Professional Results Without the Production Team

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Synthesia is to use. It’s intuitive from start to finish. The library of stock photos and videos saves so much time, and the customization options for fonts, colors, animations, and background music make each video feel professional and on-brand. The avatars are especially impressive. They’re realistic, diverse, and engaging. Honestly, the videos I create in Synthesia look like something from a professional production team, but I’m able to do it all myself in a fraction of the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the avatars are impressive overall, their speech and movement could be a bit smoother. That said, they’re still among the best I’ve seen, especially at the price point. Occasionally, it takes a little longer than I’d like for slides to preview, but the delay is minimal. I also find that the auto-generated videos don’t always include the level of detail or nuance I need, so I typically create my own content using the tools provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia allows me to create professional-quality videos for my e-learning courses without needing a production team or advanced video editing skills. It saves time, reduces costs, and helps me deliver engaging, high-quality content that looks polished and professional.

Great product, it does need a little bit of tweaking though

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
it is VERY intuitive to work around it. The creation of the videos is quite simple and easy to go: add, add, add and boom! it is done! It does integrate easily wherever you need or want to use it. I love that you can leave them pending and go back to working with them exactly in the same spot.
Customer support is great too! The bot has a wide knowledge base and human support is superb! to the point of feeling a little bit spammy, but I DO prefer a customer support that checks in constantly rather than one that you barely notice it
I find this very important when you are moving your videos across platforms and social media.
I used it constantly to make sure I got every single drop of juice of an already great product.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, it does lack variety. the backgrounds should have a wider variety and even the models. it is very stiff and standard when it comes to creating videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating content that invites interaction and that allows you to also keep yourself anonymous is what I was looking for

  • October 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Using Synthesia has made creating tutorial videos incredibly easy for our online platform. What used to take hours of filming, editing, and voiceover work can now be done in a fraction of the time. The interface is simple to use, and the AI avatars and voices look and sound professional. It’s been a huge time-saver for producing consistent, high-quality tutorials without needing a full video production setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue I have, is the way the ai voice sometimes speeds up or changes the accent on personal Ai avatars, I need to update the sentence structure for it reinvoke the accent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves a great deal of time to create easy to understand tutorials, I was able to create an Avatar, write a script and create multiple videos in a short amount of time.

Synthesia: Where My Words Found Their Voice

  • October 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I didn’t expect to be impressed. But I was.
At first glance, Synthesia looked like another AI tool promising polished videos. What I found was something more—something that spoke to my strategic communicator’s soul.
Clarity. Precision. Control.
The interface? Clean. The workflow? Intuitive. I could script a message, choose a persona, and watch it come alive—without the usual production chaos. No lighting setups. No retakes. Just clarity, distilled.
Then came the rhythm.
I experimented with tone—serious, warm, witty. Synthesia didn’t flinch. It adapted. My mentorship scripts? Delivered with empathy. My advocacy pieces? Firm, but never cold. It was like handing my voice to a trusted partner who knew when to lean in, when to pause, when to punch.
And the avatars? Surprisingly human.
Not uncanny. Not robotic. Just enough realism to engage without distracting. I found myself watching my own scripts with fresh eyes, hearing them with fresh ears.
What I liked most?
The power to test tone.
To revise.
To iterate.
To speak without speaking.
It gave me room to play. To refine. To empower others with messages that felt alive.
So yes—Synthesia earned its place in my toolkit.
Not just as a video generator.
But as a collaborator in clarity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Synthesia: The Gaps Between the Magic
I liked a lot. But I didn’t love everything.
Let’s start with the avatars.
They’re good—sometimes great. But not quite me.
There’s a stiffness in the delivery, a subtle lag in emotional nuance. When I’m mentoring or advocating, I need warmth that breathes, conviction that lands. Synthesia gets close… but not close enough.
Customization? Limited.
I wanted to tweak gestures, adjust pacing, maybe even modulate facial expressions. Instead, I got presets. Useful, yes. But not empowering.
It felt like painting with a fixed palette when I needed full-spectrum control.
Then there’s the voice.
It’s clear. It’s consistent.
But it’s not dynamic.
When I write scripts with punchlines, pivots, or pauses for impact, the delivery sometimes flattens. Humor loses its edge. Empathy loses its curve.
I found myself rewriting—not to improve the message, but to accommodate the tool.
And the cost?
Let’s just say: it’s not built for the scrappy advocate or the solo mentor.
Scaling content means scaling budget.
That’s a barrier—for those of us trying to empower others without a production team.
Finally, the feedback loop.
I wanted more insight.
Which tone worked best? Which avatar resonated?
Synthesia doesn’t tell me. It delivers, but it doesn’t listen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem 1: High-Barrier Video Production
Traditional video creation demands time, equipment, and technical skill. For mentors, advocates, and speakers, that’s a bottleneck.
Benefit to You:
Synthesia removes the gatekeepers. You can turn a script into a polished video in minutes—no camera, no crew. That means faster delivery of your message, whether it’s a mentoring module, a legal explainer, or a motivational segment.

