I compared different platforms for generating avatars and Synhtesia appealed to me the most.
What do you like best about the product?
Firstly, it has an accessible and easy to use API for software development. Secondly, the avatars are as natural as possible, their speech is pleasant to listen to and there is no hint of artificiality. Third, the technical support works great and solves issues even on weekends. Most of my questions were answered by the technical support bot, which answered my questions about how to do this or that feature. But when the questions went beyond the scope of the documentation, a person quickly connected with me and solved all the problems, consulting with the development team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a pity that I can't buy extra minutes for video generation beyond my plan.

Generation of video presentations with avatars based on templates

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Camtasia since 2006 and countless other video creation software, from Animoto to VideoScribe to Pictory. I've set them all on the shelf in favor of Synthesia. It has all the elements I need and their customer support is second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is keeping up with all the monthly added features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating with avatars that show emotion and have impeccable lip sync.
Waste of Energy
What do you like best about the product?
I didn't. I was very put off by the 12 hour time frame it took to generate a 10 second video.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pretty much all of it. I'm sure someone somewhere will benefit from this...but that person is not me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is not. Cancelled membership right away and was denied a refund.
Synthesia makes me more productive and allows me to refine & scale my messaging
What do you like best about the product?
1. Ability to load up a script. I get ChatGPT to generate the script, then I refine it.
2. Abilty to make a selfie avatar. This reduces the "uncanny valley" impact for viewers because they can see an actual company employee and make the human connection better
3. Tech support is very responsive and good
4. I can load in brand elements and backgrounds

What do you dislike about the product?
1. The selfie avatar seems to have a random background. I can't use an isolated selfie avatar in the same way I can use the other built-in avatars. I am sure that will be possible at some point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing me to create vidoes without all the overhead of video production, retakes to get the tone right, etc.
Simple - Self-explanatory - Exciting - Very Innovative

To be able to create your own avatar or multiple ones - yourself as a person!
What do you dislike about the product?
Restrictions on content creation regarding various topics and that this is only possible with one's own avatar

Not the possibility to constantly create high-quality short teaser videos with effort and time - here is Synthesia a great support!

What do you like best about the product?
The interactive videos, the ability to edit your videos. Being able to upload photos, pdfs and turn into avatars and videos is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the trial was a little longer and gave you access to all of the functions.

The ability to make training videos for my customer Care agents.

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is not difficult to use. The canned avatars are diverse and offer all experiences we want for our business. Easy to input info, and generally speaking, find limited issues having to change words and cadence for speaking.

The AI is still not perfectly syncing, so some situations where words are being heard, but the avatar mouth is not moving in time.

More avatars, more backgrounds, more ways to show the video content created.
Easily Create Videos in Minutes that Would Otherwise Take Hours
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the creation tools are easy to pick up, so those with not much video editing experience, or those that have years of video experience, all are able to use the software with extreme ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to edit the clips that you upload instead of it being more of a guessing game as to when the clips will be cut off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it is solving the problem of saving time that it takes editing a regular video, and cuts in half with the AI software.
