SpiraTest is excellent for scripting test cases
What do you like best about the product?
Of all the test case tools I've used, SpiraTest is by far the best for scripting. It makes the cloning and linking of similar test cases very convenient. What really facilitates this feature is the Parameters functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would nice if the test case owner field would be updated automatically. Presently, this needs to be manually updated after the test case execution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SpiraTest is a very useful tool for capturing and maintaining test cases. It provides a convenient way to review old test cases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a tool that will make the scripting of test cases much easier, you should definitely taka a look at SpiraTest.

Spira Test Tool Review
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to Use, good UI experienced in writing test cases and creating folders for software releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we first started using Spira Test in our QA team there were several glitches like folders being deleted unintentionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating Test Documentation in a timely manner for software releases.
Spira
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent place to enter test cases and track testing. Reports after testing are great for sharing with the testing team.
What do you dislike about the product?
To create traceability is not really user friendly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spira is used to track testing and defects
SpiraTest is a great tool for managing test cases
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to configure, and comes with robust features for storing and executing test cases. The tool has helped keep the team working efficiently. The migration from HP ALM to SpiraTest was easy when using the export tool provided by Inflectra.
What do you dislike about the product?
I ran into some small issues with the upgrade package that gave me some headaches. Support did end up getting me back on track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We chose SpiraTest to replace HP ALM. Saving the company money was the primary motivator, but SpiraTest had the basic features that we needed to get our work done.
Very versatile test management tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to sort requirement, tests and progress, so that only the desired elements are displayed. E.g. upcoming features in a planed release. Way easier for people that are not familiar with Spiratest to get an overview of the progress for current release when the entire backlog contains +100 requirement and tests.
For many years i have worked with requirements and test for medical and military equipment and I had previously used Word/Excel or Confluence to manage these. Spiratest is a dream to work with compared to the way i used to work, it is so easy to manage requirements and tests. And not forget the traceability options which is always required for medical or safety equipment release.

What do you dislike about the product?
As an Admin you cant delete existing users (also demo users). I wish i could build my own workflow, it is mostly renaming of flow elements that i miss. The crossreference between projects miss the last work, running a test across two projects will place the result in the project where the test is placed, but it should of course be placed in the project where you have requested to run the test. But i know they are working on the crossreference handling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Spiratest (admin/tester) at my 2 last workplaces and hope to continue to use it in the future. I use Spiratest for requirement, release and test management for product release. This includes both SW and HW requirements.
Currently we have been using spiretest to manage Compliance demands such as EMC standards. The sort functionality of spiretest is very good at displaying differences between requirements. We used the "status" to set what state the individual standard was in. E.g "obsolete", "active" or "in progress" (meaning that it is a new incoming version, which in time will replace other standards). So even if Spiratest is mostly a software tool it can be very well adapted to other tasks

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Spiratest for all that wants/require requirement and test traceability. It is so easy to get/display an overview of current progress to others. Test results can easily be compared to previous releases, since all data is stored.
SpiraTest Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how i'm able to manage and move all my Business and Detailed requirements around using the UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
SpiraTest needs to be better suited to handle an Agile methodology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Requirement Delivery
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product for all your waterfall requirement needs.
Best value for money in terms of test management
What do you like best about the product?
The value for money and the quality of the product that we are getting goes way beyond our expectations. also it integrates easily with Jira so it really assists in test management and bug tracking. maintenance and user support is easy they typically respond quickly and they always have answers for our queries. The best thing about them is that they take feedback very seriously and over the years i have seen improvements to the product from these feedback that they get.
What do you dislike about the product?
once a user is created there is no way of deleting them, you can only disable the user this is quit annoying as you can get a big list of users and half are inactive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since 2014 we have been trying to move from the manual process of testing. We were using excel for bug tracking and reporting spiratest has made it very easy for us to track and manage our testing in house it has made life easier and we accomplish more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is a cheaper option to other test management tools and the value gotten after implementation is the best in the market. The learning curve is not steep, you can have users adopting as early as one month after implementation.
A great value for money test management tool!
What do you like best about the product?
SpiraTest is probably the best value for money test management tool. After an easy implementation the product was adopted fast by the users within our company. Maintaining the product is easy. User support is great. Questions are mostly answered the same day by Inflectra. They create a customer relationship that counts. Feedback that is given on their product is always taken into consideration.
What do you dislike about the product?
* After importing users from an LDAP it is not possible to delete them afterwards.
* Some things (automail content, workflow step names) are not customizable.
* Some things (automail content, workflow step names) are not customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since 2012 we're trying to take testing to a higher level within our organisation. After implementing SpiraTest defects are solved faster and logging them gives us the possibility to do root cause analysis. Logging our testcases and requirements and mapping them gives us certainty about test coverage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Because of the value you get for your money, SpiraTest is very interesting for companies who want to start with taking testing to a higher level. There is no need to use all features right from the beginning. By starting with, for example, defect management it gives your company a change to easy adapt the new way of working.
More than test management
What do you like best about the product?
SpiraTest hits all of the requirements for a complete Test Management solution, and goes much futher, providing most of the features of ALM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI, while improving, is non-intuitive and takes some getting used to. The workflow/process aspects are not as customizable as we would have liked -- in the end though, that has let to some process improvements on our side as the methodology enforced by SpiraTest was [frankly] better than ours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a test case management and execution solution. SpiraTest took quite a bit of time and effort to integrate into our environment, but it has totally transformed our Test/QA/V&V processes in a very positive way. We are likely to migrate to full ALM (SpiraTeam) as it should prove to be more time efficient and cost effective than our current two platform solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be open minded about what you think should be a part of test management software. The ALM perspective provided by SpiraTest takes some getting used to, but the results are worth it.
