More useful than you'd think
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia let's me customize the accent to the video speaker, and experiment with formats, timing, inflection and new features
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that all the old avatars had all the wicked new features of the new avatars, like gesture and emotion tweaking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia is helping me increase engagement by having a virtual actor for my new videos.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of adding humanity to a PowerPoint presentation or e-learning. Important choice of avatar.
What do you dislike about the product?
a bit simple to format the slides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia videos are integrated into Articulate360 to transition written slides with the addition of an avatar.

Being able to select avatars of different nationalities has helped us reach a broader audience.

Some of the voices sound robotic, and not natural like the advertisement that enticed me to purchase Synthesia.

When I don't feel like getting on camera, I can still create a video for social media marketing.

The pronunciations change from voice to voice. Can be frustrating.

Time and Money Saver
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very good and easy to use. The ai voices save me so much time and help my product look very professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the voices don't sound nearly as real as others. Also the avatars are good, but still look a little unsettling when you watch them too long.

I can make professional sounding videos 10x faster and cheaper than before

What do you like best about the product?
The quality of the videos as just super. I like the emotion it can express and how natural it is.

Didn't allow me to add background videos, also I couldn't find a way to create portrait videos form my social media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves my time in creating video ads or video that explains app content to my users.
It's OK if you happen to live in Europe or US, otherwise support is lacking

The number of avatars and accents.
But to be honest, I don't like the fact you cannot alter a rendered video (no access to source file) so you cannot make changes and render again.

The fact that I had to wait three or more days for render of video because you all went on holiday and didn't give a shit about your customers. As long as you were having a rest, that's great. Your customers can sit and wait while you're busy partying.
I also cannot find the source file so if I want to make a change to a rendered video I have to start from scratch again. This is a serious weakness

Educational content with Artificial Intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is allowing me to conduct quality training courses, effective and with the latest technology in Artificial Intelligence. I also like the variety of languages it offers.
What do you dislike about the product?
They need to improve certain voices of the avatars, as sometimes they make pauses that make the avatar not real. Also, although I know they are working on it, improve the characters of the avatars to make them more realistic, if possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to create training videos in an intuitive and effective way. I had to create training content for companies and unions, and with this tool, it allows me to do it without having to record videos, saving time and money.

Wish I had a few more slides without having to pay for the business option

Offering a wide range of talent that I can't always get real people for.

The product automates well the combination of videos, images, voiceover, and a natural appearing avatar. Great for creating lots of short presentations of information.

There are some limitations based on the avatars and the plan chosen, but workarounds are usually available, including the phonetic pronunciation of unusual words.
