What do you like best about the product?

It has its share of bugs in the UI and finer-grained control of exceptions would be appreciated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company needs to be SOC2 compliant and Vanta helped us getting there

Good product with easy onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I compared several tools prior to purchasing Vanta.
I really believe the UX is much simpler to use then the competitors. The way it's structured and organized just makes sense to me.
Furthermore I like ease of use and integration into our eco system.
The onboarding team has also been very proactive and helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this time. The product works just as advertised. No surprises
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to get ISO, SOC and GDPR compliant in a structured and quick fashion without paying for expensive consultants.
Excellent end-to-end solution, but work needs to be done
What do you like best about the product?
The upside of Vanta is that it's relatively easy to use, which makes compliance much more organized than we had before using Vanta. It gives us a bird's eye view of all tasks that require attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things can be confusing, it's hard to determine which tab to click in the portal, and it's sometimes challenging to delegate specific tasks to people and even designate someone as a person or a non-person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is the go-to solution for compliance. It's helping us to a) follow the rules of the road in regard to legal questions, but also b) to build trust between us and our clients.

Easier to keep oll of the required documentation in a single place

Nothing to dislike, everythinbg works well.

An altogether good compliance platform
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's Trust report is really nice. I like the clean modern look making it easy to find everything. The ability to only see issues applicable to the module you are working on now is excellent. The risk register makes you really do a comprehensive risk assessment. Policies are clear and easy to edit.
What do you dislike about the product?
The asset inventory needs to be fixed to include asset criticality classification. Vanta should not automatically add new instances created in AWS as part of the scope. Scoping in general is not so user friendly. I wish the access reviews and vendor questionnaires wouldn't have to be paid for separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me keep track of all the controls needed for our compliance. I am able to rely on Vanta to ask me for all the necessary documentation making me feel prepared for the audit.

Vanta is an instrumental tool in helping my organization maintain compliance and being able to provide auditor-friendly evidence to show compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
When integrations break, it sometimes makes things harder to maintain and adds more manual work.

Vanta is making manual work easier and allowing us to automate as many compliance tasks as possible.
Vanta is very pricey for what it is.

Soc2 in general is a joke, it's a hurdle you must jump through to seem 'legit'. Vanta makes the compliance process pretty simple, however For 11 K a year or whatever they're charging, it's too much. Other services are quite a bit cheaper that should offer the same quality of tooling.
We're a bit stuck with Vanta just because I can't imagine wasting anymore time on this soc 2 nonsense. Know that whatever tool you chose you're going to be with for a while just because the onboarding process takes a while to get things setup.

It's expensive for what it is. Go with the cheapest thing you can find that automates the reports for your soc 2 auditor. Find an auditor who's easy and cheap.

SOC2 made easy for someone with no compliance experience
What do you like best about the product?
The Vanta team has been kind, accommodating, and patient with us, and giving as much/as little help as we request. They've been great partners throughout our SOC2 compliance process. The platform is intuitive, easy to use, and integrates with nearly every tool we use. As the project manager of our company's SOC2, it's been easy to identify the steps and delegate out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SOC2 process is very unique and tailored to the company executing the compliance framework. I wish Vanta were able to give more direct "advice" since we are new to a lot of the topics around SOC2, but I understand that many of these decisions are things we have to decide on our own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps us understand all the distinct steps that are required to achieve SOC2, connects us with an auditor partner, and does a lot of the pre-work and thinking for us. It means we can achieve SOC2 compliance in a fraction of the time and make the process a lot more accessible and easy to complete.

Getting all in the same place.
Before having Vanta we need to collect all the information. Now we have it on the same place and we can monitoring.

Vanta software has made our compliance journey a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
Our favorite feature is being able to pull examples for all the required documents/policies. It makes the process much easier. We used Practical Assurance when we first started, and it was not user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if the document samples would automatically pick up the company name and branding. It's not a deal breaker but would be speed things up!
