Unified communication has transformed our collaboration and consistently boosts project delivery

  • February 08, 2026
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

Zoom Workplace Business has been our cornerstone to our success as an organization, keeping our team connected across the state and nationally. It is one of the best virtual meeting platforms where we use it to hold meetings, annual, weekly, and daily with our clients and our team members. It is very easy to use and has other robust features such as screen sharing where we can share our screen while discussing a certain project. Hence, project management becomes very seamless and smooth.

We can collaborate with our remote and in-office team efficiently while sharing ideas and brainstorming. Zoom Workplace Business is also used for phone calls, meetings, virtual open office hours, team chat, document sharing, and measuring call volume. We also use Zoom Workplace Business for delivery and for large training events both externally and internally. Zoom has been a great contributor to our success, especially in the digital world.

How has it helped my organization?

Zoom Workplace Business has positively impacted my organization by optimizing office experience and hybrid work collaboration, and project management has been on time. We have been able to deliver our projects to our clients on time, and it has also been a time-saving tool. We do not have to meet with our clients face to face. We just have to hop on a video call or audio call through our phone or PCs.

Since we started using Zoom Workplace Business, everything has changed in my organization. We were able to cut our communication cost significantly and gain features we could have only dreamed of prior. The contact center platform is head and shoulders above some of their competitors. This allows our team to quickly assist our customers with their questions and concerns. At time saved and cost, we have been able to cut costs by about 80 percent and improve our productivity by about 70 percent.

What is most valuable?

The best features Zoom Workplace Business offers include screen sharing, clear video and audio, online meetings, large-scale events, call management, mobile apps, unified communication platform, and collaboration.

The feature I find myself using the most is an AI-powered collaboration platform that is used to streamline communication, increase employee engagement, optimize in-person time, and improve productivity. The screen sharing is very effective and a helpful tool where we are able to screen share with our colleagues and discuss different tasks and project management ideas. Collaboration has become very efficient, and remote working has also become efficient and prevalent in my organization. We have been able to save a lot of time using Zoom Workplace Business. It has been a game-changer.

Zoom Workplace Business elevates the experience with Zoom AI Companion included at no additional cost. It is designed to help employees be more productive, collaborate better, enhance their skills, and unlock time savings.

What needs improvement?

Some integration with other products does not work well. There are frequent updates to the interface that can cause user frustration.

One improvement needed for Zoom Workplace Business is the free trial, which is limited to 40 minutes. This limitation could be extended.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Zoom Workplace Business for more than 10 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Zoom Workplace Business is very stable with no lagging even if the internet is somehow slow. It maintains its quality with top-notch video and audio quality.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Zoom Workplace Business allows me to go online to a live meeting with 10 people, 10 participants or more, or even 1,000 participants at webinars and conferences, and it does not lag. It is very scalable.

How are customer service and support?

I would add that customer support, especially the team from Zoom, is very proactive, dedicated, and supportive 24/7. The user interface is very great and user-friendly. Zoom has one of the best customer support globally, very proactive and responsive, very solution-oriented and professional.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used Microsoft Teams. The reason why we switched from Teams to Zoom Workplace Business is because of Zoom Workplace Business call handling, ease of use, meetings, and better contact center integration, which is head and shoulders above Microsoft. Also, the cost of Zoom Workplace Business is much more affordable and cost-effective. It is very easy to use and has reliable, high-quality video and audio compared to Teams.

How was the initial setup?

It is very easy to set up. Everything falls into place the moment you start using Zoom Workplace Business. Your experience will be elevated to phenomenal because it is a game-changer.

What about the implementation team?

We use Amazon Web Services as our cloud provider for our hybrid cloud deployment.

What was our ROI?

The contact center platform is head and shoulders above other competitors. It has allowed our team to quickly assist our customers with their questions and concerns. We are able to cut our communication cost significantly and gain features we could have only dreamed of. Concerns about data breaches and security have improved, so we do not have that concern anymore. We are able to gain more productivity and boost collaboration among team members and clients through the use of Zoom Workplace Business.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing indicates that Zoom Workplace Business is one of the most cost-effective online meeting solutions and virtual meeting solutions with a lot of robust features at our disposal and a very easy-to-use tool.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Zoom Workplace Business, I evaluated other options such as Cisco AnyConnect and GoToMeeting.

