Avanan is quick and easy to setup with immediately visible security benefits. Highly recommended.
What do you like best about the product?
The customer experience, through POC and setup was exceptional. The product took than 5 minutes to install in our 365 tenant and the results were immediate. The dashboard tells you everything you need to know, with the ability to drill down to all the detail you could want. It's very easy to configure and brand any user notifications (if you choose). It is a powerful yet very easy to understand product. This product just works. Avanan also looks historically (12 months) at user’s mailboxes, identifying patterns of communication both internal and external. This enables potential “account takeover” threats to be flagged. It also provides the ability to search for any email in all mailboxes and remove it. This is a very powerful tool. It can be used to remove emails that get through (hopefully very few) and are subsequently identified, or indeed even an internal email that needs “recalling”. In addition it highlights what “shadow” IT is being used, such as Dropbox or WeTransfer. This can be used to educate users in approved corporate systems such as OneDrive, instead of Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. We have been using for little over a month live plus 3 weeks in trial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Office 365’s popularity makes it a prime target for targeted attack and this is in line with what we see at WWT. Too many phishing emails get past basic EOP and arrive in users mailboxes. Although we have mandatory cyber security awareness training, we are then relying on the users vigilance. We have seen an immediate reduction in such threats reaching the users since installing Avanan (so far 100% protection).
Avanan - Exceptional Product, Ease of Use, Incredible Security!
What do you like best about the product?
Avanan was incredibly ease to schedule a technical demo with, and their proof of concept deployment showed us how incredible the product is! The dashboard quickly displays threat, and call to action reponses in our environment. We are able to automate responses based on our specific policies and use cases. The last-line sandbox protection for malware is great and keeps our end users safe! It comes equipped with anti-impersonation detection, and has a very thorough phishing detection.
What do you dislike about the product?
We do not dislike anything about the product. They offer an exceptional service, and exceptional support! With Avanan you will not be disappointed!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the pandemic we have seen a rapid increase of spam, phishing related attacks, and malicious content. With Avanan we put these attacks, and attempts at a hard stop! It also gives us the ability to see login attempts from a global perspective to mitigate and prevent brute force attempts into our environment. Spam is automatically forced into the junk inbox, or we can even mark each message with a specific header to give our users appropriate information for protection! Phishing attempts will no longer be an issue with URL protection, and monitoring per click actions! The benefits for Avanan are nearly endless for a cloud service security solution!

An easy to deploy platform with enterprise level security
What do you like best about the product?
Fast deployment with easy to use platform with great visibility over incoming emails organization-wide. the integration to office365 is seamless and compliments it particularly well. Avanan provides enterprise-level protection with a great onboarding team! it took us about a day to set everything up. Value for money is also a factor! the pricing point beats the competition with no compromises.
We also really like the abilities of the mail explorer which allows our team to view high-risk emails and evaluate them safely.

What do you dislike about the product?
Couldn't fault the product at all! It's been working perfectly so far and benefited from the flexibility and the integrations it has.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The solution helps us protect our users from harmful emails across multiple regions. Our IT team is small which could be challenging when it comes to maintaining systems. Avanan provides a somewhat set-and-forget platform that works for you in the background.

Highly effective and easy to configure
What do you like best about the product?
Weekly reports are very informative for both the customer and Service provider
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the product is lacking quarantine reports rather than an immediate notification.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spam solutions are great at the every day emails that get through although we needed something to grab all the impersonation and phishing emails.
Finally a simple solution to email security. No overpriced hardware to filter through.
What do you like best about the product?
This was brought to my attention from one of my security expert groups and I'm so happy that I listened to them. You attach Avanan to your existing O365 or GSuite - and within a few minutes it's already digging in to view 1000's of emails searching for spam and phishing. But it also handles suspicious logins!
What do you dislike about the product?
1 out of 10 times you have to call into support to get them to help onboard a new client - and there's nothing to dislike because they're always available, always friendly, and they fix it really fast so you can get your client email setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
removing spam and phishing emails and generating better alerts than Microsoft or Google about suspicious emails. Also the automated filtering is easy to setup and use - Avanan takes the hassle out of reviewing spam/phishing - once you make a rule it sticks.
A Must Have Security Solution For Any G-Suite Customer!
What do you like best about the product?
Avanan has provided a truly integrated way to do G-Suite email security. It's ability to block harmful email before it hits the inbox is a game changer. Avanan being able to deploy as an app allows it to natively supply better security without spending much time on setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had very few problems. A few Google changes over time might cause temporary complications but ultimately Avanan's response time has been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This rise of more sophisticated email attacks has increased the need to further protect our organization. Avanan is one more way to protect without having a great percentage of dependency on our end users to recognize these sophisticated attacks.

What do you like best about the product?
The support and the tool is what I like best. The capability of quarantining emails on demand.

There isn't anything particular I dislike from Avanan. I appreciate everything that is being offered.

Phishing emails, analyzing emails, and searching for emails. This also helps us quarantine specific emails, Data Loss Prevention, etc.

This is a great tool. Highly recommended.

Monitor phising emails, malware, non trust files attachments. No attacks or attempts of, we are always ahead of the game preventing sites or attacks
Amazing Service and Easy To Use Dashboard
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to get real time notifications, being able to see who's receiving the bulk of the phishing attempts. That helps us understand potentially who's using their work machine for more than just work. It's helped us track down users and inquire about what they are doing on their machines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't had anything bad to say yet, product works exactly how it's intended, but if I had to say something, it would be nice to have the ability to sort through all of the alerts in an easier way. Right now, yes you can filter by type of event, but if the GUI allowed for a better structure to see the events in a different way, it would make the product that much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Additional email filtering; the company receives a lot of phishing and scams through email. Benefits realized is being able to see which email addresses are receiving the most spam/phishing attempts. It also scans Microsoft Teams conversations which is a huge plus because my company is just now getting heavy into it.

What do you like best about the product?
It immediately begins to filter through emails pulling out phishing, spam, etc. When it finds a suspicious email, it will notify both the administrators the recipient and the recipient can request the email be restored if they believe it to be a legit email. We can then take the email, open it in a sandboxed environment before restoring the email back to the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I do not dislike anything about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With our previous product, we had a lot of false negatives. We were consistently having to restore items from quarantine. This product does an excellent job of catching actual phish and spam, and catches very few legit emails.
