What do you like best about the product?
I like the Veeam Data Platform for its ease of use and support, which makes a big difference. The user experience (UX) is great, making onboarding new employees seamless. Also, the initial setup was pretty easy.

I use Veeam Data Platform for disaster recovery. It helps keep our data safe against cyber attacks. The platform is easy to use, and onboarding new employees is seamless, with great support.
Rock-Solid Data Protection, Fast Recovery
What do you like best about the product?
I like Veeam Data Platform the most because it provides fast recovery and strong ransomware protection with immutable backups. The simple, centralized management keeps all backups reliable and easy to restore. Integrating Veeam with VMware and Active Directory makes backup faster, more flexible, and easier to manage. The console is so simple, and the configuration steps are clear and easy, with everything integrating smoothly without much complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Veeam Platform could improve by making large scale backups and restore faster and simplifying some of the configuration steps specially in complex environments.

Veeam Data Platform secures backups, protects, and enables quick recovery of our data, solving issues of data loss, downtime, ransomware attacks, and slow recovery. It provides fast recovery, strong ransomware protection with immutable backups, and simple management.

What is most valuable?
Veeam Data Platform has Veeam Enterprise Manager as well as Veeam ONE as valuable features, which allow us to generate various kinds of reports that are required for the customer.
Instant VM Recovery is a good feature of the high-speed recovery features in Veeam Data Platform, and Continuous Data Protection (CDP) is also a good feature.
Ransomware protection is a good feature added in Veeam Data Platform from version 12 onwards, and the ability to create immutable repositories is also a good feature in Veeam.
The analytics part of Veeam Data Platform is a good solution because I have worked on various backup technologies such as EMC NetWorker and NetBackup. However, I have not used the analytical parts currently but will check it out.
Streamlining processes as well as saving money are benefits that Veeam Data Platform provides for the end user, as it allows for application-aware backups and database backups without the need for various kinds of licenses that other backup software requires. Veeam offers socket-based licenses, instance-based licenses, and capacity-based licenses, which is a great feature.
What needs improvement?
Based on my experience, it is very difficult to suggest what Veeam Data Platform can make better, as every feature is included. However, AI should be integrated to enhance troubleshooting processes for failing backups. I believe it should provide error codes and solutions in the failure notifications.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working on Veeam Data Platform for the last six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I can say the stability of Veeam Data Platform is almost 8 to 9, as the cluster functionality was not there in earlier platforms such as version 12, but is provided in version 13.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate the scalability part of Veeam Data Platform 10 out of 10 because we have the ability to scale out the product at any time with scale-out backup repositories and can add licenses as needed.
How are customer service and support?
I would rate the technical support from Veeam 6 out of 10 because I have faced difficulties due to response time and quality of support.

It is a simple initial setup process for Veeam Data Platform, especially compared to other backup software.
What other advice do I have?
I am only using the automation features in Veeam Data Platform to generate automatic reports through Veeam ONE.
We are currently using Microsoft Azure for cloud support in Veeam Data Platform, as most of the clients are going for it.
I would rate this product overall a 9 out of 10.

I feel that the reporting capabilities of Veeam Data Platform could be improved. The layout should be clearer, particularly with regards to the filters needed to review backup trends. This aspect seems somewhat unintuitive and could be more visually streamlined to enhance usability.

Backup all VMs on V-Center and backup copy to Azure storage. It's easy to deploy, manage and troubleshoot
