SpiraTest for small team
What do you like best about the product?
Enjoy the abilty to customize fields and setup a variety of test case styles

UI can be very cluttered at times, and navigation is not always intuitive

Great product for checking systems functionality
What do you like best about the product?
It gives us the power to test the functionality of most of the tools that we integrate into our systems. It ensures each department works effectively in collaboration with each team member. The progress of the task in our organization is also well managed.
What do you dislike about the product?
SpiraTest has been very effective in its daily duties. The main challenge is to customize it effectively to fit our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to test and ensure that our workforce team has the best tools for implementing any task and project. There is close collaboration of our team members when working which has boosted our company growth.

For proper testing of working tools I highly recommend SpiraTest for better results. Working teams are able to have high production when working with excellent tools.
Best tool for customizing reports and managing projects
What do you like best about the product?
The support our team gets from SpiraTest is great managing all our projects and ensuring we have excellent reports. It can easily access the progress of workflows through real-time charts that help us determine our production.

I can attest that SpiraTest has never failed in giving out the best. Our technical team has got easy time in ensuring our software is ready for use.

I have highly benefited in ensuring our teams and clients are satisfied. There is proper management of tasks and each team member has got its role to implement. It enables us to test any data that integrates into our systems.

The tool enables our programs to run effectively by ensuring they are effective in operation. Our clients are ever happy since we started using this product to ensure they get excellent services. There is a steady flow of projects and tasks.

There are no reports of program failure of incomplete tasks since we deployed SpiraTest. It has been functioning effectively with excellent service to our organization.

The main challenge we have solved using this product is tracking bugs to ensure all our systems are operating effectively. Our data is always safe with this product and we are able to make well informed decisions.

Powerful Issue Scheduling and easy Solution.
What do you like best about the product?
SpiralTeast Cloud deployment and the Desktop deployment on Windows is very responsive and functional.
The easy to customize the tool options is a big plus on this assignment and changes management platform and its technical team is very effective and responsive.

No much on the package to complain about. Easy on the product training through various training choices offered.

SpiraTest has proven to be an invaluable tool to manage our requirements and testing activities

Requirements traceability, ease of use for functional test participants, a central repository for all of our test cases

My team has found template management to be a bit challenging at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we were using spreadsheets for our requirements documents and for test cases. Having users execute test cases and record results individually and then needing to consolidate results was a nightmare, very time consuming and prone to inaccuracies. Plus all traceability was done manually with little to no reporting capability. SpiraTest has reduced the time required to capture and execute test cases, provides more accurate traceability, and overall provides a much better testing experience for our UAT participants.

Speed and UI issues. The software can be slow, and UI is a bit idiosyncratic

Multiple teams across different stakeholders working on the same product and having a top down approach to testing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared for a lot of initial setup; changing workflows after the fact is a bit challenging and the API has a lot of quirks.
SpiraPlan has helped us have a more consistent SDLC.
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to adapt their workflows to our unique SDLC and not be stuck with a specific SDLC workflow.
I also like the ability to control who can change different fields in each of the artifacts. Limiting the ability to change fields allows us to minimize the impact of users changing fields once development or testing has started.

What do you dislike about the product?
That the "display levels" does not work very well with the filters. I have opened a ticket on this, and Inflectra indicated that they know it, but no actual timeline of when the fix will be made or if it even would be fixed.
I wouldn't say I like how the requested state is opened to all users to change. Allowing all users to change at this state means we can lock down the fields by either adding an additional state or allowing all users the ability to edit.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our SDLC was defined by a couple of people's interpretation of an SOP and was often changing. SpiraPlan has helped us define our processes and be more consistent.

I recommend Spira to anyone that wants a consistent yet flexible platform to hold their software artifacts.
