Great tool for training videos
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is super easy to use and work with. We use it to produce training videos. The AI-generated videos are great and can save a lot of time. We also enjoy the personal avatars a lot. The support team does a great job and reacts within minutes after contacting them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Synthesia really is a great tool, but the costs for an account are hard to afford for small and medium-sized companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia saves a lot of time, because it is easy to use and the AI-Features are able to create a video out of documents like word or pdf.
Great application for creating avatar videos using AI
What do you like best about the product?
They have many different avartars that you can use in the videos. You can apply AI to generate a suggestion for a video, which you can then edit and perfect. Very easy to use even for people that are not used to making videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Should be possible to zoom when doing final editing of video.

Ease of use and ability to use avartars.

What do you like best about the product?
We have used Synthesia for recording slide decks using a personal avatar. Being able to edit by text, having access to easy to use animations and transitions all in one easy dashboard has been a gamechanger. I'm surprised at the small learning curve, and very impressed by the quality of the personal avatar. I know that's not really me on screen speaking those words into a microphone, but it sure sounds and looks like me. No one that I've shown the video to has asked me if it's AI generated - that's how accurate it appears.
For anyone that understands how silly the English language can be sometimes, it was remarkably easy to edit the few words where some guidance is needed as to correct pronunciation. We also use a lot of government acronyms in our particular work, so being able to edit how something is pronounced is a big deal for us.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although my first slide deck/video was just under 20 minutes, I had 50 slides and many animations/transitions, in addition to my personal avatar speaking throughout the presentation. It took a while for the recording to fully render.
Occassionally right when an animation occurs on screen, there is a slight delay in my cadence when talking. When there are no animations, its been flawless.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We previously used a variety of different tools to try and achieve the same objectives (as to video, text to speech, editing, animations, etc.) and none of those tools had the avatar feature. Being able to have access to everything we need in one single easy to understand interface has saved us a lot of time and money, it makes our content more uniform and consistent across social media/emails, and we look much more sophisticated with polished content.

Synthesian lets me create personalised content to get our message across in multiple languages to meet all of our business needs.

Providing information to multiple locations and taking existing content and transforming to Synthesia video platform. Ease of use and dynamic presentations that keep the user engaged.

What do you like best about the product?
What I love most is the endless possibilities...we've used Synesthia for internal comms and social media advertising. I also really appreciate the auto-generation of scripts. I've uploaded files and was blown away by the quality of scripts this tool created. Not only can it create scripts, it'll also help you create visuals like background text. It's so easy. The avatars look pretty realistic, or realistic enough that you wouldn't be embarrassed to use this for your product. I also received customer support from them today and was able to connect to a live agent, which is always helpful. I'm so glad I found this tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
They have a nice library of Getty photos and video footage. It takes some trial and error to get the video footage sized to the dimensions of your video. I usually have to stretch the video out, but luckily, the end product is not grainy or pixelated at all. I wish they offered more "landscape" video as most are in portrait orientation. Again, this didn't stop me from creating high-quality, professional videos.

The platform is extremely user-friendly and efficient, making it easy to deliver consistent, multilingual videos on a regular basis. It’s now an essential tool in our content workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, scripts are rejected after generation due to moderation issues, which can cause delays. Clearer pre-validation tools or more upfront guidance would help avoid rework and streamline the approval process. It would also be helpful if user-submitted avatars had more control over expressions and tone in future updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia solves several key challenges in video production—namely, the high cost, long turnaround times, and logistical complexity of creating professional video content. By removing the need for filming equipment, actors, and post-production, it allows us to produce high-quality videos in a fraction of the time and cost. This has been especially beneficial for delivering content at scale, localizing videos in multiple languages, and keeping up with fast-moving marketing timelines. It’s also helped us provide more personalized content for clients without the usual production bottlenecks.
Easy to Use / Excellent Support
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many avatars from which to choose, so I never have a problem finding just the personality I need for my scenarios. It was so easy to get started; even as a beginner, I was able to create engaging videos.

Sometime an avatar can be a little glitchy.

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love using Synthesia! My company recently transitioned from another AI tool, and the switch was incredibly smooth. It took me less than an hour to get everything up and running. The templates provided a great starting point, making the process even easier. Within just one week, I was able to create over 20 videos, ranging from full tutorials with screenshots to concise 2-minute explainer videos.

I don't dislike anything, but I would love to see more templates.
