Great for people on the go!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that calls to my desk can be directed to my cell.
What do you dislike about the product?
If the internet goes out, so does your phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have customer service representatives that are able to use tons of features offered by Ring Central. It is great for businesses operating in that capacity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a trustworthy internet connection and a backup plan in place should you lose internet connection. Aside from that- the features are great!
Good enough
What do you like best about the product?
Variety of International numbers to call from.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface is not friendly. Participants list often disappears and screen sizes are not easy to control
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conference calls with Customers and peers
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try Cisco Webex as well
Online meetings done right
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple to add meetings to Outlook invitations or spin up on the fly and mail to colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
My use is pretty simple and I haven't found much to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for scheduled and ad hoc internal and external meetings.
They Hurt my Busuinesss
What do you like best about the product?
They have crippled a portion of our business by not understanding what we wanted. I think customer service and technical support are based outside of the USA and in a country where English is not the primary language. Also, when communicating with them over the phone each party speaks over the other party due to some technical anomalies.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is mediocre at best. The quality of the lines is 5/10, with a major delay in voice if you use the actual app and don't forward the lines to your direct phone/cell phone. After a few calls, we just decided to forward the calls directly as people were complaining about the voice lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ell I wasn't factoring in where you came from until you told me this was why the service was lacking? Strange thing to tell a client.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't go with them. Make sure you use a company that helps you not only to set up lines. I never saw a bad service like that... For sure they lost my account.
Ease of use and enovative
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to communicate with staff through out the country without any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our customers may not necessarily have the same use of this product that we do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business meetings that have spread sheets that need to be shared.
Leader in the UCaaS market, but not necessarily for User Experience
What do you like best about the product?
PBX has majority of class leading features that tries to tie unified communications functions in their package. Different packages available upfront that highlights the differences between a 'good, better, best' option.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support and service delivery. Some functions outsourced, where changes or updates seem disjointed. Support feels tiered, based on business size and product set.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost savings over traditional premise based PBX. Ease of manageability for users. Ring's cloud solution is very salable and help consolidate a distributed workforce under one communications umbrella.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider alternatives such as 8x8, or Jive. Contact customer support and get a feeling of customer experience post sales prior to committing to a platform. Ensure there is a trial or evaluation available prior to cutting over
Solid Phone System with a couple issues
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of adjusting the system - I can entirely onboard new employees and adjust the phones without help.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support is really hit-or-miss, but I do eventually get my issues resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having an onsite PBX system has been great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
RingCentral generally meets our needs very well - we have 35 users (including conference rooms) across 2 cities. They are adding new features pretty often as well.
Can't lose a meeting with this, connect from everywhere
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility to connect to meetings with a lot of devices, by web application, desktop application, mobile application or even by phone, just attending to the meeting number.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I'm in a country with a very bad internet connection, meetings via web application are very hard to do, it is a pain to connect, Other meeting applications have no problem with this, so I don't know if RingCentral need a little more bandwidth or something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for web conferences, it can record the meetings and can be accesed even from a mobile phone whitout internet connection, so even employees with no internet access can join.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this tool for "more professional" web conferences, when you have employees outside the company, outside the city or even in their homes, make the conference in a conference room with everyone but also, add other to the meeting, this will make them feel like the are there with all of you.
Easy to use and consistently works
What do you like best about the product?
For business teleconferencing, RingCentral is fantastic. It's easy to use and consistently just works. With RingCentral, you can easily have multiple people video chatting in the same call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Opening a RingCentral call is not instantaneous--it takes a few seconds to initially load the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a remote employee, I need video conferencing to work every single time. And RingCentral does. I'm able to easily talk and share my screen with my coworkers every day.
A solid VoIp tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to use a hardphone along with a softphone makes it really easy to work in a remote situation should the need arise. Additionally, the iOS app make for easy, on the go calling while out and about.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface can sometimes crash, leading to dropped calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to stay in contact with our clients all over the country without needing expensive infrastructure.
