RingCentral MVP has been great for facilitating meetings in our remote work environment, amongst our team, and with clients.

Great communications tool for the corporate environment

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up the RingCentral environment overall was extremely easy thanks to guided support offered by their implementation team. MVP is super easy to use and deploy. Our users are extremely satisfied with the user experience thus far.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the experience has been smooth overall. We haven't gotten any bad feedback from our call center team. The user experience is easy to get used to, and the MVP tool does what we expect from it. No complaints so far!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The only thing we're working on is getting users familiar with call transfers. They've been having difficulties getting used to that one feature. Aside from this, I can't say we have anything else that we're solving aside from meeting our clients' needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create a checklist of the features you know you need. Create a list and add all the features the different products you see include, and begin comparing between them. What is a must? What is good to have? Take demos from all of them, and compare the UI, as this is a tool to be used daily. If RingCentral MVP meets your needs and is within your budget, go for it without a second thought.

Saved the day

What do you like best about the product?
The all-in-one nature of RingCentral MVP allows me to have one app running to take calls, send internal messages, and host internal/external video conferencing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a lot to dislike. They actively develop improvements and new features for the product, which translates to frequent updates and occasional UI changes that take some getting used to. But it is hard to be upset about a company improving its product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communications across the enterprise. We used another solution that pulled an 11th-hour bait and switch on us during license renewal. The decision was made to take a chance on RingCentral, and in a very short amount of time, they had us set up, trained, and using their product before our license had expired with their predecessor.

RingCentral is the next level phone system, out with the old in with the new.

What do you like best about the product?
I like using a Bluetooth earpiece to answer the phone while doing my work, which is even better than having a set of Bluetooth earphones. Hands-free gives one the ability to multitask in an utterly productive manner. I can sift through digital files, check email, or update a document while answering a question or inquiry, all while discussing file details or scheduling a meeting. I enjoy the fact that I no longer have to balance a phone receiver between my shoulder and my ear or risk the posibility of literally dropping the call. Being able to utilize the handsfree and removing the need for a physical phone on the desk providing for more free space or file space. The ability to use the video interface shows up and would be a good tool to have access to since we do not use Microsoft teams but we have not utilized it at this point.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are only two choices of ring tones, a traditional ringer that often startles me or the quieter ringtone that often goes unheard if I am not looking at the right (as opposed to the left) monitor. There should be more than one choice of ringtone. I am also intimated by the hold and release feature when taking multiple calls. The screen/options are not very intuitive or even user-friendly. I am also not a fan of the old fashioned ring because it is slightly unnerving when you are busy working with peace and quiet and then the jarring ring. One thing that could be improved would be keeping the multiple calls seperate such as call one and call two rather than the vague and difficult to differentiate phone graphic. Not sure what the message category is that is seperate from the text message category. It seems to create a whole other message that is often overlooked because it is not a text message or a missed call phone message. A longer time to answer the calls as in more rings would be advantageous.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a simple process to search for an extensition by either name or extension number. It is also nice that you can text a coworker while on a call. In the event that you are away frm your desktop/laptop you can townload the Ring Central app and answer work calls from your cell phone without having to give out a personal phone number. It is a handy communication tool making it easy to answer multiple calls, hold, and transfer the call. Ring Central also provides a guest app so if you are participating in receptionist coverage you have the ability to use the sub app instead of the receptionists headset and app interface. When you use the APP you are no longer tied to your desk making it easier for file clerks and runners to be able to perform their duties.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ring Central is better than the previous VOIP program we used and seems to be easy enough to install and is also very easy when it comes to training new people on the use of the system. So you are looking at an easy setup that can be used in the office or from a home-based office without needing to drag a handset back and forth.

    Higher Education

Easy to navigate, if well versed in video conferencing.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are few button options, which makes it less overwhelming when trying to use the app. It is user friendly for a variety of age groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain types of meetings have a time limit. Once you exceed the limit, all members must log in to a new meeting, if they need more time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was used by my graduate school program during the pandemic, so we could still hold class. It removes the barrier of needing to be in person for schooling.

Simple and does what it is supposed to

  • December 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ring Central is super easy to use. The straightforward interface makes the user feel like they are in control with necessary information at their fingertips. With this software managing all of your comunications, it frees you up to forward your business strategy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside to using this product, as with any VOIP, is that you have to have the internet to use it. If your internet goes down, it does cost you some time on the phones, but it comes right back after the net comes up!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using one program to manage all communications is great. You can do talk, text, video, conferencing, and more in one place with one click! You don't realize how much time you spend going back and forth on different programs or devices to solve your business's problems.

Great For Small Business Phone Setup

  • December 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, ring central provides an easy-to-use interface to get you up and running quickly. Overall, it took about 30-40 minutes to have a fully functional phone system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface can be confusing, alongside some of the instructions. The support was helpful enough but sometimes lacked the technical knowledge to solve more complex problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A start-Up business phone system is what we needed, and we needed it quickly. RingCentral was the best option as it allowed us almost instantly to have a branded phone system.

Great softphone system for call tracking and distribution

  • December 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of RingCentral is how easy it is to create different round-robin call queues and track the performance of the staff answering the calls. RingCentral is a fair price for the service provided, and it is easy to add users and make changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since ring central is a softphone, call quality is tremendously affected by internet speed. When selling over the phone, you need to sound good we had to upgrade to faster business internet. We have had no issues since the speed upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ring central helps us fairly distribute incoming sales calls to specified teams of sales staff. It also allows staff to text without using their personal phone.

All-in-one and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
I love that the MVP app is an all-in-one suite for your communication needs. Video conferences, phone calls, faxes, texts, instant messages, contacts and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
On the mobile app, sometimes connectivity is very shotty. However, this can be helped by switching the settings to use your mobile carrier minutes or WiFi only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software (including the mobile app) helps my firm run meetings and phone conferences smoothly. It also keeps colleagues in close communication through the instant messaging feature.
