Streamlines Auditing and Cuts Manual Work
What do you like best about the product?
It greatly assists with our auditing process and removing a lot of the manual labour that would normally occur during the observation window and allows us to self monitor that we are on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The auditing process seems to change every year even though it is being performed by their partners. There is still a lot of room for interpretation on the auditor side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automates work that would actually have to performed manually. The time it saves can actually be quantified.

Sometimes it’s hard to find the “tasks” section—it feels buried, and it doesn’t always seem to be in the same place.

I use it for HIPAA and SOC2 compliance.

Comprehensive Compliance Tracking with Effortless Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I like the number of integrations that Vanta has. It seems to connect to most things we use. The UI is nice and usable. The integrations help auto-detect things we've created, like AWS databases or new components, making sure we have the right tests in place and alerting us if we don't.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we work through our compliance stuff with our auditing company, there's some views that get kinda confusing between the compliance view and then there's, like, not links that click over correctly to the normal Vanta user view. Sometimes there's other pages like vulnerabilities that they link in kind of weird ways. That could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta for ops tracking in one location, access reviews, and compliance reporting. It alerts us to vulnerabilities or failing tests we need to fix, making compliance management smoother.
Effortless SOC 2 Compliance with Minor Glitches
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Vanta tracks everything and anything, from background checks to policies, to engineering requirements and everything in between. It's very valuable because it organizes us and makes what could be an extremely tedious process much simpler. I also appreciate that we can add our consultant who helps us prep for SOC 2, as well as the auditor when it's time for their review, which makes the process very easy. Plus, the initial setup was pretty easy, and I don't remember any friction during onboarding.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some glitches, for example when employees go on leave, the system glitches, or when people leave/terminations, there is also a glitch. I think from what I recall, we always have to do some sort of workaround because Vanta doesn't properly put them as 'on leave', or doesn't remove them from the system properly once the person is terminated. So it's just extra steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta organizes our SOC 2 preparation, tracking everything from background checks to policies, and simplifies collaboration with our consultant and auditor, saving us an immense amount of time.
Streamlined GRC Management with Intuitive Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I like Vanta mostly for its easy-to-use interface. The vendor management piece is particularly noteworthy as it allows us to track vendors in a centralized area and conduct security reviews as part of our procurement process. Setting up Vanta and working on the framework is easy, especially with the ability to manage controls via the 'test' area, which makes starting our compliance journey straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Security questionnaires still need improvement - there are times where it doesn't understand question context. E.g., OpenAI is different to ChatGPT but it doesn't understand the difference. The interface is still a little clunky and you can't bulk approve easily - I would suggest a shift + down to select multiple questions and approve. Another issue is the universal search in the questionnaire Knowledge Base - you need to be VERY specific on what you want. If you don't write it how the search wants you will not find what you are looking for.

Should have better tests

Organizes the work. Converts long, unspecific documents into actionable items

Awesome tools for centralizing SOC2 and HIPAA documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
When an auditor flags a control or a piece of evidence, we have to upload the updated evidence again instead of being able to update the current version. and most important it's very expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps unify and keep all the documents and evidence required for the auditor up to date.
Strong Integrations and a Solid Trust Center Experience
What do you like best about the product?
As a first time compliance owner, I was happy to have Vanta walk me through all of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Huge overlap in integrations. Shouldn't be able to connect two integrations for same purpose.
- Inability to own / control trust center organizations logo.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't want compliance to be a daily / weekly thing for me. I use Vanta to keep an eye out for me and I only act when needed.
Facilitates SOC2 Compliance, But Access Issues Persist
What do you like best about the product?
I like Vanta's public page because it proves certification. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty good, and I appreciate the great integrations with other software tools, which are essential for checking cybersecurity compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I don't have access to the platform anymore. We couldn't access the platform yesterday.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta to handle SOC 2 compliance by gathering all the paperwork and setting up the framework.