What other advice do I have?

A quick specific example of a recent project or meeting where Zoom Workplace Business made a difference for our team is when working on a telephony project, it was possible we reduced the cost as much as we could. Zoom Workplace Business was there to reduce the cost for us, especially because we did not have to meet daily. We just had to use Zoom Workplace Business meetings to discuss and gather the progress of our projects. We were able to complete the project having met only three to four times. It really saved us a lot of time and cost.

Zoom Workplace Business has enabled us to cut our communication and traveling costs significantly and gain features we could have only dreamed of prior to our alternative solution. The scalability of Zoom Workplace Business allows me to go online to a live meeting with 10 people, 10 participants or more, or even 1,000 participants at webinars and conferences, and it does not lag.

My advice to others looking into using Zoom Workplace Business is that it has a great unified communication platform. If you are looking to bring chat, meetings, contact center, and phone systems all under one platform, this is the real deal. It is also very cost-effective, easy to use, and has one of the best customer supports. I am amazed by how cost-effective Zoom Workplace Business is with robust features, and the video and audio quality is top-notch, enhancing collaboration for our clients and team members. I rate Zoom Workplace Business a 9 out of 10.

Webinar workflows have become smoother and now support efficient, professional event delivery

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Zoom Workplace Business is creating professional webinars and running them on the platform.

A concrete example of how I used Zoom Workplace Business for a webinar includes setting it up and connecting it with Marketo, which means the complete participant management runs via Marketo.

What is most valuable?

From my point of view, the best features that Zoom Workplace Business offers include being self-explanatory when set up, making it quite clear and easy to understand, and it runs stably, at least for me.

Most of the time it runs stably; very rarely there is a sync problem.

Zoom Workplace Business positively impacts my company as it is a stable webinar platform that supports us in our daily work area of webinar planning.

The use of Zoom Workplace Business affects my efficiency in webinar planning as it is quite easy and quick to set up.

What needs improvement?

Opportunities for improvement for Zoom Workplace Business include the inability to edit follow-up emails sent via Zoom, as there is standard text and very few options to add extra links or other elements.

I find it a bit confusing when looking for specific reports or things in the interface, where I always have to select whether it is a meeting or a webinar.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Zoom Workplace Business for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In my experience, Zoom Workplace Business is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Zoom Workplace Business is managed via the licensing model, which means I have to request a different license.

How are customer service and support?

I have no experience with customer support for Zoom Workplace Business as I am not in contact with them.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, I used ON24 or something similar before switching to Zoom Workplace Business, which was a global decision I found easier to use.

How was the initial setup?

Zoom Workplace Business is provided to us by the IT department, and as far as I know, it is a cloud-based solution.

What was our ROI?

I cannot say if the investment in Zoom Workplace Business has paid off for my company, as that is evaluated by our central IT department.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I cannot say anything about pricing, setup costs, and licensing of Zoom Workplace Business since it is handled globally for us.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I do not know if any other solutions were evaluated before implementing Zoom Workplace Business, as that was done globally by the IT department.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others considering Zoom Workplace Business is that it is a stable platform that is easy to use and certainly a good decision to implement.

There is no business relationship between my company and the provider of Zoom Workplace Business that goes beyond a normal customer relationship. I gave this review a rating of 9.

Daily team collaboration has become smoother and supports reliable long client meetings

  • January 26, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Zoom Workplace Business is mostly the meetings, daily stand-ups, client calls, and discussion sessions for our company. It is primarily for business purposes.

I can give you a specific example of how I used Zoom Workplace Business in my daily workflow. We had Zoom Workplace Business as our online communication channel, and we used it to have our meeting schedule and daily calls. We also had client meetings on Zoom. Most of the time, we were using Zoom, and we have our calendar synced with Zoom so that any meeting or appointment that has been created gets directly synced up to Zoom. This allows us to attend it directly from our calendar or Zoom account or vice versa.

Our daily stand-ups are scheduled on a recurring basis, and we often join the same Zoom call. That is how it basically works for me.

