    Higher Education

Good product for the price

What do you like best about the product?
The app is easy to navigate and has all of the components with a click of the mouse. The dashboard allows for quick access to all of the components of the account.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app is often more than a user needs. Meaning, it can be difficult to convince users to us the MVP app instead of the simple phone app even though the features of the phone section are the same, they are often overwhelmed by the dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For users who use all of the features of their account on a regular basis, it provides them easy access to the tools. Team chats and on demand video conferences are quite handy for adhoc communications.

Good for Calls but Bad for Video Conferences

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to place calls and ability to send/receive e-faxes on an individual basis. Chat feature on the platform was good and did not run into any issues with that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of our external clients have not heard about RingCentral so there was a learning curve anytime they joined a video call with us. Also, Video Call on the platform was pretty bad
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used it for a couple of years when we were in COVID lockdown when all our users were completely remote. Was able to help us out when we were completely remote for those years.

Good software for virtual teams

What do you like best about the product?
RingCentral allows for our remote team to access and manage all of the incoming calls and texts we receive to the organization. Our clients can call us via RingCentral, leave a voicemail, and we respond by either calling them back or sending a text message. Overall using the platform is very easy and user-friendly. What's great about it is that multiple people can log in and use the platform at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching for messages in RingCentral can be difficult, as it doesn't show the most recent messages first. It can also be hard to hear during phone calls through the platform at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With RingCentral, we don't have to have a designated administrator answering phones for our organization all day. It allows us to split this responsibility, interact with clients via phone and text, and save a lot of staff time.

What do you like best about the product?
Integrating RingCentral gave me the ability to not have to use my personal cell phone while making sales calls, which really helped keep my work and personal lifes seperate
What do you dislike about the product?
sometime ring central pop up wouldnt come up but it would still make calls which would cause me to have to reset my computer to get a call to stop ringing or it would ring and not allow me to answer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's allowing me to keep work and home life separate, it also gives me the ability to change up my numbers if needed to change up my calling abilities for people who might be avoiding my calls

OK Reception Signal Sometimes

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and the app for RingCentral. The organization and design of the app makes a big difference. You want to use the app on a mobile phone as it integrates seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the signal and reception I get off the app when my phone is connected to the internet router. I often ask the person on the other line to hold up while I turn off Wifi on my phone. The data usage for calling gives the end user a clearer voice output.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our communication in our day-to-day operations. It also does a fantastic job of making the job easier for an administrator to maintain the call order and queue.

Perfect isolated communication for work

What do you like best about the product?
I am one of those few people who have an entirely different work life and personal life, this includes sharing my personal contact number with anyone from work. RingCentral has come to my rescue, the ideal app to have on my devices to maintain a separate channel of conversation for work. You get to answer the calls from laptops too!
What do you dislike about the product?
Quite unfortunate that the website is not user-friendly and also the support team is not as very supportive as I prefer one to be. If you are ever looking to get your work done through customer support chances are you'll be quite frustrated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Wifi for communication makes it easier for our team to access our customers and communicate around the clock. The message alerts hade made it easier for us to be prompt in our responses to clients.

Works great for tracking phone/SMS activities

What do you like best about the product?
The one application for SMS/Phone/Meetings is great. Previously we were using 2 different applications for the multiple functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
RingCentral's support is offshore which makes it difficult at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brings all of your communications into one easy to use application.

Great Features and Great When Works

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to not have physical phones. The mobile app looks nice and has nice tools. It's a great idea.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our salespeople are always on the move using WiFi. This may not be all RC's fault, but the reliability is so bad for some of our salespeople that they have just stopped using the app when they're not at their desks. This causes a lot of different issues (not using something we're paying for, their numbers not hitting our KPI reporting software, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RC is solving the problem most freight brokers have paying for lots of physical phones and then having a noisy office, which is unpleasant for many people, especially for those not in sales.

DO NOT USE RingCentral MVP - keep looking

What do you like best about the product?
There are no upsides to using them. We have several handsets, that often do not work. They have the worst customer service. We can not have issues resolved and they will not work with you to reduce services that you do not need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their lines have routine outages. Their website is not user friendly. They unilaterally renew contracts for periods of two years and will not work with you to reduce lines that you are not currently using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I receive NO benefits from RingCentral, they are causing problems not solving them. I wanted to use the main line for texting for all numbers, this does not work. Customer service is non-existient.

Lack of customer service and support

What do you like best about the product?
It's a complete platform, easy to use in both admin portal and user experience. Reporting side is really good, you can schedule reports to be sent without having to do that manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no support whatsover, whenever an issue arises and we contact tech support or our sales rep, the response is non-existent. The resolution they give have already been done on our end and they don't know how else to help resolve it, By the time they respond with an answer, it has already been fixed. Porting out from RingCentral is extremely tedious
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had to reach out to the Chief executives on LinkedIn to be able to have someone help us out with the port out. The amount of calls made to have a solution to our issue were just too much and we always received the same useless answer
