How has it helped my organization?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has helped our company with perimeter security and securing our employees from wherever they are working. It's strengthening security as it is able to stop phishing attacks on Office 365 accounts and block possible account hijacking. It is also responsible for detecting malicious files in both OneDrive and SharePoint. This makes the product more robust and also gives us visibility into suspicious access, and provides the areas from which they are trying to enter. With this other feature, it provides more integrity to our company.
What is most valuable?
We have found several features that are very valuable. One of them is the integration with Office365. In addition to that, it is fast and has a very simple, easy integration. In addition to that, it integrates with other Office 365 products. The false positives are minimal, almost nil. That is very important since it will not generate an absurd amount of emails. The functionality of the tool is very easy to configure and manage. The platform is friendly and makes its integrations even more, so this tool is very efficient.
What needs improvement?
Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration presents a problem similar to the other Check Point tools that it was able to manage, and that is the access to its administrative functions. Since the portal to the management and administration entry sometimes has performance problems and takes a long time to respond to what has arrived, the handling of the tool is difficult.
It presents problems in the management of technical support since the SLA is not optimal, causing delays. This means that security problems may arise since it does not provide a quick response or a concrete solution.

I have been using it for approximately 4 years.

The tool stability is very good.

The scalability that the solution presents is very good. It is quite scalable.

The experience has not been very pleasant since we have opened cases and they take too much time to respond or schedule a meeting even to provide a solution.

Like all security tools, they are expensive tools. However, Check Point competes in the market and its accessibility is good, so paying for a tool that provides security is worth it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
The company has already had several Check Point tools. For this reason, this tool was implemented to keep in line with the same brand and hopefully not present us with problems if we implement another one.
What other advice do I have?
The only advice is to improve the technical support for your users since it is not very efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
Avanan is perfect in every way we see it. It's been a great tool for our business providing a next level security over our email and cloud services. It was quite easy to setup the tool and deployment took less time than expected. It's been working as a gateway between our inbox and some extreme threats available on internet. Now with the collaboration with checkpoint it's has become even more powerful than before in every aspect.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nota lot to dislike about such a powerful tool. Sometimes it feels that it starts behaving more protective and blocks even then important mails, sometimes treat even a frequent mailer as spam, the parent company should work on these issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan Cloud Email Security has been proving a safe passage and works as a shield between our inbox and external threats. It filters all such security threats and prevents our email environment from malware and pishing attacks. Recently it's collaboration with another security giant checkpoint is making it more powerful than even with every new updates. Another use case of the software for us is the safe file sharing over cloud through encrypted format that makes it sure to readable to the one we intended to. This is one of the main primary used tool for our organisation and we consider it keep going for the same in coming future.

The monthly pricing per user could be a little better. This would help users try all the features for some time before switching to the annual plan. However, the product is good, one wouldn't regret using it.

I like how its easy to install avanan, for me installation, configuration and deployment took a few minutes. I like also that it intergrates withnour o365 suute well . I have noticed that a few times it has quarantined or flagged emails that are threat free and that has led tobus missing some important information and breakdown of communication. Though am still trying to do further configurations to address this, but still it works well for me

I currently use Avanan as an email and spam filter solution. This tool is being used by my organization to monitor and secure many other client environments. The business problems that Avanan addresses are phishing and spam filtering. This helps to block suspicious emails before they reach clients, ultimately adding an extra layer of protection against potential phishing attacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
We appreciate the product updates from Avanan, but it's sometimes difficult to keep up with all of their revisions because we're busy enough running our businesses and don't often have time for constant research. When we see a change has been made to the program we rely on, it could take us days or even weeks to get back up to speed on that particular topic. We understand this is something the development team wants to avoid so we're happy to go over any plans they may have ahead of time especially if they want feedback before they move forward with their ideas!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan is being used to prevent a lot of annoying and potential dangerous situations. One prime example of this was when Avanan’s EOP engine connected to Office 365 Active Directory without any issues whatsoever and within mere moments, blocked messages in over eighty different languages - all it took was one single click from our side.

Hugh rate of false positive. i guess that it can be reduced by better tuning of the system. I wish to see integrated educational tools for employees to recognize phishing emails

Simple tool that helps monitor, detect and prevent malicious emails and attachments and automate quarantining them with policies and rules

The UI is quite laggy and isn't very accurate with quarantining. At times, the UI doesn't display emails or information properly
