quality videos as I fancy, in every possible language at a fraction of the cost
