Super easy to use DLP platform
What do you like best about the product?
It was super easy to get this installed on all the machines. It uses very little CPU and does a good job with removable media. Overal it certainly does a good job of doing what it needs to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's fairly common but support would not help us with the version we had and the version could not be upgraded to the latest version in one go. We had to install each new version manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for DLP and it is doing just that. DLP is incredibly important in the medical field. It has helped us find things we didn't even know we were looking for and helped us improve processes

This platform allows to create flexible rules for better control of endpoints
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly GUI and ability to fully control each aspect of endpoints from one place. Integration with systems is secure and simple. Low CPU consumption allows run it almost on every hardware
What do you dislike about the product?
The creation of custom rules sometimes needs knowledge of specific code. Requirements regarding its SQL database, Read\Write IOPS needs highly rated Hard Disk Drives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being part of the Governmental structure and owner of private and personal data of citizens, it is critical to correctly protect these actives in modern world. Digital Guardian solution allows to increase level of security.
Professional Protector for your Data
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is, it's collecting data by installing an Agent into a Endpoint as it sits in the kernal so as it protects data perfectly by inside and outside attacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Usually, DLP is in conflict with other programs with Outlook and Excel, which makes it a bit slow due to continuous monitoring.
Frequent Update / Fix - This gives some problems, which means one fixes and another issue arrives. It's still there.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It'll alert us (administartors) during a suspicios activity whenever User uploads data online and it'll be reviewed. Wherever the Unauthorized file copies there, it'll easily exfilterate it.

No management of DAR scanners in DGMC....

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although I use DG internally with all servers at my data centers, I would recommend using your cloud solution for easier release maintenance and access to more data.

What do you like best about the product?
In DG, We can block domain based mail access where as in other DLP

Deployment of DG is the complicated one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have allow our client based Gsuit mail through Outlook but we need to block other Gsuites like personal Gmail domains. That was did only with DG.

When you want to be a best DLP solution for your Endpoints you have to choose DG only
Managed DLP solution
What do you like best about the product?
We are a small organization in regards to headcount, but provide an important function so when we were able to get this as a managed service it worked out well as it is a way to augment our existing team. The DG agent is very powerful in the ways it can be used to control your data and it helps make you aware of your data as well. Our analyst does a nice job of finding things of interest so we are more aware of what data is going where and we can ensure it would be difficult to misuse. If you want this to go well it is really important to make sure you put the time and effort in during implementation to ensure you don't run into issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any complaints about the product. It does what we need it to and seems to be lightweight in regards to its impact on performance. The biggest thing they could work on is communication between sales and professional services because sometimes we have minor things that we want to change and sales thinks it should have a charge associated, which if it were the case we would probably stop using the product, and professional services sets up about a 10-minute call and resolves the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Digital Guardian is our Data Loss Prevention and data classification platform. Before using this product, we could classify data, but it involved human interaction and whenever you involve humans you involve additional risk. When someone is busy asking them to take additional time to ensure the proper classification of a document is asking a lot. This removes the human element and since we do the managed service version of DG we also have an analyst assigned to watch the logs for us instead of spending hours going through logs each week.

What do you like best about the product?
Digital Guardian's customer service and TAM offering is by far the best part of DG, that I've experienced, thus far. Our TAM, Antonio, has been an incredible asset for our team, and has provided unparalleled service time and time again.
What do you dislike about the product?
My least favorite part of DG is the instability and search algorithms that DG has used in the DGMC software. Searching and navigating that part of the console can be clunky and generally unstable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team at BH has been able to analyze, investigate and track down large amounts of data egress using ARC, and the tool has been invaluable for auditing purposes and general data security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use their WalkMe software and training feature within ARC

DG - Tremendous Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The DLP is the most important tool in the threat protection process. Playing a vital role in secure data transmission. Assigning policies to individual users is working effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to improve the Helpdesk Support on the technical aspects. There are no customized policies for the group of applications or groups of people. No user-friendly GUI in the console.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Agent communication issue has been solved. Data loss prevention and security aspects are the main benefits. The DLP process helps to block the confidential data transfer.

Very secure app for data transmission. The policy customization is compatible.

It worked great to prevent data from disappearing as well as creating more time to get coffee. However their support was good at passing issues to developers.

That it slowed down the machines so much that it made them unusable.
