Don't waste your time looking at anything else

What do you like best about the product?
This software is incredibly easy to use - works across multiple platforms - very feature rich - excellent support - cloud based - very cost effective compared to a hosted on-prem solution.
This service/software allowed us to easily transition to working from home (on a permanent basis) without any problems. My users can work from anywhere and any time. This service includes phone and video.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point (have been using the service for about 11 months), I have nothing negative to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems solved - Cost savings, work from home, retired legacy systems

Benefits - one major benefits we have noticed (being an Office365 customer), not all of our clients can use Microsoft Teams, so this gives us a second option if there are issues with using Teams. The feature set of the Video calls is very strong if you are looking to host large meetings or webinars
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just do it

Looking for An All-In-One Phone, Fax, and Video Conference Solution, Consider This One...

What do you like best about the product?
Built on Zoom technology, Ring Central Meetings is an integrated video conferencing tool that allows you to manage video conferencing on the fly, or schedule future dates for upcoming meetings and online events. Easy to use, even for those who are not tech-savvy. Technology for the most part is stable.
What do you dislike about the product?
No way to capture registrants who sign up in advance for a meeting or event you've scheduled in the future, making follow-up more difficult. No "On-Demand" functionality. It's a pretty basic video conferencing tool, so I also have a Zoom paid subscription for On-Demand Webinar Events. No editing feature for recorded video, either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for meeting on the fly with clients and prospects. I can share my screen and conduct online webinars, as well as allow screen sharing of other hosts or presenters. it also offers a basic whiteboard feature, and the ability to record events in both video and audio-only format.

RingCentral made switching to all remote workforce a non-issue

  • August 25, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup and the speed of setup. Our company went from a 2 office, 150 employee company with 16 offices in 6 countries, with over 1500 employees in 36 months. RingCentrals ease of deployment and use, was a great benefit during this growth time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their billing can be very confusing. They are getting better and have redesigned their invoices. Some issues getting lines in some countries, but that is almost always due to the countries' telecom restrictions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a rapidly expanding company and RingCentral is able to keep up the pace with us. Phone deployment is never the bottleneck.

The future of digital communication is here with RingCentral

  • August 07, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
RingCentral is a digital communication platform in the cloud, for a long time we wanted to leave behind the analog communication devices that represented enormous maintenance, installation and deployment costs, digital communication came to revolutionize the way we communicate and RingCentral has We have been our great ally, we have saved a lot of money, and we also managed to connect those workplaces that were difficult to connect due to costs. Now, through IP communication, we can communicate faster and better.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like RingCentral to have an instant messaging system so that colleagues can interact faster with each other, in case telephone communication was not the first option at that time, it would be a good way to be connected, it would also be ideal if the Phonebook will sync with our messaging system to more easily find the phones of our active contacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The costs of network deployment and maintenance represent a great amount of money for our company, so it was necessary to migrate to a digital communication system that was cheaper but also more efficient, we have achieved this with the help of RingCentral which has been widely accepted by our collaborators who have easily adapted to this new way of communicating.

AVOID: Decent Tool for Training New Reps but there are WAY BETTER OPTIONS

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to monitor your calls is an invaluable learning tool. Anyone in sales not recording their pitches and/or demos is at a huge disadvantage. This is an easy add on to help increase prospecting, and get your reps up to speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I used these guys 2 companies ago and remember that they have multiple apps and none of them have worked from the beginning. They say that they have their engineers working on them and it’s always the same story of making it a priority to fix the issue. Well, months later and their “priority” is still in limbo. You would think that they would offer us some kind of compensation but they don’t even care. Bottom line, they look and sound great up front but once you are locked in, they really don’t care about the customer! Since it is a public company, I guess they only care about the shareholders and not their actual customers!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None at the moment. Ring DNA and/or Zoom are much better alternatives
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Support your products and customers. Yall is brutal.

Works well most of the time

  • July 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can schedule a meeting with 1 click from a calendar invite. It is also quite reliable and once you get the hang of it, really simple to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Attendees often have trouble joining the meeting. The directions are also not super clear. I know you can modify it howeve you'd like, but I dont want to have to do that each time. I believe it could be simplified. I also never need international numbers, so it would be great to completely remove that whole piece.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is how I connect with clients on a daily basis, as well as many internal meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It works well, is reliable, and rarely has service interruptions.

Ring is a great option for collaboration

  • July 16, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Ring Central is around the Mobile app compared to the desktop application. A lot of the features in regards to scheduling and joining/starting meetings is at least equal to it's competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the actual invite that comes through email is a bit less user friendly than WebEx or Microsoft Teams. It's not confusing, but just not as clear on how to dial in / access audio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the problem of making sure that I use the same collaboration platform of certain clients and our partners at Ring Central.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As always, compare Ring Central to other collaboration platforms. I would recommend comparing the meeting invites to see which one looks most appealing to you and your team.

Best Video Conferencing Ever

What do you like best about the product?
The virtual backgrounds. I can't tell you how fun and helpful these are if you have a less-than-ideal working from home environment. You can literally take a photo of your clean living room or office and use that as your virtual background in order to hide the mess a child made, or things you haven't been able to clean up. Alternatively, you can use it just for fun during virtual social events! Also the breakout rooms are fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I can't think of many downsides. Occasionally you might get kicked off due to poor internet connection and the virtual backgrounds don't always work as well as might want. And we've all heard stories of others Zoom-bombing meetings. But overall, it's fantastic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems being solved are simply the working from home factor. You can schedule meetings or just send someone a link for a one-off meeting in real time. RingCentral helps maintain that level of interaction and social atmosphere during COVID quarantine times and allows everyone to be able to 'visit' with their co-workers in both social and business aspects. Benefits can really be summed up quite easily in that RingCentral is allowing business to maintain their in-office work structures while providing the remote-flexibility so many employees desire