What is most valuable?

One of the best features Zoom Workplace Business offers is that we have unlimited time for our meeting schedule with no time limitation. Additionally, we can have a workspace and many other features that I haven't explored yet, including shared documents. Zoom Workplace Business has numerous features to provide a team with valuable tools.

Regarding how Zoom Workplace Business has impacted my organization positively, we also had other communication channels such as Teams and Slack, but the video call experience in Zoom was really good and helpful. We also have a recording functionality which is truly helpful. While we have that on other platforms, Zoom makes it similarly easy to implement as that of other communication channels. Since Zoom has a really good streaming quality and works on low latency as well, we prefer to use Zoom over other communication channels for video calling and conferences, although we have other communication channels for text messages.

What needs improvement?

Zoom Workplace Business can be improved in several ways. There are many features that Zoom has provided that I haven't explored yet, but one thing I would appreciate is a messaging channel or portal or file-sharing system. Although it has documentation, I would expect another file-sharing platform where you can store documents. This would help make it a more complete communication channel. Creating different teams or channels for specific people, rather than including the entire organization, would be really helpful. The ability to create a group of channels or communication with specific individuals would be beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Zoom Workplace Business for quite a while now, almost about three to four years. I have been using Zoom on and off depending on the client that I'm working with, but most of the time I'm using Zoom.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Zoom Workplace Business is stable in my experience. I haven't had any experience with outages or major issues. We really had a good, smooth service from Zoom for meetings as well as for communication.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Regarding Zoom Workplace Business's scalability, I think there is some limitation on the number of users. I remember some times when we had company-level town hall meetings, and not every user was able to connect to the Zoom meetings. I'm not sure if it was the bandwidth or the user limit, but there were a couple of times where multiple users had to share a single call instead of joining individually for some conferences or meetings.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't had any experience with customer support for Zoom Workplace Business because I haven't had any major issues that required me to connect to customer support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did previously use different solutions before Zoom Workplace Business. I have used Microsoft Teams and Slack. The preference of using the communication channel depended upon the client that we were working for. If the client had Teams as their communication channel, we used to use Teams, and the same applies for Slack and Zoom. The decision of which communication channel to use was not on our end; it was on the client's end. We always referred to the client for what they were using and what they felt comfortable connecting to.

Before choosing Zoom Workplace Business, I didn't evaluate other options much because it was not in my hands at any time.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with Zoom Workplace Business, especially in terms of smooth meetings. I can say that we had smooth meetings during Zoom calls. However, for time saved and the other metrics, I'm not quite sure because we could have instant messaging and instant connection on any channel of communication that we have, such as Teams or Slack. But for the smooth connection and smooth meeting sessions, I would really say we had smoother meetings.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Zoom Workplace Business is that the licensing, pricing, and setup cost were taken care of by the infrastructure team, so I really haven't had a chance to explore those aspects and we didn't have visibility to those either.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Zoom Workplace Business is that they should give it a try. It's a really good communication platform for conference calls, meetings, daily meetings, client calls, and any sort of communication, audio call, or video call. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Seamless video meetings have increased collaboration and support smooth hybrid work

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Zoom Workplace Business is internal meetings and client meetings. A typical example of how I use Zoom Workplace Business for these meetings is that we agree that a meeting needs to happen, send a calendar invite and attach a Zoom Workplace Business invite link to the calendar invite, and then join the meeting. We oftentimes screen share or record the meeting.

The quality of transcription in Zoom Workplace Business could improve. I wish the quality of the transcription was better.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that we have an enterprise agreement, which is more expensive than we would prefer, but feels reasonable.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate any other options before choosing Zoom Workplace Business.

What other advice do I have?

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Zoom Workplace Business an eight because it is very good but not perfect.

Zoom Workplace Business is deployed in my organization in a hybrid cloud model. It supports remote and hybrid work models in my organization as it is vital. We seamlessly integrate with Slack in addition to Outlook, and there were no integration challenges. I would recommend any business to use Zoom Workplace Business because it just works. My overall review rating for Zoom Workplace Business is 8 out of 10.

What is our primary use case?

