Seamless Compliance Management with Vanta
What do you like best about the product?
I use Vanta for certification compliance for SOC2, HIPAA, and more. I appreciate knowing all the controls I need to have in place and the ease of managing multiple frameworks. The automated tests make it so much easier than doing it manually. I like that it covers multiple compliance frameworks and is relatively easy to use. Starting with SOC2, I was able to progress significantly with HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO27001, completing HIPAA quickly and making a huge step forward with GDPR. The initial setup was relatively easy, and I got it running quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The percentage of completion on new frameworks does not really show accurately until the framework is actually activated. They do mention this. The percentage complete on new frameworks should be the same before and after the frameworks are turned on/off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta to manage compliance for SOC2, HIPAA, and more. It helps me know all the necessary controls, manage multiple frameworks easily, and share overlapping evidence. The automated tests simplify the process compared to manual work.
Comprehensive Compliance Tracking with Effortless Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I like the number of integrations that Vanta has. It seems to connect to most things we use. The UI is nice and usable. The integrations help auto-detect things we've created, like AWS databases or new components, making sure we have the right tests in place and alerting us if we don't.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we work through our compliance stuff with our auditing company, there's some views that get kinda confusing between the compliance view and then there's, like, not links that click over correctly to the normal Vanta user view. Sometimes there's other pages like vulnerabilities that they link in kind of weird ways. That could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta for ops tracking in one location, access reviews, and compliance reporting. It alerts us to vulnerabilities or failing tests we need to fix, making compliance management smoother.
Streamlined GRC Management with Intuitive Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I like Vanta mostly for its easy-to-use interface. The vendor management piece is particularly noteworthy as it allows us to track vendors in a centralized area and conduct security reviews as part of our procurement process. Setting up Vanta and working on the framework is easy, especially with the ability to manage controls via the 'test' area, which makes starting our compliance journey straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Security questionnaires still need improvement - there are times where it doesn't understand question context. E.g., OpenAI is different to ChatGPT but it doesn't understand the difference. The interface is still a little clunky and you can't bulk approve easily - I would suggest a shift + down to select multiple questions and approve. Another issue is the universal search in the questionnaire Knowledge Base - you need to be VERY specific on what you want. If you don't write it how the search wants you will not find what you are looking for.

What do you dislike about the product?
When an auditor flags a control or a piece of evidence, we have to upload the updated evidence again instead of being able to update the current version. and most important it's very expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps unify and keep all the documents and evidence required for the auditor up to date.
Effective Help for Regulatory Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the AI integrated into Vanta because it helps review my policies and compliance. I also appreciate the tracking the tool provides me. Another important aspect is being able to see the progress of our objectives to maintain the system. The guidance that helps me detect GAPS within my policies is also something I value greatly. Additionally, the initial setup was quite easy and intuitive. I would definitely give it a 10 and recommend it to a friend or colleague.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find it difficult to clearly understand which controls I am dealing with, especially with SoC 2. When I receive a notification, I find it a bit complicated to find it or associate it with any available control. I think it could be improved, in the end I find it, but sometimes it takes me a bit to reach the controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps me a lot in the monitoring and maintenance of the frameworks and detects gaps in my policies and tools, continuously improving.

Vanta automates the manual work involved in preparing for audits like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR. Instead of manually collecting screenshots and evidence, Vanta integrates with your tools to do it automatically.

Improve the aspects related with reports, specially test reports

it automates evidence collection, Vanta significantly reduces the time it takes to become "audit-ready." Companies can often achieve compliance in weeks rather than months.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Vanta provides an easy overview of the control framework and makes test evidence collection straightforward. The audit onboard and console are also really easy to use, both for me and the editor. It's incredibly convenient that the system collects evidence and tests on the fly and through APIs, and it continuously monitors my current status. The initial setup was very easy, and the customer success team was very supportive throughout the process, helping build the identity compliance framework and onboard all the employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Vanta could provide much easier API integration for custom integrations. Also, it would be great if it could collect all the data from vendors in a smarter way, maybe using AI to gather initial public data automatically.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Vanta makes ISO management easy for those without ISO experience. The system nicely guides you through the process. It also helps us cut our ISMS management time significantly by streamlining the process and offering help on points needing action. Vanta's AI is a really helpful tool, assisting us in drafting policies that we might have struggled to start and advising on adjustments tailored to our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think a single point place of action would help. Outstanding documents/policies/actions could all be stored in one place. For example, owners of controls and documents, rather than having to work through them, could all be stored in one area. Also, it would be good to see a training dashboard so we can easily see where people are falling behind, rather than having to find the specific control to then access the logs.

Vanta streamlines our ISO 27001 certification process, cuts ISMS management time, and guides those without ISO experience through the process. Its AI helps draft policies and offers advice, making it easier to manage documentation and security training.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Vanta is easy to use and very collaborative, which helps save time. I appreciate the way it automates part of the accreditation process for ISO 27001 compliance. The ability to share tasks and clearly lay them out in line with the process, along with the approval process, is very helpful. The initial setup was very easy, taking our head of ops just two days to complete. Overall, I'm impressed with how Vanta streamlines compliance tasks.
