The data catalog we needed
What do you like best about the product?
The user experience is perfect, I finally have a place to view and understand my data in a central place for all my team. It has saved us days of work and we see the value everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
No much to report, it's honestly been easy to set up and maintain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Viewing and understanding our data in a central place, rather than having scattered knowledge all spread out through our analytics team.

Great tool, easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Data Lineage has been very valuable to my team. Discovering where errors originate from have saved us a lot of time debugging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing sticks out. The tool does the job we want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often pipelines can be messy and convoluted. Castor helps us understand the full history of transformations pinpoint where something has gone wrong.
Great Catalog and lineage tool
What do you like best about the product?
As a Castor user, I love being able to instantly find my assets and understand exactly how the data is organized within my company. We wouldn't be able to survive without it nowadays. With a click, I can understand the complete lineage of tables and views - even at the column level.
On top of that, Castor provides lots of useful features to quickly understand the data, such as a powerful search engine, or the ability to request documentation and access.
The best part is that it's all automated, Castor works behind the scenes and spares us a lot of documentation effort.

Nothing really, everything works like a charm.

Castor helps me to understand where the data comes from for specific tables and columns.

Super cool Data Catalog, cool UI, very useful for newcomers
What do you like best about the product?
The use case tackled in the first place is highly interesting and Castor succeed in providing it in a nice UI, with cool features that aims at reducing the human effort in filling in the documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's yet a very recent product and I kind of miss some feature either for filling in the documentation or sharing knowledge to other company members. But I'm sure it's come soon !

Castor help us in reading through the data and have a visual representation of the data lineage. It also helps in fulfilling this documentation and sharing it across the company.

- No easy to get data about internal usage of the catalog

A great and combinations of technical experience people are helping to solve the technical issues very effectively
Does what it says, says what it does : Find & Understand your Data
What do you like best about the product?
With Castor, I can find the relevant data for my analysis in a few clicks. Before that, I had to ask the data engineering team. It was bothering them & it often took 2/3 days before they answered. I am working remotely in another timezone which makes it even harder to get the right information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Castor team is really responsive & worked to add the missing features to the product within weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Castor my data warehouse was really hard to navigate. People were asking a lot of questions on Slack. When a dashboard broke, I had no idea what happened. Castor helped me with all the problems above. Now, I have a powerful search engine to search based on popularity & filter based on owners, tags etc.
I can identify broken pipelines with the data lineage.
I can reduce the number of Slack messages because people can consult the data documentation that was generated automatically by Castor.

What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to configure and set up for streaming to multiple locations
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to find much wrong. The price is good and easy to use.

It has really streamlined the stream process and does so at an affordable price
