Synthesia makes making professional ads easy
What do you like best about the product?
Being camera shy and tired of the time it takes to produce videos, Synthesia is one of my most important tools. It makes fine-tuning dialogue with almost real human presenters easy. Its value increases the more I use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to stream pre-recorded videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives me a professional video product to show clients.

Maybe can import text and slides from PowerPoint and put this over the video avatar automatically

Can make video tutorials more accessible and cheaper. But faster than in the old way.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the user interface and ability to fine tune video prior to publishing is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the pronunciation is still a little cumbersome, but regular improvements from the developers has gone a long way to resolving these, and some tinkering with phonetic spelling and punctuation when writing a script allows for improved speech generally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost effective production and publishing of videos which we publish on our web pages. Easily amended and updated inhouse. Offers great value for money compared to outsourcing.

What do you like best about the product?
No actors, cameras, lighting, hair, make-up, filming. I wanted to promote my website, HedgyAnalytics.com, but I didn't have the camera presence needed to sell it. Synthesia solved that problem for me.

Limited capabilities of the avatar

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to promote my own AI.. I set out to promote via social media, which required a lot of work and I have no experience. Synthesia eliminates the need to learn the production steps.

I can generate amazing humanized videos starting from just a text

I guess there is a lot to improve in synching avatars' lips with narration. But the potencial is amazing!

I'm using synthesia to create real estate videos. It saves me lots of time on producing and editing videos

A great way to use synthesia is to explore the opportunities related to informative videos, which I guess is a trend that we are going to have in the digital space. It seems that in the near future, most corporate platforms, as well as social media, will shift from regular simple videos to videos that you can actually interact with, and Synthesia is doing a great job to be ahead in this race with its Artificial Inteligence focus
Helps produce informative videos quickly and cost effectively
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to combine screen recordings and talking heads to quickly make informative product training and demo videos. This is ideal for saas companies who need to reach a large audience with specific training quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is only a limited amount of "natural" voices currently, but hopefully this will increase over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saas training videos - particularly customising them for specific use cases.
Great tool. Amazing fidelity and realism on avatars and voiceover.

Ability to just pick an avatar, generate a script, pick a voice and generate a video. Also the ability to enter translated text in the same video and create a multi-lingual version very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding visuals and animation is similar to other video tools. To really add compelling visual content does take some time, patience and skill. I'd love to see more templates and eventually AI-generated visuals.

Creating "live action" talking-head style videos without shooting an actor or recording voiceover.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The samples available on the site are representative of what is possible using Synthesia. Be aware the tool generates the avatar and the voiceover using AI based on your selections, and synchs the mouth movements with the audio. It does not AI-generate the visual elements or onscreen text. Doing the visuals is straightforward, and if you've used other video or eLearning tools you'll pick it up very easily. If you are new to video creation, there will be some learning curve to create, animate and synchronize those elements.
Powerful product, love using it so far and can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

I'm really loving the ability to automatically reply to leads with a personalized video.
As long as you have a template video to go off of, you can use the Api to create new custom variations automatically- which is awesome.

Only thing missing are larger hand gestures like I would normally see when someone says hello at the beginning of a video but that's a very small detail.

Engaging leads in a more personalized fashion by replying with a personalized video automatically.

If you plan on using the api, zapier definitely made it easier

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia's intuitive platforms allows creating videos with an AI-created human being. I was impressed with the lip syncing and character animation capabilities. The new easy to use API will make creating content very convenient. I also appreciate that the team seems very responsive and eager for feedback.

Syntesia is a fairly young company, which means that some of the features I would like are in the development pipeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia has many applications especially in education and marketing. We are testing it for video surveys in emerging markets.
