RingCentral is the next level phone system, out with the old in with the new.
What do you like best about the product?
I like using a Bluetooth earpiece to answer the phone while doing my work, which is even better than having a set of Bluetooth earphones. Hands-free gives one the ability to multitask in an utterly productive manner. I can sift through digital files, check email, or update a document while answering a question or inquiry, all while discussing file details or scheduling a meeting. I enjoy the fact that I no longer have to balance a phone receiver between my shoulder and my ear or risk the posibility of literally dropping the call. Being able to utilize the handsfree and removing the need for a physical phone on the desk providing for more free space or file space. The ability to use the video interface shows up and would be a good tool to have access to since we do not use Microsoft teams but we have not utilized it at this point.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are only two choices of ring tones, a traditional ringer that often startles me or the quieter ringtone that often goes unheard if I am not looking at the right (as opposed to the left) monitor. There should be more than one choice of ringtone. I am also intimated by the hold and release feature when taking multiple calls. The screen/options are not very intuitive or even user-friendly. I am also not a fan of the old fashioned ring because it is slightly unnerving when you are busy working with peace and quiet and then the jarring ring. One thing that could be improved would be keeping the multiple calls seperate such as call one and call two rather than the vague and difficult to differentiate phone graphic. Not sure what the message category is that is seperate from the text message category. It seems to create a whole other message that is often overlooked because it is not a text message or a missed call phone message. A longer time to answer the calls as in more rings would be advantageous.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a simple process to search for an extensition by either name or extension number. It is also nice that you can text a coworker while on a call. In the event that you are away frm your desktop/laptop you can townload the Ring Central app and answer work calls from your cell phone without having to give out a personal phone number. It is a handy communication tool making it easy to answer multiple calls, hold, and transfer the call. Ring Central also provides a guest app so if you are participating in receptionist coverage you have the ability to use the sub app instead of the receptionists headset and app interface. When you use the APP you are no longer tied to your desk making it easier for file clerks and runners to be able to perform their duties.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ring Central is better than the previous VOIP program we used and seems to be easy enough to install and is also very easy when it comes to training new people on the use of the system. So you are looking at an easy setup that can be used in the office or from a home-based office without needing to drag a handset back and forth.
Easy to navigate, if well versed in video conferencing.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are few button options, which makes it less overwhelming when trying to use the app. It is user friendly for a variety of age groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain types of meetings have a time limit. Once you exceed the limit, all members must log in to a new meeting, if they need more time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was used by my graduate school program during the pandemic, so we could still hold class. It removes the barrier of needing to be in person for schooling.
Simple and does what it is supposed to
What do you like best about the product?
Ring Central is super easy to use. The straightforward interface makes the user feel like they are in control with necessary information at their fingertips. With this software managing all of your comunications, it frees you up to forward your business strategy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside to using this product, as with any VOIP, is that you have to have the internet to use it. If your internet goes down, it does cost you some time on the phones, but it comes right back after the net comes up!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using one program to manage all communications is great. You can do talk, text, video, conferencing, and more in one place with one click! You don't realize how much time you spend going back and forth on different programs or devices to solve your business's problems.
Great For Small Business Phone Setup
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, ring central provides an easy-to-use interface to get you up and running quickly. Overall, it took about 30-40 minutes to have a fully functional phone system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface can be confusing, alongside some of the instructions. The support was helpful enough but sometimes lacked the technical knowledge to solve more complex problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A start-Up business phone system is what we needed, and we needed it quickly. RingCentral was the best option as it allowed us almost instantly to have a branded phone system.
Great softphone system for call tracking and distribution
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of RingCentral is how easy it is to create different round-robin call queues and track the performance of the staff answering the calls. RingCentral is a fair price for the service provided, and it is easy to add users and make changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since ring central is a softphone, call quality is tremendously affected by internet speed. When selling over the phone, you need to sound good we had to upgrade to faster business internet. We have had no issues since the speed upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ring central helps us fairly distribute incoming sales calls to specified teams of sales staff. It also allows staff to text without using their personal phone.
All-in-one and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I love that the MVP app is an all-in-one suite for your communication needs. Video conferences, phone calls, faxes, texts, instant messages, contacts and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
On the mobile app, sometimes connectivity is very shotty. However, this can be helped by switching the settings to use your mobile carrier minutes or WiFi only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software (including the mobile app) helps my firm run meetings and phone conferences smoothly. It also keeps colleagues in close communication through the instant messaging feature.

What do you like best about the product?
complete admin dashboard, tracking abilities, recording ability
What do you dislike about the product?
its a little hard to setup, the dashboard can be little easy to hover around, else its great
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
recordings, call tracking and then improving communication
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great Desktop Ap for business phone lines
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I'm able to change my number so that I can pick a recognizable number for the prospects I'm calling. I also like that all calls are recorded. We use the recordings for training, quality checks, etc. The ability to put people into call queues is convenient. I also like the ease of customizing the different call queues, numbers, orders, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the recordings were available for longer. Most of the time, we only need access to calls within the month, but once in a blue moon, I wish I could listen to a call from a year ago. Rarely, a random call will just not be recorded for no apparent reason. Lastly, once in a while, my phone will seem like it's loading and not ringing, and I will randomly get through to a person's voicemail, or they will answer, and I won't be prepared for it.
These things are not deal-breakers, and we find ways to adjust, but it can be unpleasant.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that we don't have to use our personal phones for work, but we do have the option to add the app to our personal phones if we want to have the ability to answer a business call away from the desk. It's also pretty easy to change Queue settings from the phone app if you know what you are doing. I love not being tied to my desk because I'm scared I will miss a phone call.
Lastly, training is so much easier when you can go back and listen to a call. We are all human, so sometimes we even miss things in the moment, but the easy access to the recorded call makes the calls smoother without the fear of making the customer repeat themselves.

Contract forces you to pay for lines you don't use.
What do you like best about the product?
Service is fine. If you purchase additional items it can enhance the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
RingCentral contract is rip off. Do not sign up with this company. Because of COVID and other economical reasons we have had to reduce our headcount in order to stay in business. Ring central is not willing to reduce the number of lines we originally signed up with and if we cancel and shut down our business they will still go after us with a cancellation charge. They have no problem charging us for phone lines we don't use but if we increase phone lines they would charge us for additional lines. They locked me in a 2-year contract that I have to pay for lines I will not use.
IF you get them to make any change they will add another 2 years to the contract. Yes, you will be in contract to pay them for 4 years regardless of what happens to your business.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customers call us, the phone rings, and we are able to answer the phone. So it solves that I suppose.
You Get So Much For One Price!
What do you like best about the product?
With the Ring Central MVP Package you not only get phone service, but you also get a secure fax line (that is GLBA approved), and secure video chat that is powered by Zoom (but with extra encryption).
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer a more US Based customer support system. Unfortunately, they use a overseas customer support system and it can be difficult. Also, sometimes my toll free phone number come up in caller ID as china.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At one point, I was paying a great deal more for three separate services (phone, video calls, and secure e-fax. However, with Ring Central MVP, I get it all at one low price.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ring Central is a one stop shop when it comes to business communications. Not only do you get phone service, video chat, and fax, but you also get other features such as team chat. It has really been a great benefit for my businesss, and has saved me money.
