Changing the way we see computers and virtual humans
What do you like best about the product?
The video creation tools vastly reduce the amount of time to create videos. This has allowed our group to build virtual human applications at a much faster pace. The voices used in this application are also superior to what you find with other text-to-voice applications in addition to providing visual components.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limits to what you can do with an upper-body view. Research shows that non-verbal hand gestures can be impactful to user perceptions but this is not something that can be controlled. In addition to this, facial features cannot be changed either. This means that your characters will often stay smiling which is often not appropriate for more serious applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our group is creating a chat-based interface using synthesis videos that help to train students in the medical field. We have found that collaborators and students are much more likely to accept these characters on first impression than the previous 3D virtual humans we used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Assure that your needs can be met with just an upper body.

The fact that I can't test the option to import an audio file and am forced to have a professional account for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The presentation of the different processes and software that takes place is an advantage for me to be able to show my work in different languages.

I'd tell them we need to test this app, it's worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the whole concept of more video content in general. I've found that each video can be personalized for our clients. We are not a normal recruiting agency and we are first movers in how we recruit in advisory boards. Synthesia fits our first mover mentality and the feedback from our clients to receive personalized videos containing useful information has been overwhelming. Definitely the right way to go!
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor pronunciation errors with company names, but I found instructions on how to rewrite part of the text, which solved my problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is a huge potential on how you can produce all these videos in no time. We started using Synthesia to create personalized videos, which was more of an added gesture for our clients, but once we started creating the videos, we saw the potential to create a lot more content for our website, YouTube, and onboarding videos for new employees in the future.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can actually create videos in the browser is impressive. I've been using Synthesia for a while now and their services are extremely professional. I use it for internal learning videos and I'm still amazed at how easy it is to create a video.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some words had to be rewritten to get the correct pronunciation. However, I only experienced it with one company name and was able to fix it with some rewriting.

The benefits I discovered are that you can create videos without all the hassle which was previously typical with video creation. Videos enabled by Synthesia are more engaging and
converting text into videos is now easy to accomplish. It's really perfect for my business when creating content for e-learning.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to quickly and beautifully create videos as if I'm building a powerpoint to tell my story. The ability to easily change languages and speak in different native voices with the push of one button is mindblowing! You can connect with anyone anywhere in the world and simply use text to produce high-quality videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - but I can't wait for more options and the advancement and evolution of the product to continue to change the way I can create videos with a few clicks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Changing the way I traditionally produce videos and pitch clients - using avatars as my talent and AI voiceover on complex animated videos vs. a traditional sound recording.

Synthesia is an excellent resource for our video content generation
What do you like best about the product?
At Cord, we're using Synthesia to create product demo videos that add the more interactive AI avatar element, which has shown to improve our engagement metrics quite dramatically. We're particularly impressed by the ease of use of their platform and the wealth of different AI actors we can use to diversify our videos. We've recently started using Synthesia's API to generate mass-personalized videos displayed to our customers upon login, which have developed a lot of excitement and buzz around our product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more niche languages (e.g. Danish) vs. avatar facial expressions and lip movements still got some way to go, but we've been really impressed by the speed at which the product is improving.

Synthesia is helping us speed up our video content generation and make our product experience more personalized, leading to massively increased engagement -- even for boring content.

What do you like best about the product?
The most obvious Sythesia and "wow-element" feature is the ability to use human characters and produce videos with custom text in different languages, exported in a matter of minutes (even adding your own custom video is a possibility).
On top of that, Sythesia also offers a powerful video editing software to use videos for different scenarios.

The most common thing that comes to mind is the quality of the personalised videos, as some languages are not working as great, but with the tech improving, this will become much smoother with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are various use cases that come to mind, but using personalized video at scale for internal communication or externally (as we have used it) without too many resources, money, and time spent, is a game-changer.
