Amazing product, very user friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease and response time. Now the added AI to revise, rewrite text is a game changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using a video as a background I have not been able to insert another video or for the background video to exit and upload another one in the same frame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

From Zero to Pro in Minutes – How Synthesia Became My AI Video Sidekick
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly? Synthesia happens when UX designers and AI engineers talk to each other. The ease of use is phenomenal – even if you’re more PMBOK than Premiere Pro. The process is so intuitive from script to video that even first-time users can publish like pros. I had my first avatar video live in under 30 minutes – no joke.
Implementation? Also refreshingly smooth. No technical rabbit holes, no IT drama. Just log in, explore the templates, and go. The onboarding experience feels like it was designed by someone who knows how to launch fast and iterate faster.
The customer support? Quick, clear, and human. You don’t end up in chatbot limbo. They're on it if there’s a hiccup (like a pronunciation quirk or avatar glitch).
I use Synthesia weekly, sometimes daily, especially for creating training content, executive updates, and thought leadership videos that need to look polished without burning half a day.
And for a platform that’s dead simple, it’s surprisingly feature-rich: multilingual voices, screen recording integrations, team collaboration, and even AI-assisted scriptwriting. It hits the sweet spot between simplicity and power.

Let’s keep it real – no tool is perfect. The number of features is solid, but if you’re dreaming of complete cinematic flexibility, Synthesia’s templated style might feel limiting. The avatars have come a long way, but are still not ready for a Netflix drama. Longer or emotional content can feel a bit stiff.
The ease of integration could improve. I’d love native connections to more LMS systems, cloud drives, or project tools like Asana or Jira (you know me 😅). Right now, the workflows work, but they’re more export/import than plug-and-play magic.
Also, while pricing is fair for power users, teams that only need 2–3 videos a month might find it overkill unless they’re repurposing content smartly across platforms.

No need for cameras, lighting, voice actors, or post-production marathons. I can create professional, consistent video assets in under an hour – and look like I had a full media team behind me.
🌍 Creating content for global & remote audiences
With multilingual voiceovers and avatars, I can deliver the same message in different languages – ideal for international clients, dispersed teams, and cross-border programs.
💡 Transforming static content into engaging formats
Synthesia lets me turn slide decks, process flows, or whitepaper nuggets into short videos that actually get watched. Engagement goes up, explanations get clearer, and the message lands better.
🔄 Scaling personal presence without being everywhere at once
Whether I need to kick off a workshop, onboard a new client, or publish expert insights – I can “show up” via video without physically being in the room (or Zoom).
Bottom line: Synthesia helps me scale my voice, streamline production, and keep content visually engaging – which is a huge win when you're juggling strategic programs, content delivery, and AI innovation all at once.

A lot more difficult to use than I expected after the sales pitch of synthesia's sales team.

It doesn't feel intuitive to me. Not PP!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After four months of trial and error, I still have to get one synthesia video out and published. I am still hoping, that synthesia is going to make it more attractive for my viewers -more attractive than a PP slide show - to listen to my abstract financial subjects. Once I get it working I hope it will be easier to regularlly produce videos w/o/ video equipment and video software.
A powerful tool to create interactive and engaging content
What do you like best about the product?
quick, effortless, and highly engaging — creating videos with Synthesia is a game changer. Before, I used PowerPoint and voice recordings, but I’m no actress! Now, I can produce professional-quality videos without being on camera. Plus, Synthesia supports multiple languages — a lifesaver when I need content in 10 different ones I don't even speak!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to create also interactive quizzes and branches scenarios using Synthesia. Keeping this tool as the one and only to use

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service was fast. My issue was resolved immediately. The Avatar looks pretty good.

My voice doesn't sound like me at all and I don't find any option to record it again.

I hope it will save me a lot of time. I just created my personal avatar, but the voice does not sound like me at all. I hope I resolve this issue without having to record my entire avatar video again. It's just too much work.
Great tool, a lot of options to chose from, simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
It works great with all languages, also better as other tools like HeyGen. Can't say anything about integration, i only use it for video production. The customer support was a good help!

Its expensiv to use, the minutes with the biggest normal package is 30 min of production.

Reduce the cost of video production for my company
Synthesia makes the creation and editing of videos easy!
What do you like best about the product?
With our prior tools, creating and editing a video was a time-laboured process. With Synthesia, and its use of scenes, we are able to quickly access and edit parts of the video and recreate the final deliverable in significantly less time. As my team documents technical products with interfaces that are tweaked and changed based on customer feedback, the ability to quickly edit has allowed us to output more training videos each month.
Because the solution is cloud-based, we also save ourselves from having to store and manage the files that are the source of our videos.
We are able to link the created video via a URL into our training portal. When we make updates, we simply republish the video and it is automatically up-to-date in our training portal.
We also use the automated translation to create versions of our videos in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Italian with a simple click of a button.
Because the solution is cloud-based, we also save ourselves from having to store and manage the files that are the source of our videos.

What do you dislike about the product?
We have had to develop a home-brewed backup strategy to ensure that we have a copy stored outside of the standard workspace, as it seems easy for someone to accidentally delete a video. Deleted videos are still saved for 30 days, but after that they are gone forever.
When it comes to translations, I would like to be able to mark phrases in the script and presentation to "not be translated". This is important for us as we are a coding language where much of the code uses English phrases. To overcome this, we are using images of the code in the presentations (images are not translated) but we cannot do this in the script.
It would also be nice to be able to modify the English version and then press a button to have only the modifications written out to the existing translated videos. As it stands now, when we make modifications, the entire video gets re-translated and we lose any editing that had taken place in a previous translation's review.

Great platform to develop interactive videos with or without AI
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive dashboard design, easy to use, detailed features that allow you to customize the videos in many different ways, down to the volume and type of music that plays in the background. You can change the pronunciation of words, which is helpful when including medical terminology. It is neat that you can create your own avatar and have it speak different languages in your video - that is a helpful feature in ensuring your videos are easily accessible to students where English is not their primary language. The publishing of the MP4 and the VTT file that downloads with it are great and make publishing the videos on various platforms easier. Additionally, its helpful that we can create folders to organize the videos created.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a way to "add minutes" without having to adjust your membership, especially if your employer pays for your membership. They may not be able to provide the funds to increase your subscription to the next level. However, they may be able to afford a smaller purchase of adding minutes to the account. Additionally, I did find some challenges in publishing videos that contained medical information (for nursing students) with a Synthesia-provided Avatar. That was a significant learning curve for me, and I learned that I needed to use my own created Avatar in these circumstances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia is allowing us to create a visually engaging educational video for our students. You can upload your PPTs or documents and it will create an outline of the presentation for you which, for those who are not that creative, is beneficial because its starts that process so they do not have to. It has reduced voice-over PPT presentations from 1 hour in length to approximately 15 minutes, with the same amount of content being covered.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very intuitive, easy to use and, if you do encounter any issues, the chat function is extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Larger videos can take a bit of time to render.

It is mostly making our training videos look and sound a lot more professional.

It's been fun to use. It was easy to learn.

Since I'm communicating with a global community, I wish my Avatar could deliver the message verbally in many different languages. Subtitles don't do it for me.
