Decent software, abysmal customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is good and has actually improved over the course of a year since we started using Vanta. The templates and integrations provided by Vanta certainly made the process of SOC 2 certification easier to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had utterly horrible experiences with the sales teams, account reps, and billing. I was locked out of my account for nearly a month when we started our subscription - it took the support team WAY too long to resolve.
After I regained access, I was told by my first account rep (I've been through at least 3) that they could adjust our billing cycle to reflect the time I *actually* gained access to the account.
This issue is still yet to be resolved, and I go 2-3 weeks in between hearing from the Vanta team on the matter.
Really, really awful experience here.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta provides helpful structure (checklists, tests, and integrations) to create a clear path to certification (SOC 2 in our case)
Buyer Beware!!
What do you like best about the product?
They seemed easy to use at first, but then lost documents and couldn't explain where they went.
What do you dislike about the product?
They charged me thousands of dollars without permission for renewal. They were told I wasn't going to renew and charged me anyway, then claimed I didn't notify them I would not be renewing in time (which they say is 30 days before the end of the first year contract). This, after losing documents. I would not recommend them, and consider them a risk to do business with. They also made it very difficult to get ahold of them. No one had phone numbers in their email signature - something you only really realize when you need something. Also, no phone number on their web site as of the time of this review. I'll be doing a chargeback and fighting them. Wish me luck - and choose someone else.

Was supposed to help with security posture, but lost documents, so that didn't really go well for us. They could not located the documents that were missing.
Best tool for preparing security certifications
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is very easy to use, and allows you to be guided step by step on your way to one or more safety certifications.
Vanta not only allows you to become certified, but also to maintain your level of security.
Integration with the various elements of the IS can be simple, but it can also be more complex, depending on the type of integration. On the other hand, even when integration isn't straightforward, the documentation provided by Vanta makes this stage easy to manage.
Vanta has become the main tool I use to manage my company's security. I use it every day.

Vanta allows me to implement and maintain my company's security in line with our security certifications. This allows me to validate the company's technical security through the compliance approach.

What do you like best about the product?
I was initially overwhelmed by the thought of managing our cybersecurity compliance. Enter Vanta! The automation features are a game-changer. They handle repetitive tasks like policy management and risk assessments, freeing up my team's time for strategic initiatives. Highly recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
While Vanta is great for streamlining compliance, I sometimes wish it offered more granular control over certain automated tasks. But overall it is hard to find things to dislike about Vanta. The customer support is always helpful if you have a question on how to acheive the ruslt you are looking for.

With all Information Technology fields, including cybersecurity, automation is every team members solution to focusing on business directives rather than spending time with things like data entry and periodic tasks driven by compliance.
Vanta is Excellent
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is a fantastic tool for keeping track of all the processes that require our attention, it greatly facilitates assistance, saves us time, and helps keep the controls OK.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to add something to Vanta to improve it, it would be the communication between organizations, and secondly, to make Vanta as a monitoring application a bit more stable in terms of failures or errors in device synchronization.

it helps us keep all the documentation and reports up to date, thanks to this important tool our organization complies and has passed SOC 2 Type 1 audits.
Working to be a one-stop shop for security and compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta thoroughly integrates with all of our information assets to help automate our security and compliance program and gives us a continuously updated picture of our security and compliance posture. It's very easy to add new data sources. In the two years we've been using Vanta, they've added several new modules and are really working to become a one-stop shop for security and compliance processes. At the same time, the platform remains easy to use even with all the new features. The customer success team has been very responsive to our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta's acquisition of Trustpage and subsequent integration of Trustpage's features into Vanta wasn't communicated particularly well and the migration path for moving data out of Trustpage into Vanta proper resulted in a fair amount of duplicate work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a cybersecurity start-up, customers trust us to be good stewards of their data. The ability to quickly demonstrate our compliance with appropriate frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) has been critical to alleviating any concerns customers may have had about our security and compliance posture. In addition, the ease of deployment, integration, and use frees up our team to focus on other security and privacy projects.
Very smooth and productive approach to compliance
What do you like best about the product?
The integations and automations in place! They definitely allow the team to focus on what's being trigger and plan a fix for it. Highly recommend if you're going after a compliance certification such as ISO or SOC

So far its been smooth to us! The more automations you add, some heavily load automations might take a few minutes to update what's need to be updated but its worth it

Productivity for sure! Without the system, it would've taken us a lot of time to map out what needs to get done. Our productivity and effeciency is all-time high
Makes a painful compliance process much easier
What do you like best about the product?
It made the end to end process of obtaining SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 much easier. The templates particularly were very helpful
