Works great for tracking phone/SMS activities
What do you like best about the product?
The one application for SMS/Phone/Meetings is great. Previously we were using 2 different applications for the multiple functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
RingCentral's support is offshore which makes it difficult at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brings all of your communications into one easy to use application.
Great Features and Great When Works
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to not have physical phones. The mobile app looks nice and has nice tools. It's a great idea.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our salespeople are always on the move using WiFi. This may not be all RC's fault, but the reliability is so bad for some of our salespeople that they have just stopped using the app when they're not at their desks. This causes a lot of different issues (not using something we're paying for, their numbers not hitting our KPI reporting software, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RC is solving the problem most freight brokers have paying for lots of physical phones and then having a noisy office, which is unpleasant for many people, especially for those not in sales.
DO NOT USE RingCentral MVP - keep looking
What do you like best about the product?
There are no upsides to using them. We have several handsets, that often do not work. They have the worst customer service. We can not have issues resolved and they will not work with you to reduce services that you do not need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their lines have routine outages. Their website is not user friendly. They unilaterally renew contracts for periods of two years and will not work with you to reduce lines that you are not currently using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I receive NO benefits from RingCentral, they are causing problems not solving them. I wanted to use the main line for texting for all numbers, this does not work. Customer service is non-existient.
Lack of customer service and support
What do you like best about the product?
It's a complete platform, easy to use in both admin portal and user experience. Reporting side is really good, you can schedule reports to be sent without having to do that manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no support whatsover, whenever an issue arises and we contact tech support or our sales rep, the response is non-existent. The resolution they give have already been done on our end and they don't know how else to help resolve it, By the time they respond with an answer, it has already been fixed. Porting out from RingCentral is extremely tedious
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had to reach out to the Chief executives on LinkedIn to be able to have someone help us out with the port out. The amount of calls made to have a solution to our issue were just too much and we always received the same useless answer
Pandemic Service Suffered
What do you like best about the product?
Initially, they were way ahead of everyone on the technology side, though they ultimately didn't have a robust enough call center package and we had to upgrade soon after.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting anything done with your account, billing, or support is bureaucratic, slow, and frustrating. They have everything so siloed that it can be hard to find the right person to speak to, even when you go through their ticketing system. You get passed around a lot, and the onus is on the customer to keep following up, calling, and staying on top of them for resolutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None. Initially, it was better than our previous partner and got us to a VOIP solution for better Disaster Recovery. However, they did not keep up with technology as it evolved.
Difficult to use
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very powerful platform IF you have and take the time to learn it. They provide very little training or guidance - in fact we received no on-boarding training at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
We found RingCentral's service confusing and it was very difficult to get help on the phone. They couldn't help us integrate their system with our phone system which was from AT&T which just led to a lot of finger pointing as to whose responsibility it was to "fix" an issue. All we really needed RingCentral for was voicemail since AT&T doesn't offer business voicemail any more but we never did get it to work properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They provided voicemail since AT&T wouldn't but we have moved on from RingCentral.
Good tool for recruiting
What do you like best about the product?
RingCentral is excellent. We can download the app on our phones if we cannot use our phones because we lost power or anything. If we need to work from home, we also have that option instead of having teammates and clients have our personal telephone numbers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could save the numbers that you frequently fax to. The fax-out feature, while significant, has flaws. You don't find out until after that the fax did not send for whatever reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RingCentral is an answering service for us at night. We have 3rd shift employee's and if they need to call out for any reason, we have the answering service to take a message for us to follow up.
Not Quite What We Were Looking For
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it easy to communicate between colleagues and customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of its features are difficult to find in the user panel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating with other people in different countries through VoIP.
Best phone system to use gives subscribers unlimited calls
What do you like best about the product?
Ringcentral is adept at provinding communications features that make working together seamless. Some of the features i like are team messaging, unlimited internet fax and document sharing
What do you dislike about the product?
Myself i took time to learn how to use call handling features like whisper and barge
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes communicating via messages, video and phone calls easy
Platform 3 in 1
What do you like best about the product?
That you can work in a team remotely and keep updating through virtual conferences, calls, emails, etc. And you avoid giving out your personal number.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't have the application, it's difficult to keep track and it has a cost.

Can you help me benefit the work with the versatility of efficient use with the different tools?
