Excellent platform for professional, scalable training content
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Synthesia is incredibly easy to use, even for non-technical users. Creating video content is intuitive and takes just minutes instead of days. The ability to generate content in multiple languages is a huge advantage, especially for conducting training videos across different territories. I appreciate being able to produce professional-looking videos on demand without the usual filming challenges. It saves us substantial time while improving the quality and uniformity of our communications. The setup of Synthesia was super simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the avatars don't look fully natural, and mouth movements can be slightly off. Voices sometimes sound a little bit robotic, but this is improving as further updates are released.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia simplifies video creation, eliminating the need for cameras and actors. It's efficient, offering avatars for varied styles, and saves time while maintaining quality and consistency.
Time-Saving AI Avatar with Easy Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Synthesia to create video introductions for my startup. The personal AI avatar is a major advantage, as it prevents the need to reshoot videos every time there's a change in the script or slide content. This feature solves a big problem for me and saves a lot of time. Setting up Synthesia was very easy, and I would rate my likelihood of recommending it a 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the design limited, with only a few shapes and options, and the overall aesthetic could be better. I also tried to split my video and combine two halves into one, but only one video can be uploaded to one slide. Additionally, I wanted to cut one video into halves to make the second half more zoomed in with a specific crop different from the first one, but this isn't available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia saves me a lot of time by eliminating the need to reshoot videos for every update in my startup's video introductions. The personal AI avatar is a big advantage, allowing for easy adaptation to script changes without extra effort.
Efficient Video Creation with Easy Updates
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Synthesia is user-friendly and sustainable. It allows us to produce videos at scale, and we can update them as processes change without having to reproduce the entire training. The initial setup was quick and painless, which was great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our organization did not respond well to the avatars. They prefer just the voice content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to produce videos at scale. We are then able to share the links within our Knowledge Center in alignment to process documentation or utilize Scorm Files within our LMS.
Easy to Use with Great Templates, but Voice Intonation Still Needs Work
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, many templates, pretty good audio/voice quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
The voice quality, the intonation is wrong many times, it never comes to the same quality as the real voice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making instruction videos with great speed and not much knowledge of video editing.
Engaging Video Creation with Lifelike Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how lifelike the personal avatars look in Synthesia. They help make our tutorial videos engaging without distracting the audience, giving our content real value. The ease of use is another great aspect. I find the script editor simple and very straightforward, making it easy to start projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I currently have no control over the movement of the avatars, and that is a bit of a struggle as their hand gestures can be very random at times. Audio sometimes gives mixed results as well, seeming to lack consistent performance. The voice can shift or distort, but that is easily fixable now that there is a regenerate function within each scene.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia for bulk video production quickly, creating engaging tutorials with lifelike avatars. It's simple, making it valuable for producing videos that engage without distracting the audience.
Fast Video Creation, Needs Pricing Tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
I like using personal avatars in Synthesia because they give a personal touch to our videos and make them feel more realistic. The AI assistance speeds up our video creation workflow significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price for the enterprise is way too high. The limitation on the creator is too low. There needs to be something a little in the middle. Because of this we may be choosing another company because we are not quite to the point of needing a lot more than the monthly allotment, but the jump in price is too high for our budget constraints. Perhaps allow us to purchase more credits. It was relatively easy to get going. Just wasn't totally intuitive to begin with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create videos using our team avatars, making videos quickly with AI. The personal avatars give our videos a more personal touch, and AI video generation speeds up our workflow.
Realistic Avatars, Easy to Use, Needs Voice Precision
What do you like best about the product?
I use Synthesia for videos on product education, best practices, and introductions to new executives responsible for our business relationship. I like the realism, choice, and style of the avatars in Synthesia. These features allow us to create custom videos for an audience of one with little effort. Synthesia is very easy to set up and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the voice inflection control. It's more art than science right now. In a 4-minute video, there can be 1-5 pronunciations that break the suspension of belief that the avatar is a human. Even using some punctuation helps, but then it shows up in CC, which is not desirable. It needs more work here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia for succinct, short form communications that are easily consumed, and to create custom videos with realistic avatars with little effort.
Easy Way to Create Orientation Videos That Look and Sound Like Me
What do you like best about the product?
I like begin able to create an orientation video for my student to watch that looks and sounds like me.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has taken awhile to get things set up and started. It was an issue with our schools firewall. So nothing on your part, but it was still a headache to get everything up and going.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I am out of the office, it is nice to still be able to hold orientations and get all the information to our new students.
Easy Voiceovers That Expand Learning Modalities for More Learners
What do you like best about the product?
The voice overs and the ease of which we can add another layer of modality for our learners. Utilizing just text and basic video does not solve for all learner types. By having a quick and easy way to add VO, our end product is that much better and more importantly solves for a larger audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The avatars feel too close to real without being real enough. The consistent feedback I get is that they come across as “creepy,” and the mouth movements don’t always match up well. That said, it does seem to be improving with each iteration.
Using this for Japanese, which is one of our primary needs, has been very difficult at best and requires a significant amount of rework. Beyond those issues, the other major challenge is cost. It seems to increase much faster than the ROI. We would definitely use more of what you offer, but for a company our size, and with a limited budget for our department, we can’t leverage the full product.
Right now I’m on a single-user version and end up doing all of the content creation that requires synthesia. This slows us down a lot and doesn’t allow the rest of the team to be fully utilized in content creation.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps eliminate the need for outsourcing costly live VO talent and It helps to solve for a larger audience of learner types. For our base language it is a very easy way to add value to our content and offerings.
Creates Professional Videos with Ease, Needs UI Tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Synthesia for enterprise-grade learning enablement and digital content syndication. I love the idea of creating interactive, personalized, and polished videos quickly, including producing the content, visuals, and audio. I value the pronunciation tool the most because it makes tweaking corporate acronyms quick and painless, and the avatar doesn't mind doing another take. My experiences with customer support have been amazing. I also gave it a score of 10 when asked how likely I'd recommend it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love to see the trim feature be a bit more precise, and the AI-generated footage to be higher quality resolution. The AI-generated footage is pixelated and tough to make large without losing quality. The trim feature works but feels clunky and I'm not confident I'm going to make the cut at just the right mark. Annoying because I was originally in an enterprise account and was stuck under the wrong team and couldn't share as I needed to at the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia solves the problem of getting my speech recordings exactly right, allowing quick tweaks without hassle, and ensures I always have a great hair day.
