Veeam Customer since v6
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is great because they always deliver consistent backups that are easily transferrable to other storage devices and other Veeam backup servers. I also appreciate that they have the community editions of their software so even the smallest organizations can take advantage of enterprise class backup & recovery solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, I have never had a bad experience using the product line. I really have nothing bad to say about Veeam in general. Their tech support staff has always been very eager to assist with questions too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using Veeam since version 6 and they were the only solution that offered easy backup and recovery for both Hyper-V and VMware virtual machines at the time.
Best Product in recent memory
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of Veeam is what sold us. It can do anything, with most any hardware. The product is very easy to use and configure. The premium platform comes with DR orchestration as well and that was another selling point for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is still a new purchase for us, so we have yet to encounter something that we have not liked. Maybe the need for a 3rd party device to do immutable backups. But that can be overcome by doing your own Linux repo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the need for VMWARE Site Recovery Manager. We no longer need licenses for that, with the built in DR orchestrator. It is also solving our previous lack of immutable backups.

M365 backup is helpful to backup using Veeam, setup was very fast and works good

What do you like best about the product?
We use it for backing up office 365 objects. This is one of our best selling products as a cloud service provider. We also use it for sql backups too
What do you dislike about the product?
If Veeam could have a tenant portal for backups, it would be great. We are a cloud service provider with hosted VMs. We use veeam to backup these vms, now if our customers request for a portal to view their backups, we dont have one as veeam currently doesnt support it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Veeam ONE to caculate bandwidth sizing for any DRaaS projects. This is vital to us before we even sign any contracts with the customer. The Veeam ONE suite is a great tool for monitoring and reporting

I really like the new compatibility with Proxmox

The upgrade process is always very error-prone

There simply isn't anything out there as good as Veeam Backup & Replication
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam isn't very complex to set up or manage; it's pretty affordable for medium sized businesses (30+ employees), and their technical support has always been outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The use of bombastic language in naming their product is the only thing I am not too keen on. But on the other hand, they fully deserve the use of superlatives with a product range as good as theirs. There also used to be regular weekly updates emailed by the guy named Gostev that I sorely miss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam helps me keep our business resilient by allowing me to take regular, automated, and hassle-free backups of our critical IT infrastructure and restore them lightning-fast without our end users being affected or even aware of the process. It protects our physical and virtual server fleet with a rock-solid range of backup solutions and provides an ever-increasing number of valuable tools to make my life as a sysadmin easier.
Excellent Product
What do you like best about the product?
The reports generated by the tool, the monitoring, and the alert emails it performs for the configured infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't found any items that I dislike about the tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Backup & Replication are great to backup and recovery virtual enviroments and the most common system operations and databases, offer replication and charback to cloud, the ransomware preotection is good

Veeam Backup & Replication are a rellative new backup and recovery tool and dont offer compabilitie with legacy platforms, now incorporate taoe support and are better

Veeam Backup & Replication help to haved a backup and recovery tools and help to can backup vmware enviroments and some sql sever databases on line, offer granular recovery
Veeam is an outstanding backup software
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam makes the backup process quite simple. Easy to configure and pickup without advanced knowledge ahead of time. You can also get more advanced with the configuration and use remote repositories and replication to backup the data to different sites and to disk for air gapped backups.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recent change in licensing model gives you more versatility since it switched to machine count instead of host, but frankly it appears to have been a cash grab more than anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize Veeam to do full server backups that we can replicate between our data centers. We are able to make these immutable to help protect against ransomware, and we are also able to copy these to disk so we can store these in air-gapped setup for another layer of protection.
