Great tool. Amazing fidelity and realism on avatars and voiceover.
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to just pick an avatar, generate a script, pick a voice and generate a video. Also the ability to enter translated text in the same video and create a multi-lingual version very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding visuals and animation is similar to other video tools. To really add compelling visual content does take some time, patience and skill. I'd love to see more templates and eventually AI-generated visuals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating "live action" talking-head style videos without shooting an actor or recording voiceover.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The samples available on the site are representative of what is possible using Synthesia. Be aware the tool generates the avatar and the voiceover using AI based on your selections, and synchs the mouth movements with the audio. It does not AI-generate the visual elements or onscreen text. Doing the visuals is straightforward, and if you've used other video or eLearning tools you'll pick it up very easily. If you are new to video creation, there will be some learning curve to create, animate and synchronize those elements.
Powerful product, love using it so far and can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
What do you like best about the product?
I'm really loving the ability to automatically reply to leads with a personalized video.
As long as you have a template video to go off of, you can use the Api to create new custom variations automatically- which is awesome.

What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing missing are larger hand gestures like I would normally see when someone says hello at the beginning of a video but that's a very small detail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Engaging leads in a more personalized fashion by replying with a personalized video automatically.

If you plan on using the api, zapier definitely made it easier

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia's intuitive platforms allows creating videos with an AI-created human being. I was impressed with the lip syncing and character animation capabilities. The new easy to use API will make creating content very convenient. I also appreciate that the team seems very responsive and eager for feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Syntesia is a fairly young company, which means that some of the features I would like are in the development pipeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia has many applications especially in education and marketing. We are testing it for video surveys in emerging markets.

The way how they charge. I would propose low-res video creations as tests, then pay for rendering the high-quality video that is chosen. Also, pay-per-use instead of a monthly subscription would be great.

Creating representative materials that would require otherwise filming me, and is time-consuming.

Use it. It's good, cheap according to the quality of the videos generated.

Creating a more natural speech should be possible but does not give the best results with all avatars.

Pricing will come down with volume, aimed at businesses rather than the small user at the moment. But great platform to test out concepts and then turn into revenue generating.

What do you like best about the product?
If you're time-poor or resource-limited Synthesia is a great product rather than hiring talent. My CEO is super impressed each time I create a video using Synthesia.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see an improved Australian accent and a larger range of people for Avatars. More control of pace of speaking would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using Synthesia we are finding another way to communicate our proposition in a timely and cost-effective manner. We will be testing out Synthesia for video responses to our AI chatbox in the future.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can create personalized videos in no time still blows my mind. I'm still amazed that this is possible. I've been using Synthesia for a while now and it's really cool to see how much they keep improving and expanding the platform. So, aside from the product, the team behind it is also just killing it!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, really. If I should comment on anything, it's the pronunciation of my last name, which wasn't right to begin with. But you can change that to make it right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We create training videos for our employees, including onboarding videos and how-to videos for our internal software programs. We've created a lot of different videos now, and my biggest takeaway was that it is possible to create personalized videos on a large scale without being really expensive and time-consuming. Just amazing!

What do you like best about the product?
Syntesia's interface and functions are just perfect for creating short educational videos. I like that we can upload our slides, select a voice and avatars. The interface is intuitive and the quality of the videos is really great. I also appreciate the possibility to select different languages, as we work in Asia, we need to have more than just English.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish to have a better choice of ethnically diverse avatars and a possibility to have more intonations for foreign languages. Similar to the choice offered for English.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an educational institution, we need to produce educational materials in 2 languages. Synesthesia has the possibility to create consistent content by adding the text in those languages and have instructional video tutorials ready very fast. It saves us time and money not compromising on the quality.