Zoom Workplace Business is my team's primary tool for virtual collaboration. We use several breakout rooms where the teams reside to develop their features and handle other work. Unified meetings have simplified scheduling and recording has improved internal collaboration

  • December 02, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

Zoom Workplace Business is used for internal and external meetings. A typical scenario involves integration into calendar invites so that when meeting with a customer or internal stakeholder, a Zoom link is available immediately.

Zoom Workplace Business is particularly handy when scheduling a meeting where people can choose their own time, as it still includes a link for the meeting to have a video call.

What is most valuable?

The best features Zoom Workplace Business offers include the recording function, which makes it easy to export the audio so that it can be shared elsewhere.

When using the recording function, the audio is typically shared internally, though it may happen externally from time to time if approved. The quality and ease of use are good.

It has always been easy to share screens or bring up a keynote that everyone can see very quickly when using Zoom Workplace Business.

Zoom Workplace Business has positively impacted the organization because by using the same solution, you always know that it is going to work. When people were using Slack, HipChat, Teams, or all of the other different varieties of options, it made it challenging to ensure that everyone was on the same page.

What needs improvement?

Zoom Workplace Business can be improved as the AI features have not been used very often, and it would be beneficial to see how they are utilized and the analysis that they can do.

It would be interesting if you could translate into multiple languages easily.

For how long have I used the solution?

Zoom Workplace Business has been used for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Zoom Workplace Business is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

There have never been any issues trying to use Zoom Workplace Business concurrently with hundreds of people, so it has been great in terms of scalability.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for Zoom Workplace Business has not been utilized.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Years ago, several different solutions were used before, but the reason for the change is uncertain. It was a good improvement to use Zoom Workplace Business only.

What was our ROI?

The general impression is that whenever you purchase something from the AWS Marketplace, it is going to be a faster transaction that is more transparent, indicating a return on investment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing, setup cost, and licensing were not negotiated, so those details are uncertain.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

The names of the other options that were evaluated before choosing Zoom Workplace Business have been forgotten as it has been so many years.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Ease of virtual meetings improves collaboration

  • June 09, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I am the investor looking to buy company stock. I am not sure about specific details since I am not an IT person. I have an oil and gas company with 80 people, and we have two IT staff members who use Microsoft Defender. I also have a marketing company, and we use these solutions across all companies.

What is most valuable?

For me, the team meetings are the same. It is easy to use and the quality is good. I have no complaints.

Zoom and team meetings are all good with no complaints.

It is much easier compared to previous solutions. Before these products came out, we used Skype or phone calls, which were not as convenient. With Zoom or Teams, it is very easy to share content. The ability to conduct reviews is beneficial.

What needs improvement?

Nothing is 100% perfect. If I appreciate a product, I typically rate it eight or nine out of ten. The only perfect score of ten I give is to my wife.

Regarding the technical aspects of usage, I think they have a good product currently. As a normal user who occasionally uses it for employee and onsite communication, I have no complaints. It has helped us significantly.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using the solution for approximately six or seven years.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I am not aware of the pricing. My IT staff might know, but I have no information about it.

What other advice do I have?

We use it sometimes for meetings. I work for an energy company.

Both solutions are simple and very easy to use. We sometimes use both solutions as our business associates use both as well.

The implementation was mostly handled by the IT team. It is much easier now compared to previous solutions. When sharing content, both Zoom and Teams work effectively.

My overall rating for this solution is 8 out of 10.

Smooth meetings and easy setup lead to seamless collaboration

  • June 04, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I have worked with SAP but it was for a small amount of time, as I was working at a bank where they were using in-house software.

I use Zoom for meetings, and if it's something such as tools including Windows, Linux, or Zoom for meetings, then I work with those.

I'm not sure about buying licensing from the AWS marketplace or somewhere else because I'm not responsible for it.

I was using mainly Teams, but for some meetings from other customers or parties, we are using Zoom as well.

Regarding Zoom features, I wonder which features you are referring to when asking about breakout rooms.

I am recording my meetings or webinars, and regarding cloud recording, I do that.

Both Teams and Zoom have the same features; I've used Teams and Zoom for meetings, and I sometimes recorded the meetings, which can be done on both.

What is most valuable?

