Microstrategy still need huge involvement of IT.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating very interactive dossiers. Analysts have more control with latest versions.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that MSTR is easy to use and run from the web interface, especially for our business users with non-IT background.
The new 2020 version looks impressive and Dossier is another great application.

What do you dislike about the product?
Pixel perfect is annoying thing. Takes too long developing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run reports for steering and profitability on the whole bank through MicroStrategy - quite impressive!
We build analytic reports and I think Mstr is the best tool for our purpose.

Microstrategy is actually really easy to use and to build reports to our needs.

Large datasets take a long time to run..

There is nothing that i dislike. However, Documents takes too long to set up

microstrategy is good for identifying trends in data that you normally wouldn't see just looking at a grid if you are using graphs and visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
MS is not good at analyzing large data sets in grid form and then exporting them to excel for further slicing and dicing.. would be nice to have more filters/slicers like excel in the MS app

Yes go ahead and use it. It is built ground up versus the other vendors who buy.

the ease of using microstrategy. plus the ability to govern that data

pretty much like everything. there are times when you are not able to read full name of attribute and metrics.

the speed of analyzing real time reporting for a 24/7 day tv shopping channel with 3 different shifts for every department.