Problem 2: Inconsistent Tone and Delivery
When delegating video production or relying on live presentations, tone can drift. Nuance gets lost. Impact suffers.
Benefit to You:
Synthesia lets you test tone, iterate delivery, and lock in the emotional cadence you want. Whether you're scripting for empathy, authority, or humor, you control the rhythm. That’s gold for someone who adapts storytelling to audience needs.

Problem 3: Scaling Personalized Communication
You mentor diverse audiences. You advocate across contexts. Repeating the same message live? Inefficient.
Benefit to You:
Synthesia lets you scale without dilution. You can create tailored videos for veterans, young professionals, or legal audiences—each with its own avatar, tone, and pacing. Your message stays sharp, even as your reach expands.

Problem 4: Limited Feedback Loops in Static Media
Written documents don’t show tone. Audio lacks visual engagement. Live talks aren’t easily revisited.
Benefit to You:
Synthesia bridges that gap. Your mentees can replay your message, absorb your tone, and reflect on your delivery. It turns passive content into active mentorship.

A Game Changer for Scalable AI Video Creation (With a Few Caveats)

  • October 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia really shines if you need to make a lot of professional-looking videos without the hassle of filming. The platform is super easy to use: you just type in your script, pick an avatar, and you’ve got a polished video in minutes. It’s a huge time saver, and compared to hiring actors, cameras, and editors, it can cut costs dramatically. I also like how it supports so many languages and accents, which makes it simple to create content for global audiences. For corporate training, onboarding, and explainer videos, it feels almost tailor-made.
What do you dislike about the product?
That said, there are some trade-offs. While the avatars look realistic, their movements and expressions can feel a little stiff or robotic, especially if you’re aiming for a natural or emotional delivery. The style of the videos can start to feel “same-y” if you rely too much on the defaults without layering in your own branding or creative touches. And while it’s great for scaling content, it’s not exactly cheap: the subscription price might feel high if you’re a solo creator or a smaller business. It also isn’t the right tool if you’re trying to tell stories with nuance or personality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia solves the biggest headache of video creation: the time, cost, and resources it normally takes to produce polished content. Instead of coordinating a studio setup, hiring talent, or spending hours editing, I can turn a script into a professional-looking video in minutes. That speed is a game-changer — especially when I need to produce multiple training modules, explainers, or internal communications without bottlenecks. It also helps with consistency. Every video has the same look, feel, and branding, which keeps content polished across teams. And because it supports so many languages, I can scale content globally without needing separate voice actors or translations.

Interesting tool: a game changer in content production

  • October 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The customized avatars are impressively realistic, particularly when created with high-quality source materials. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well the AI tools generate effective scripts from simple prompts. Additionally, I really appreciated the speed at which videos are produced and how straightforward it is to implement and share them on corporate platforms. Finally, I was able to create my first video just minutes after signing up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback for me is that I can't adjust individual avatar actions; instead, I have to regenerate the whole video each time hoping for the best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small company, we used to spend about a week producing 15 to 20 minutes of video content. Now, I can create the same videos in just a matter of minutes. This has truly transformed my projects, all of which rely on video training within the company.

E-Learning Revolution with One Major Flaw

  • October 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Synthesia speeds up the video production process for e-learning, making it more efficient and enriching for our students. I also enjoy the variety of avatars and different voices, and the automatic text feature is incredibly useful. Additionally, the ease of use and reasonable pricing perfectly meet our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it frustrating that there is an overzealous content filter in Synthesia that blocks videos which contain certain terms like '******'. This is problematic because we conduct training on specific topics such as harassment, and not being able to use necessary terminology makes it challenging to create effective training content. It's crucial for us to be able to use such words to address these important issues adequately. This restrictive filtering needs to be addressed promptly to improve our ability to develop comprehensive training materials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Synthesia speeds up video production for elearning, enhancing the learning experience for students. It provides high-quality video content, vital for richer educational materials. However, the overly strict content filter hampers creating essential training videos on sensitive topics.