I haven't used breakout rooms, and I'm not aware of it, even though they have functionality where you can separate 100 people into small parties.

I am recording, and it has been great and smooth so far, and I haven't faced any problems.

I thought Zoom doesn't have the feature to save chats after meetings, while Teams allows for document sharing, which I know because in my latest company we were sharing documents through Teams; I didn't use that in Zoom.

What needs improvement?

I would definitely appreciate seeing additional features in Zoom if I had cases that required them.

I don't have any suggestions on what could be done with Zoom to make it even better in the future, as I used it and didn't experience any problems.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Zoom for a minimum of 5 years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

Setting up the application was very easy; it was just two clicks and you're done.

I don't have any idea on what could be done with Zoom to make it even better in the future, as I used it and didn't have any problems.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

No interruptions occurred, and nothing changed even when we had 30 people; it wasn't laggy or interrupting.

I didn't have any problem with Zoom, and overall with Zoom, there are no connection issues, stability, or performance problems.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I had meetings with a maximum of 30 people, but I did not have large-scale meetings with my customers of 100 persons or more.

How are customer service and support?

I have never needed to contact Zoom Technical Support, so I didn't ever need to reach out.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used the free version of Zoom, so I found it inexpensive when considering pricing based on the market.

Setting up the application was very easy; it was just two clicks and you're done.

How was the initial setup?

I actually used both the application and the web version of Zoom for initial setup, but I downloaded the application because it has more features.

Setting up the application was very easy; it was just two clicks and you're done.

It was not difficult because it is easier to set up, so I didn't face any issues at all.

What other advice do I have?

I integrate with Google Calendar when integrating Zoom with Teams, since I am working with Teams. I would rate Zoom an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the best, perfect solution, and 1 is the worst.

Effective communication and file sharing have become seamless

  • June 02, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I belong to the technical side of Oracle technologies, where I use different technologies that are continuously upgrading. The generative AI is also emerging, and I am currently reading about generative AI in Oracle. Regarding BI, I can tell you about the BI publisher which I have used in many different projects for data visualization.

BI publisher is a very strong Oracle tool through which we visualize data from different platforms such as Microsoft and Oracle EBS, ERP of Oracle.

Most of the time, we use Zoom and Microsoft Teams for communication.

I have used Zoom many times for communication with colleagues and to send and receive different files. It is very secure for data transferring in our offices for clients, and it is used for interviews, different meetings, and conferences.

I use Zoom for file transferring, interviews, conferences, online sessions, and training purposes.

I have used breakout rooms once during a training session in my previous office where thousands of people were in the Zoom meeting.

What is most valuable?

The breakout feature is one of the reasons I prefer Zoom.

Most of the time we use the recording feature. Whenever we conduct online classes, sessions, or important meetings, we use the recording button to record everything. After recording, we edit the content and share it with office colleagues or new clients.

What needs improvement?

This section requires clarification.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Zoom for almost 3 years along with Microsoft Teams.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have tried other solutions but haven't found any as good as Zoom. Zoom is the priority because other applications for communication and meetings have tricky and not user-friendly interfaces. When it comes to meetings, sharing data, and conferences, we choose Zoom directly.

What other advice do I have?

I can confirm I'm being contacted from PeerSpot, which is the leading review website for enterprise tech solutions. Some time ago I shared feedback on Oracle Analytics Cloud solutions.

I use this solution for file transferring, interviews, conferences, online sessions, and training purposes.

The price is reasonable. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Zoom a 9.

Screen sharing and breakout rooms enhance team collaboration and daily communication

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My use case for Zoom involves a half an hour meeting that we have daily during which someone shares their screen and we go over the plan for today, what went good in the past day, and various details. Afterwards, I pair with a colleague of mine and we either share screens or I share my screen. We collaborate on tasks that we have using Zoom, but the share screen functionality is a must. If this was not present in Zoom, we definitely wouldn't have used it.

What is most valuable?

I value the chat feature in Zoom as much as the screen share, and whenever we have a meeting, we also have a chat, but it's nowhere near what Slack provides. Slack has way more options such as replying to a thread, but also sending that message as a last message in the chat box.

