Quick and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
You can create a video really quickly and the AI script generator is brilliant

I sometimes struggle to have the avatar to pronounce words as an english speaker rather than american i.e. status

What do you dislike about the product?
Misleading documentation that is deceptive. Features that are available only in the Enterprise plan are not marked in any way in the API description, and you can only access the API by paying for a subscription.
As a result, we lost $90 just to find out, quite randomly, that the feature important to us is not available in the API at all, and there’s no indication of this anywhere. They refused to issue a refund, even though we only generated 2 small videos in our course with our plan, and considering the response time, reaction speed, and how we had to beg for a call to discuss things under the Enterprise plan, this company is a bureaucratic nightmare. There are much better solutions on the market, no worse in quality, but with far superior service.

What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia makes creating realistic 'talking head' videos a breeze. The voices are mostly realistic. And, you can create AI versions of yourself!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a dislike, per se, but I wish the application were more advanced. I understand they are just getting started and have a lot on their roadmap. I'm looking forward to seeing what they add.

It is solving so many problems and providing many benefits. It saves me time and also increases the quality of my output because I have more time to make improvements. It's also much easier then trying to get time with SMEs to record for me.
Great system to create professional videos - Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The system is very easy to use, you can create professional videos in a few minutes. The new possibility to create our own Avatar is brilliant. The support team is very efficient when we need them.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to see the Avatar moving during the preview (perhaps adding a watermark instead ?)

Synthesia is very easy to use and allows you to create high-quality videos in record time.
What do you like best about the product?
Synthesia is very easy to use. It's like making a PowerPoint, but at the end you have an impressive video, very dynamic thanks to the avatars. It's perfect for creating demonstration videos, e-learning or even on-boarding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "team" work features should be included in the basic licenses (and not in the enterprise license which is much too expensive). At least, be able to temporarily have an external editor on a video (and not just comment, but edit).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The goal of videos is to avoid repeating myself several times. So I make a video (it's very quick) and then I can broadcast it. In addition, it is easy to evolve the videos without having to start all over again. So I save a lot of time.

What do you like best about the product?
It's user friendly interface allows the L&D teams to create powerful, engaging and easy-to-consume learning solutions for learners. It can reduce development time up to 70% with respect to other video creation tools. It has helped us greatly in reducing our training time, and our time to market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its translation features have room to improve. I consider there could be more review features attached. For example, it would be great to have a review link that after accepting a change, reflects automatically in the script and in the text on the slides. This could be extremely helpful to reduce time to market even more.

Best app to generate AI videos
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of video creation, the AI video assistant makes everything super simple, and the large number of avatars.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like them to have more types of Latin voices, almost all apps have the same voice.

Before, we had to find someone to record the video with their voice and face, and now we do it through an AI.
Educating the Organization - training with Synthesia
What do you like best about the product?
To begin, Synthesia is an incredibly intuitive tool to learn. Based on a foundation that feels inspired by PowerPoint, for myself and for others, the time to learn the basics has been wonderfully short. Granted, there are naunces to learn with the timing of pauses, motion on the screen, etc, but that can be normal even for someone with video editing experience. Synthesia makes it easy to get to that point of experimenting with details after intial video creation. And this is done via pre-made templates, or importing your own PPT as a groundwork.
Plus, the AI features; both in avatar and in script editor, are fantastic. We've experimented with types of avatars since Day 1, and frequently use the script editor to change tone & word count.

What do you dislike about the product?
As a downside, Synthesia can roll out new features or interface tweaks without proper notification. Yes, they do have an area on the homepage that you can click on to read about it, but that feels a little too "you find it," to me. Fortunately, this feels like less of an issue today (October) than the start of the year when I first was using the tool. And the videos do not preview well over Teams, so I've learned to download them and host locally before any stakeholder previews.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost is the main issue Synthesia addresses. By having a single cost for an Enterprise license, we can edit videos a dozen times and not incur remotely the same fees we'd expect from working with a robust video editing vendor. Even making sweeping changes like adding or replacing an on-camera avatar are seamless thanks to the user-friendly toolset.
