What do you like best about the product?
My current D2L team is great. When I have specific needs, they are very helpful in finding solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a non-profit museum institution, our needs differ from traditional learning environments. D2L is helpful in customizing the tool to fit our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L is helping us with our internal training and our external outreach needs.

Most User Friendly Highly Customizable Content Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Highly Customizable, Most User Friendly, Detailed and self explainatory, LMS Platform
What do you dislike about the product?
D2L platform slows down at times. As an Admin, when I try to search users - the result returned many times gets errored out. I'm really unaware how the search User works in D2L but this needs to be improvised

D2L platform is helpful is multiple ways like creating reports for any time range as there are wide varity of Data Hubs. Configuring account wise details for proper tracking

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very user friendly and straightforwad. Its easy for instuctors to set up and moldify courses and the learning repository makes uploading course materials quick and easy. There are lots of resources available for training. Customer support is also excellent.

Nothing. Our experience with Brightspace has been exceptional.

Brightspace transformed my course design
What do you like best about the product?
Brightspace has a great collection of features and tools that work well together, are easy to use, and allows truly great course design with much less effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Primarily small details, such as needing due dates on Discussions or the ability to attach a rubric to a Written Answer quiz question.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At my institution, the instructors are the course builders. As an instructor, Brightspace allows me to build courses with high quality design, according to well established frameworks, best practices and even the Quality Matters rubric. This, in turn, provides a better experience for students and increases their chances for success. Student success is the ultimate goal that Brightspace helps me to achieve.
A flexible LMS
What do you like best about the product?
It is quite flexible and has a ton of features which you can choose to toggle on or off. You can use it for both external and internal training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Attendnace and IM tools are lacklustre.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to use for internal and external training. A one stop shop for our clients to learn and engage with staff.
Supportive onboarding experience and dynamic LMS
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using D2L Brightspace for nearly three years now and it's a robust and engaging platform for hosting course content and designing. The onboarding experience was strong and I was able to receive support as I ramped up my skills and knowledge. I have learned so much from my time with the team, and I continue to add layers to my learning with each year of implementation. Ease of use is STRONG - it's the most intuitive of any LMS I have personally used. I build in D2L frequently! I am looking forward to using it more and seeing what learning experiences I can create for adults!
What do you dislike about the product?
Yes it's pricey but I think worth it. I wish there were more interactive options like Articulate directly in the platform but now that there are interactive integrations coming, I am SO excited! I would love more hands on support Year 2+ and would love (free) community trainings, too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I see many opportunities for engaging learners and deliver learning in a way that is supportive, active and effective. Brightspace is also proving to be very scalable as we grow our courses (currently to eight), and management has been mostly painless.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for something that is versatile and a product that can grow with you, this might just be it!
Good Tech, Great People
What do you like best about the product?
Customer prioritization is second to none, the people are always working for you. We trust that the technology is going to work and continue to evolve to present the best to our users. We enjoy the user interface and the customization opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin tools section could use improvement, but everything that we need is present and clear. I think that more branding options would be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L allows us to run a course that is somewhere between asynchronous and synchronous. We are able to create student benchmarks that allow for better systems improvement in our course.
I do not see myself as a client. I feel more like a partner.
What do you like best about the product?
The D2L Brightspace LMS is user-friendly. As a self-described 'technology idiot' I have no issue navigating the system. What is more to me than anything else is that my students do not have any issues setting up the system. I'm not going to lie, my favorite part about using D2L is the level of care that I get from my customer success team. They have helped me in ways that have made my life easier. It isn't just the cost, it the customer service, the features within the platform that keep my students engaged, and my ability to integrate my learning materials into the courses. This is just a great program.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I had some constructive feedback, but I don't. I have loved everything about the company and the platform so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I teach a financial literacy and career development course for the Kentucky Juvenile Court System and as a part of a summer program in NYC. Brightspace has allowed me to serve multiple populations and clients. It is what has negated the brick and mortor approach to education that Im used to.