Breakout rooms in Zoom have helped facilitate more focused group discussions in my virtual meetings because you simply don't have to search for links to join other Zoom meetings. You just have one big call in the morning and afterwards, you split into the breakout rooms. Whenever I'm leaving my current breakout room, I'm returning to the main one, which is convenient because I don't have to search for any link to access it. Whenever I'm looking for someone, I can just browse to the breakout rooms and see whoever is in that room before joining. I don't have to join each and every room to find someone; I directly know where he or she is at.

This helps my focus as you have separate rooms for separate purposes, which is what my organization does. We keep specific rooms for specific purposes based on the name, such as one-on-one rooms prefixed with 'one-on-one' and pairing rooms prefixed with 'pair.' It's just a basic setup, but it's pretty handy.

Zoom has positively impacted my organization because it's essential for communication. Otherwise, we would not communicate the same way. We can see each other, we can hear each other as well. We use it daily for demos and for one-on-ones. It's a tool in our arsenal that is essential. We haven't used Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, so it's hard to compare it to anything else, but we are very happy with Zoom. We see no need to switch from Zoom yet. It fulfills all our requirements, which are pretty standard: just video and audio, and also the breakout rooms.

What needs improvement?

I would definitely want the chat in Zoom to be improved.

I have seen areas of improvement in Zoom regarding the noise suppression setting. Sometimes I talk a bit low pitched and the other person cannot hear me. I'm guessing the noise suppression detects my voice as background noise instead of my actual voice. It might be a setting that I just need to tweak somewhere in the settings window. I haven't had the time to check that out yet. It happens from time to time; it's not crucial, but I check that the other person hears me by asking them if they heard what I just said. It occurs at least once daily, so it's not bothering to me, but to someone who is a bit more sensitive, it may be bothersome.

I find it hard to tell if there has been any return on investment with Zoom because I'm not dealing with the financials of our organization. I guess it helped us because whenever there's an incident at night and people need to synchronize to find out what's going on, they enter Zoom and talk to each other.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have never experienced any drops with Zoom. I did once, but it proved to be my network and not related to Zoom, so it was very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Regarding Zoom's capacity to host large-scale virtual events, it works really fine. I don't think we've ever been more than 40 in one call, but even when we were 40, we could still talk and understand each other. I saw no latency drops or anything related to that. Everything was fine.

I can share my experience with the scalability of Zoom by mentioning that the largest meeting I participated in was around 40 or 50 people. Everything went smoothly, so judging by that, Zoom fulfills the most common necessities.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used similar solutions before Zoom, but it was quite some time ago. I used Microsoft Teams about 2 or 3 years ago. I used Amazon's internal platform called Chime as well.

What other advice do I have?

I do not use Zoom's recording feature during most meetings, but on Fridays, we usually hold a demo called demo day. During the demo, whatever we've been working on for the past week is showcased to our colleagues. We use recording during the demo, but aside from that, we don't really use it. It's just once a week most of the cases.

The recording feature in Zoom hasn't helped in my post-meeting processes because I never replay any of the recordings. Those who are a bit higher up in the organization usually use them to take notes in retrospect, but personally, it didn't help me at all.

I'm not sure if I've integrated Zoom with Slack or Microsoft Teams. Currently, I have integrated Slack with Jira and Confluence, but not with Zoom. I wonder how that works; if I have a meeting on my calendar, will Slack notify me that I should be entering there, or going back to Zoom?

Zoom's security framework has helped my organization ensure communication privacy and data protection, but I'm just a regular user. If it helps, we've never had anyone from outside our organization accidentally join our rooms.

I switched to Zoom for daily use simply because I changed jobs and that's how the setup was already laid out for my new team. It wasn't a personal choice; it just happened given the context.

I have used documents or manuals for Zoom once when I searched for how to stop the camera from following me around. Apparently, there is this option called 'main stage,' and if you enable it, then whenever you move around, the camera on your MacBook zooms in on your face. This option is no longer easily accessible; I cannot find it anymore. The setting should be in the video settings, but it's not. It is somewhere, but I can hardly find it. I changed it a month ago and now I can no longer see where it is.

My overall rating for Zoom is 9 out of 10.
