Good to be with MicroStratgey BI tool, A great tool
What do you like best about the product?
In Memory partition or PRIME feature for faster performance and capability to handle high data. I tried to using this feature for some of the largest cube and found that cube has published time has been reduced to half. The only issue i faced it was consuming a lot of temp space on SQL server .
Data blending is another feature which i an really impressed.

What do you dislike about the product?
R Integration with MicroStrategy and its behavior. In case if we have more than 1 metric in document using R, MSTR generate a seperate call to R for each metric, means if you have 4 metric calling R , it will generate 4 calls to R, impacting performance
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have developed some of the most complex documents for our product some of them related to customer current snapshot , its Behavior and prediction analysis. Since these dashboard / document are based on in-memory cube they fast and gave them complete insight of their data along with past ti present comparision.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MicroStrategy is at its best when it's intended as an enterprise solution, with a good team of developers and administrator.its good for dashboarding.. oustanding tool

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to work with different data source including file import, live DB connection, BIG Data etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions are still available via the Developer tool. Support team take time to really solve the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business analysis and data visualization. It's good tool to implement some proof of concept project quickly

Microstrategy has a great presentation layer that requires minimal work once the warehouse is completed and ins snowflake schema.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Desktop tool should be more integrated with the web tool for ease of development. When designing documents you constantly have to switch between desktop and web to accomplish things.

Very flexible and well-thought architecture, unified metadata across all presentation interfaces (web, mobile, desktop, office, email), nice web interface out of the box and highly customizable.

The ability to rapidly deploy solutions. The Developers are business users and can rapidly create and manipulate Application objects to meet their needs.

Change management. Object manager forces some schema objects to be moved before they are "ready"

What do you like best about the product?
The software is reliable and robust. It's considerably versatile with plug-ins to all manner of databases; MicroStrategy Desktop tool is a great enhancement and a good competitor to Tableau

Level Metrics continue to be confusing to use. There can be a fair learning curve to become familiar with all tools and products on offer

Building a data warehouse for first time. We are seeing it working well with claims data.

One of the fore-runners and likely to offer everything you need from a BI perspective.
While MicroStrategy is not perfect, it is the best BI tool on the market.

It's object oriented metadata. Complex SQL engine and robust security model.

Seems like they are often times trying to cross another thing off the list to say their tool can do it than actually making sure everything else works well

MicroStrategy is our standard BI tool. We have over 20,000 users on it with over 300,000 reports and dashboards accessible across many different subject area's
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't jump in thinking you can develop the most complicated dashboard right out of the gate. Start slow, learn how to build simple reports and projects and expand your ability as you become more comfortable with the tool.

Administration ,Microstrategy support and mstr support web sites(TN's/knowledge base/discussion)

OM is fabulous tool but needs improvement .Please di not scrape it , also no to less free trainings about web customization available officially.

critcal subscription having sales revenue going uptill C level . I love the ease to debug issues in mstr.

a definate try out .Do try usher and mobile . A distinctively ahead in mobile reporting/admin activities support and ease of use.
