Evolved into a Powerful, Polished Video Creator with Realistic AI Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Synthesia is how much the platform has evolved over time. When I first used it after launch, it mainly offered AI avatars that spoke based on given commands, which itself was impressive at that stage of AI. However, with recent updates, Synthesia has significantly enhanced its video editor, making the entire video creation process more powerful, flexible, and polished. The combination of realistic avatars and a strong built-in editor truly elevates the overall experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Synthesia is its current pricing. In today’s AI marketplace, many tools are offering powerful features at lower costs or even for free during their early stages, making it easier for small creators to experiment and grow. Compared to that, Synthesia’s pricing feels quite high. I believe offering more affordable or flexible starter plans in the beginning would help smaller creators access the platform, generate content, and gradually scale as they grow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I first tried Synthesia around its launch, AI video creation was still very new. At the time, it mainly offered AI avatars that could speak from simple text prompts, which already solved a big pain point for me: not needing cameras, presenters, or voice artists. With the more recent updates, Synthesia has grown into a much more capable platform, especially thanks to its strong built-in video editor. For me, that addresses an even bigger challenge creating professional-looking videos quickly without having to rely on multiple tools or deal with complicated workflows. Today, Synthesia feels like one of the leading AI video creation tools because it brings avatars, scripting, and editing together in one place. Overall, it saves a lot of time, helps reduce production costs, and makes video creation more accessible even for freelancers and small creators. And with AI videos becoming more popular and viral heading into 2026, Synthesia seems like a solid opportunity for creators to produce quality content and potentially earn from it more efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Synthesia is very easy to use and fast, which makes the work simple and efficient. Additionally, they are constantly improving the product. Something that used to take me weeks now I complete in a single day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe be able to make longer videos with AI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create online courses. I can create videos much faster and at a cost that is only a fraction of what it would cost to record them. What used to take me weeks, I now achieve in a day.

What I like most about Synthesia is the video creation and editing workflow. The tool is very intuitive and structured similarly to other video-cutting tools, so it is easy to get started without a long learning curve. The ease of implementation is a big advantage, as the tool can be used immediately without complex setup or technical overhead.
Synthesia is also well suited for frequent use, as videos can be created and adjusted quickly, even for recurring content. In addition, the ease of integration into existing digital workflows makes it practical for day-to-day work. Overall, it saves a lot of time compared to traditional video production and fits well into existing digital workflows. The customer support was great and responds very quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases, the AI avatars still look slightly unnatural, especially in facial expressions and movements. This can reduce realism, depending on the chosen character. Additionally, the pronunciation particularly in German could be improved, as it sometimes sounds wrong or inconsistent. These points do not break the tool, but they do limit its professional use in certain scenarios.

Synthesia helps reduce the effort and time needed to create videos. It allows me to create videos quickly without complex setups or technical knowledge. This makes it easier to produce content regularly and use videos efficiently in daily work.

Intuitive Platform with Lifelike Avatar Creation
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Synthesia offers a limited free trial which allowed me to create and edit a five-minute video multiple times. The system is intuitive and produces the best seven-minute and smaller lifelike avatar videos. I also appreciate that it's an industry-leading platform with ongoing features development, including creating custom avatars that look like you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hopefully they will continue to fine tune the body movements and consistency of vocal presentation of the avatars. These are not 100% yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to efficiently create and edit lifelike avatar videos from text, enhancing my online course development. It's intuitive, and no other platform matches its quality for shorter videos.
Outstanding Audio Quality and Avatars, Incredibly Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
The audio quality and avatars are some of the best I've seen. The tool is easy to use, especially if kept simple. Meaning, I would recommend not to over complicate the message by adding too many animations and fancy effects. Also, the text to speech is very good. When presenting L&D and How-to videos, it's important to include a little excitement in the audio. To do that with other tools is very hard and time consuming to find just the right voice. Because this is exactly what Synthesia is designed for, all the voices do a really good job at this.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm used to using Premiere Pro as my video editor. For good reason, Synthesia is simpler, but sometimes that also becomes limiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
by having a script and AI reading it, I can easily make edits when the time comes. The radically speeds up remaking any videos when software is updated.
Effortless to Use with Impressive Updates
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy the platform is to use, as well as the regular updates that are clearly influenced by user feedback. The interface is intuitive, making it a user-friendly experience overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still would like more interaction features, and more in depth reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is saving time creating compliance videos. It is easy to edit the text once it has been published. I would love more in depth reporting, such as who has watched the video. I would also like more interactive features such as matching, fill in the blank, other ways to gauge understanding beyond multiple choice questions.
Effortless Video Content Creation with Text-to-Speech
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Synthesia's Text to Speech feature, especially being able to play with the pronunciation. This feature quite simply makes it so we don't have to do any of the voice overs, which is a hard thing to do. The videos are also in Dutch, and while the AI understandably doesn't always get pronunciations right, the ability to edit pronunciation helps with this problem. I find this immensely useful when creating tutorials and feature highlight videos. Additionally, the initial setup of Synthesia was very easy, which is a big plus for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I definitely find the lack of ability to highlight stuff or create shapes using operators a problem. Highlighting big objects by graying out all other objects on the screen is quite cumbersome. Being able to create custom shapes, like subtracting a small square out of a big gray square, would be immensely helpful. Also, I'd like to see improvements in making edits to videos while zoomed in on an image.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to eliminate the need for manual voice-overs and easily create tutorials. It simplifies video updates with new releases and the text-to-speech feature helps adjust pronunciation, especially for Dutch videos.

Very easy to use AI to help generate a script and also manage the script timing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the lip syncing looked a little bit fake and so did some of the characters. My client actually remarked on that and decided to go another direction because it did not look as realistic as he would like.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the script to video tool in Synthesia because it's an easy way to adjust things if they're not correct. The initial setup was also very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the script to video tool is not very responsive and just uses templates instead of creating motion graphics for itself with AI or something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia solves slow motion graphic editing and offers an easy way to adjust things if not correct. I appreciate its script to video tool.
