Simplify the Evidence Collection, Kill Many Birds with One Stone
What do you like best about the product?
I like the common controls library and the cross mapping to various frameworks. The really helps out companies that have regs in various jursidictions or operate under several frameworks. You can really be audit ready all the time if your evidence owners are on top of their uploads.
Additionally, there are varios modules such as risk management and policy approvals that you can you in other areas of your enterprise.

What do you dislike about the product?
The access review module is okay but it's limited when compared to point solutions. The inability to perform a managerial review of user accounts feels like it's just checking the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The constant manual nagging of evidence owners during a small audit window. With Vanta, I'm able to assign Tests and let the system do the nagging in bulk. I only need to step in if we are down to the wire.

Vanta gave us clarity
What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful for our situation is that Vanta gave us instant clarity into where we stand for compliance, security posture management. We are a small cloud-native startup and Vanta was quick to get us up and running.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to experience the linking with Auditors but we really did our due diligence and many partners and CISO peers were very positive about Vanta's Audit network.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a cloud-native platform that uses many SaaS providers. Vanta solved our visibility gap and allowed us to quickly see security provides for other non-critical SaaS tools we have.
Faster and better than I expected
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta had great service, and helped to quell our concerns around Soc 2 and timing. Their customer service team was super responsive, and any time the platform wasn't clear on something, getting clarification was a matter of minutes. Our customer success representative, Jarrod, was incredibly helpful, patient, and kind.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the platform mostly very usable, but there were a few controls and monitors that could have been clearer. There was also some confusion about billing, but again, everyone on the team was helpful in getting these things cleared up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to get our SOC audit done, and were dreading it - Vanta made things much easier than we expected. There are a lot of checkboxes to check and items to get done - everything was broken down point by point and made as easy as possible.
Amazing experience and considerable time saving
What do you like best about the product?
The path to follow is very clear. The interface is beautiful and uncluttered. The tool makes compliance a real pleasure! I haven't tried any other products, but I wouldn't change my mind because of the very fast and quality service (from sales to customer experience to technical support).
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I didn't like. There are potential feature additions, but that already seems to be in the Roadmap. If there could be more training offered to employees through the Vanta security training program, it would allow for greater integration and the use of fewer tools!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance with existing standards is a demanding and constantly evolving process. Even if certification is achieved, the most important thing is the evaluation and continuous improvement of the system in place. Vanta therefore enables you to distribute the workload between employees, to obtain certification more efficiently, and to ensure that monitoring is carried out year-round by the right resources.
An Indispensable Compliance and Security Partner
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's two greatest strengths are its platform's ability to expose continual monitoring for all aspects of your compliance journey and, most importantly, a dedicated guide who can help you navigate it. As a small business, we have limited resources available to focus extensively on finding and monitoring compliance concerns. Vanta makes determining "what you need to monitor" and "how to implement the monitoring" an extremely straightforward process. Vanta also provides a dedicated account manager who, in my experience, can help demystify the end goal of your compliance efforts and help prioritize what you need to do next. I would estimate the time we've saved by partnering with Vanta in the hundreds of hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
The nature of Vanta's platform is that it attempts to provide a "best practice" approach to achieving your compliance goals but must do so without knowing much of the nuances of your particular business and business architecture. Once we connected our supported infrastructure partners to Vanta via their Integrations, I'd say Vanta was about 85% spot on with its recommendations on how to start or improve our monitoring. The other 15% of Vanta's recommendations did not apply or work for our systems as-is, and in some cases, we turned off the Vanta monitoring and had to create a workaround. In the end, however, this wasn't a massive issue since our account manager and our auditor could answer our questions regarding that 15%.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta demystifies the jungle of compliance, especially for companies like ours, where our compliance resources (especially within IT) are minimal. Vanta gives you prescriptive guidance on obtaining your compliance goals while also providing continual monitoring to help keep you compliant.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta plays a vital role in our company by automating documentation and tests for SOC2, HIPAA and US-Data-Privacy compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm unsure if it is a security setting, but I cannot delete users if created by mistake or double creation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of several compliance frameworks alerting on missing/outdated documentation.
Plenty of alerts on cloud resources regarding vulnerabilities and oncoming SLAs.

Great toolset to assist in achieving regulatory compliance.
What do you like best about the product?
Puts all of the required tools and frameworks in a single place to allow auditors and management to verify and prove compliance with a variety of regulatory frameworks (ISO, SOC, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little difficult to get all of the components, documents and controls uploaded and updated as required. Information owners have to be administrators rather just being set as the owner of the the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently in observation for achieving SOC2 type 2 compliance. Some of our customers desire us to have this certification, so it is important for business.

Vanta helped us get SOC 2 type 2 compliant in record time.
We've also used it to be GDPR compliant, and now it's been helping us with ISO certification.

Nothing at this point! Works extremely well and our CSM has been great whenever we needed anything.

Vanta is helping us get all the right compliance certifications in record time, and close our deals faster.

Although we have not had a bad experience, we did not have a helpful agent at one point of our work with Vanta. Overall, we do like the person we have now and another one we had prior.
