A critical piece of our new telemetry system

  • September 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
last9's sales/support team was incredibly helpful in setting us up / getting us started using the platform. It has been intuitive and most importantly powerful to use. Has done a great job helping us cut through the massive amounts of telemetry data our system produces, and the insights we've gained from it have already highlighted bugs in our system and helped us identify and resolve outages before they got out of hand.

Last9's high cardinality data features made it stand out from other products we considered.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far all the features I've personally needed have been there.

Data is stored on and transits through last9 servers, which means for our data privacy requirements we have to sensor user data before we send it to last9. It would be great if we could self host some parts of the software such as specific trace data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying bugs and finding and solving their root causes. Alerting on outages and helping bring down MTTR

Reliable platform for proactive observability and incident management

  • September 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Last9 makes it incredibly easy to gain visibility into system health with its well-structured observability features. I really like how the platform emphasizes reliability as a product, helping teams move from reactive firefighting to proactive monitoring. The dashboards are intuitive, setup is smooth, and the alerts are precise without being overwhelming.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for new users can be a bit steep, especially if they’re not already familiar with SRE concepts like SLOs and error budgets. Some advanced features could use more detailed documentation or onboarding support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 helps solve the challenge of maintaining system reliability at scale by providing clear visibility into service health, dependencies, and performance through SLOs and error budgets. Instead of getting lost in endless metrics, it allows me to focus on what truly impacts user experience. This has reduced downtime, improved incident response times, and freed up engineering bandwidth to focus on building features rather than constantly firefighting.

Reliable Observability with Minimal Effort

  • September 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The clean interface and proactive alerting make it simple to catch issues before they impact users. Setup was quick, and the platform fits seamlessly into our workflow. Their customer support is responsive and helpful, which makes adoption smooth. We now rely on Last9 almost daily for monitoring and weekly for SLA reviews, and it consistently saves us valuable troubleshooting time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d like more flexibility in customizing alert thresholds and advanced integrations, but overall these are minor compared to the value it delivers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 helps us proactively identify and resolve performance issues before they affect end users. By consolidating observability data into a clean, actionable interface, it reduces noise from alerts and highlights what truly matters. This has significantly cut down our troubleshooting time, improved system reliability, and allowed our team to focus more on building features instead of firefighting incidents.

Observability platform with unmatched support and flexibility

  • August 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I value most about Last9 is that it truly feels worth the price we are paying. Their pay-for-what-you-use model is transparent and they even worked with us to personalize the experience and bring costs down to a level that suited our needs. The team went above and beyond by staying in touch with us every day during setup and optimization. That level of support is rare, and it really helped us adopt the platform smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s honestly not much to dislike, but if I had to pick one thing, it would be that because Last9 is evolving so quickly, sometimes it takes a little time to catch up with all the new features. That said, their team is very responsive and helps us navigate any changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 is helping us simplify observability without the overhead of managing complex infrastructure. Before monitoring and troubleshooting issues meant juggling multiple tools and high costs. With Last9, we get a clear, consolidated view of our systems while only paying for what we actually use. Their platform makes it easier to detect and resolve issues faster, which directly improves reliability for our end users. On top of that, the team’s close support has made adoption seamless and allowed us to focus more on building rather than firefighting.

Great for Understanding Code Flow and Debugging

  • August 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Last9 is how convenient it makes debugging. Recently, I had to investigate an incident across nearly 20 microservices. With Last9, it was easy to search for the exact service I needed and then check the logs to trace the issue. That saved me a lot of time compared to digging through everything manually. The platform itself is pretty easy to use and straightforward to implement, so getting started didn’t feel like a heavy lift. I also find myself using it quite frequently because the features are practical and actually helpful for day-to-day debugging. Integration with our existing setup was smooth, and whenever I’ve needed help, their customer support has been responsive. Another thing I really value is data privacy—after some research, I found that Last9 keeps everything encrypted, which gives me confidence that my company’s data is secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I haven’t found anything major to dislike. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that sometimes there’s a bit of latency, and occasionally the data doesn’t update right away, so I need to refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 helps us a lot with debugging and incident management. We have multiple microservices, and earlier it was difficult to trace issues quickly. With Last9, I can easily search for the exact service, check logs, and identify the root cause without wasting time. It reduces the effort of switching between different tools and makes the whole process faster. On top of that, the data security and encryption give me peace of mind that our company’s information is safe.

Very helpful to understand the flow and debug

  • August 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I really like is how easy it was to get started — the implementation was way smoother than I expected. It plugged into our existing stack without much fuss, so I could actually start using it instead of spending weeks setting it up. I use it pretty regularly, almost daily, because it gives me a quick read on reliability and highlights the issues that actually matter to users. The SLO-first approach makes it super clear what’s important, and the customer support team has been really responsive whenever I’ve had doubts — I’ve always gotten clear answers fast. Overall, it feels like a developer-friendly tool that makes my life simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only tricky part for me was the learning curve in the beginning. Some of the concepts around SLOs felt a little overwhelming, and I had to spend extra time figuring out the best way to use them for our setup. I also think the docs could use more hands-on examples, which would’ve made implementation even easier. I use it pretty often now, but early on, I found myself not knowing which view to check for certain questions. Support helped when I reached out, but I think a bit more in-product guidance would go a long way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Last9, it always felt like we were drowning in metrics and alerts but didn’t really know which ones mattered. Last9 solves that by focusing on SLOs, so instead of chasing random CPU spikes or noise from dashboards, I know exactly which issues affect users. It’s also helping us cut down on firefighting — I spend less time debugging blind and more time building features, because I can quickly see which service is unhealthy and why. Another big benefit is reliability planning: it highlights weak spots in our system before they turn into outages, which honestly reduces a lot of stress for me as a developer.

How last9 is Saving hours of Debugging Time.

  • August 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am a Associate Developer and need more context on product to enhance my learning. Last9 has been a great helping tool to achieve that where i can see all the flows in multiple microservices, filter them by tima and log levels. I have been using last9 almost daily. It is easy to integrate and is one time process. once integrated i can just add a log in my codebase and i can track the flow in real-time. it also has rehydration that is very helpful and makes it very easy to get logs for a certain time range. Query and send to slack features are also very useful for solving customer support tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tail logs function is something i have never used. For 20+ microservices, its hard analyse all the logs coming in real time.
Other than that, last9 do what it should do, Give structured logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Last9 is providing a structured way to analyse and filter logs for 20+ microservices, which otherwise would need to be checked manually in AWS or server logs.
