Synthesia makes me look more talented than I am!
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is extremely user-friendly. It is highly intuitive and they offer frequent courses, if you want to learn the proper ways to create videos, through Synthesia Academy (I highly recommend you join and use these resources). I have also used their AI assistance and it helped me figure out how to address an issue I was encountering without needing to wait for a human to respond, which was great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have encountered a few glitches. Some avatars do not sound very lifelike and even those who do, sometimes sound artificial. I wish it was easier to adjust the pronunciation, such as allowing me to orally record the word(s) being mispronounced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, I would only have been able to create simulations or boring PowerPoint presentations for the courses I create. Who wouldn't prefer to watch a video than read or be subjected to another boring PowerPoint training?
Invaluable Tool with Time-Saving Benefits
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Synthesia effectively saves me substantial time, especially in my role in a busy manufacturing company where finding a quiet space to record is a challenge. The ability to write a script, change voices, and tones is phenomenal. Setting it up was incredibly easy, just requiring me to log in and get started. Its ease of use allows me to handle tasks independently without needing additional team members, which is essential as I'm functioning alone in a role meant for three people.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia saves me a full day of work weekly by automating voiceovers for training programs, eliminating the need for recording space and reducing background noise. It simplifies my workload as a single-person department, thanks to its ease of use and flexibility. No multiple takes needed.

What do you like best about the product?
The quality of the avatars, the technical resolution, the resource libraries are really good
What do you dislike about the product?
1. length of videos-despite signing up for a paid subscription and having 120 minutes available- it was almost impossible to make a video longer than 10 minutes for a webinar despite having full script.
2. exporting file- it is impossible to download the video to embed in my website or linked in- they provide a link only and for example on linked in instead of being able to post the video- users have to click the link from inside the text- this requires 2 levels of engagement instead of teh desired single level video post
3. multi screen changes - it is not easy to make universal multi screen changes e.g to embed my logo on every screen as default action. I needed to manually drop the logo in and resize it
4. reads punctuation- when reading text it frequently read the punctuation eg saying bullet point or dot. this required frequent backwards and forwards to get a presentable video
5. inflexible options- the subscription model is flawed, You can only sign up for a 12 month subscription. I wanted to find a level of pay for service where I could allocate the number of video minutes bought to one or more webinars. the logic being if successful as anew marketing tool that I would then escalate my level of subscription to a higher level.

One of the best tools available... but not without flaws
What do you like best about the product?
Good customer service support, good quality personal avatars that actually look like me.
What do you dislike about the product?
As many latest-tech providers, they are focusing too much on gimmicks rather than improving the basic product. And there is a lot to improve! The pricing may also be prohibitive for some - I wish there was a way to just buy additional credits rather than wait a year for renewal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick updates of instructional videos using my avatars - I don't have to re-record everything. I can just change a line in a script and a few minutes later I have a updated video.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s been a straightforward tool that made it easy to put together the video I needed. The avatar voiceovers are clear and realistic, and the platform made the process quick and simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major — overall I’ve had a good experience. Some customisation options could be expanded, but for my needs it worked very well.

Some of the voices are a little odd. But there's lots to select from...

Easy and quick videos

The AI text to video process was super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cant view the AI talking portion before rendering. The biggest issue is the mouths don't always match up well with words and it's odd looking. Some avatars are better than others, but you can see them until you process a full video which takes a while.

Converting complicated concepts to video using the AI text to video process.

I did not enjoy Synthesia, and found the voice over and video quality completely absent.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using it for several hours I realized the product did not produce videos like they claimed; I asked for a refund but was denied because they offer no refunds according to their terms.

Needed high quality sales and explainer videos but this tool couldn't do it.

Synthesia - Great for personal branding
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that you can create your own avatar and then publish videos. once you have created your avatar it is very easy to use the existing templates to create a video in minutes. Or there is the option to create from scratch if you have more time and a creative flair. I had a minor technical issue and the chat support was very quick and helpful. It was very easy to set up and implement, easy to use and no time at all to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a personal user, some of the features are on a pricing bracket which I can't afford right now. I cannot wait to implement this in my next job.

It saves me time in creating personal branded videos. I am currently between jobs and I need to illustrate that not only do I embrace AI but also use tools to help pitch my message very quickly.
A Barrier Breaking Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is an easy to use, dynamic, and ever developing tool that assists our organization in championing our message across multiple platforms. We primarily use Synthesia for the development and distribution of training videos in a variety of languages. Additionally, the customer support team at Synthesia is highly responsive, eager to support, and easy to contact. We use Synthesia nearly every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a Religious organization we find the moderation policies a bit limiting. I would prefer if Synthesia provided greater access to "stock" product tools for religious instruction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia provides us a platform to training students in multiple languages using the same content. The ability to build a course in English but present it in multiple languages is a true gift for our organization.
