Love the Product
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great product that makes it easy to visulize data and make data driven decisions quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had more modeling and predictive AI capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of old manual reporting and processes to save time and add more scailability to our organization.

Reviewing Microstrategy as a Power User
What do you like best about the product?
Interactivity built into dossiers, the chapter/page set up that allows for additional filtering capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having used a different program (Tableau) I wish we had a shared library, and Parameters built into dossiers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data mining and data analysis is easier for sure.
The ability to work with larger amounts of data in a poweruser friendly interface.

MicroStrategy makes it so much easier for us to deliver information to our staff
What do you like best about the product?
We get a lot of requests to create reports and MicroStrategy makes it easy for us to build reports and deliver results to our staff. I'm looking forward to using the new free-form dossier editing to make some great looking reports and to improve the reports that we already have.
What do you dislike about the product?
We inherited a pretty messy dataset and it's been a bit of a struggle to set up our semantic graph. However, we're working the the MicroStrategy team to clean up our dataset and build out our graph.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're currently saving a good amount of time with MicroStrategy. Instead of manually preparing and sending out reports we use MicroStrategy to deliver scheduled reports and provide on-demand reporting.
We're looking forward to expanding those on-demand reports to richer dossiers.

When used right, MicroStrategy is a game-changer
What do you like best about the product?
It is a responsive, clean interface. Makes it very easy to organize data in a way that business users understand. Strong platform for content/report distribution reduces administrative tasks. Incredibly knowledgable and responsive support teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has rough integration of new partner capabilities--the good thing is there are lots of very exciting new functionalities added... but the bad is that sometimes those new features are a little confusing to configure during the initial rollout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been using MicroStrategy to help migrate from a legacy environment where reporting exists as embedded content in production applications. This has caused all sorts of performance and workflow problems throughout the company. MicroStrategy has helped us organize our information and present a consistent view to our business users and clients. Saved time, administrative overhead, and new capabilities in understanding our data.
Why I would recommend MicroStrategy
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very powerful tool that has a lot of capabilities to analyze data. I love the ease of drilling into your data.
What do you dislike about the product?
My frustration is that when exporting to excel it does not carry over formulas or certain formatting. Our users have very specific requirements which forced us to create an excel plug-in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How is Foriegn Aid being applied and managed via missions across the world and is that budget being effectly applied by utlizing performance metrics.

What do you like best about the product?
MicroStrategy is always improving product. MSTR works with customers for solutions and improvment. The product is high quality and professioknal.
What do you dislike about the product?
MSTR certifications are pricey . They are also always changing (and online should mean no hard time frame to be in class). MSTR should have more free videos online for How-To.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some problems we are solving include alert pricing with email distro (we had to push to text vis IT). We are also solving how supply chain costs can be better predicted. And also, we like to use MSTR to manage our visits summary and why there are bots.

I really like the MSTR web. I think it more GUI and its very easy to work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its kind of up to date, one the think I dont see is scroll bar on Dossier. It will be really nice to build Dossier like websites

it could be difficult sometimes to involve people to use the tool as they need some previous training

Very complex architecture, hard for new teams to jump in on given opportuniutes. Education is not comprehenive for new adopters
