What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is to protect my email and collaborations wherein I use Outlook, and it helps me to prevent my email from phishing or any kind of account takeover attacks.

One day I received a mail that looked exactly like an alert from Microsoft, but when I clicked it, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration flagged it as phishing and removed it from my inbox, which I really appreciated.

What is most valuable?

The best features Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers include great cloud collaboration and file sharing tools, especially as I work on a hybrid model, sometimes in the office or at home. Additionally, it protects me on the cloud, has data loss prevention, and gives me real-time protection from all the unethical activities happening.

The data loss prevention feature works for me by detecting when I had kept all my documents on Drive, but somehow my sheet got lost. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration detected it and immediately looked into it and got it back in my inbox.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted my organization by helping us stop a lot of targeted phishing and fake invoice attacks. Earlier, we used to fall for such tricks, but now, with the help of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, we do not get those kinds of emails. Our employees and the company's system are pretty much safe, and it has overall improved our email hygiene with very little spam and no malicious attachments reaching us, which get filtered out very quickly.

Since using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, we have seen a reduction in phishing incidents, as it helped me when I sent a spreadsheet that had my client's phone numbers and card details, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration instantly flagged it and alerted me. Additionally, I had a very convincing email that looked like it came from my HR asking me to update my bank details, which Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration detected within seconds and blocked from all our servers as soon as I responded to it.

What needs improvement?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration could be improved because I feel the advanced settings are a bit difficult to understand and get your hands on; it could have been easier to navigate in the dashboard. I also feel that working on cloud could be faster and simplified as it is on the on-premises mode.

I give it an eight because overall I am pretty much satisfied with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, as it works positively with my company, and I am very habitual of using it, which gives me a stress-free mindset to work properly.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment since using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration because it helped reduce the time of the IT team management and our company's time to stop and detect all the malware and ransomware. One phishing-related financial fraud is pretty much able to shake the system, and now I feel it is a return on investment because our money is not getting out of the company because of any phishing activities.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration indicates that the pricing feels a bit on the higher side, but the deployment was quite comfortable. It took us some time to deploy it and understand the learning curves, but we manage it now.

What other advice do I have?

I would advise others looking into using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to evaluate and compare it to other companies providing similar solutions in terms of pricing. It is also important to make your IT team ready and understand each feature thoroughly, including the advanced features, so they can use it fully. I gave this product a rating of eight out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects against phishing and malicious attachments across email and cloud tools. I use the Gmail collaboration and ensure suspicious links or files are blocked before they reach users. It helps enforce consistent security policies, reduce the risk of account compromise, and provide quick visibility into attempted attacks.

One example of how I used Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to block a threat was when a phishing email disguised as a Gmail login request was sent to several employees. The solution automatically flagged the suspicious email, quarantined the message, and prevented users from clicking the malicious links.

Another way Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has helped in similar situations is by consistently stopping targeted spear phishing attacks. In one case, attackers tried to impersonate a trusted vendor with a fake invoice, but the system flagged the unusual sender behavior and quarantined the emails before anyone could open them.

It has impacted my organization positively by reducing the number of phishing attempts that reach our users and giving us greater confidence in every communication. It has improved efficiency because suspicious emails are automatically quarantined, saving the team time that used to be spent on manual investigation. I estimate the team saves at least three to five hours per week, thanks to the automatic quarantine and clear visibility features.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform offers visibility and control over the flow of information within the organization. It not only blocks threats but also provides a clear view of how files and messages move between users and applications. This helps us detect anomalous behavior and meet audit requirements effortlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the advanced configuration options can be complex at first, especially when adjusting policies for different user groups. Overall, the solution is robust, but it requires time and dedication to fully optimize it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's addressing the problem of phishing, account theft, and malicious file sharing on our email and collaboration platforms. Previously, we frequently experienced incidents of suspicious emails slipping through, but now threats are blocked in real time and clearly flagged to users.

What is our primary use case?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protects against phishing and malicious attachments. We use it most often to scan incoming emails and block suspicious links before they reach users.

A clear example of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration protecting us was during a phishing campaign that mimicked our internal HR message, where several employees received an email with a fake link to their payroll details. It immediately flagged the message, quarantined them, and prevented users from clicking the malicious link. In another case, it blocked a suspicious attachment that contained malware before it reached the inbox. This protection saved us from potential credential theft and downtime while keeping daily communication secure.

Another useful scenario for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is when an external partner sends a large volume of attachments. The solution scans and filters their files automatically, which prevents malware and unsafe content from slipping through.

What is most valuable?

The best feature in my experience with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is its strong phishing protection and ability to block malicious attachments before they reach users. This has lowered the number of security alerts our team needs to handle and saves time on manual investigations. Employees feel more confident working with email and collaboration tools, knowing they are protected.

On average, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration blocks around 200 to 300 phishing attempts per month that previously would have reached user inboxes. Incident response time has also been reduced by more than 20% before suspicious emails are quarantined automatically, which requires fewer manual checks. What is our primary use case?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is used to secure all incoming emails and emails within the organization.

All PDF files and attachments are scanned while sending an email from one user to another within and outside of the organization.

It is also used to block users from receiving spam emails.

What is most valuable?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration works seamlessly with cloud email providers such as Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace, and it also provides security to collaboration tools such as Teams, OneDrive, Google Drive, and Slack.

It is very easy to set up, requiring only about seven clicks and two to three days to receive all information from the mailboxes and provide details about partners, shadow IT, and other relevant information.

Regarding threat detection, it provides additional security to the already inbuilt security from Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.

It blocks security threats and malware that have been passed on by Microsoft Office 365 EOP and works inline with all cloud email providers.

The amount of resources required to conduct a deep dive into email security has been reduced because of its automation feature, which allows users to manually restore quarantine files at their own risk.

Previously, when using other email security providers, logging in daily was necessary to remove all quarantine emails.

Now, users are notified of quarantine emails and can be provided access to release them from quarantine.

What needs improvement?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration can be improved because it currently only supports email in the cloud.

If you have an email server such as Exchange or Zimbra, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration will not support it.

Support for on-premises email servers would be beneficial.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been used for about a year.

There have been no issues with its scalability feature; everything is working fine.

With Barracuda, manually changing the logs was necessary, which was tedious.

Compared to Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it is much simpler, the dashboard is also simpler, and integration with all cloud email service providers is very simple.

Barracuda was being evaluated.

What other advice do I have?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration came in competitively with its competition, making it a good deal.

Fewer employees are needed since there is no requirement to continually check email and quarantine email, and time is also significantly saved.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is one of the best products to purchase if you do not want to compromise on security and want to save time.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is protecting against phishing account takeover attempts in platforms like Microsoft 365. Since email is the most common entry point for attacks, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration helps us by scanning inbound and outbound messages, blocking malicious links or attachments, and preventing credential theft.

We had a situation where a spoofed email appeared to come from our finance department, asking for urgent payment approval. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration immediately flagged it as suspicious, quarantined it, and alerted our team before anyone could click on the link or respond, preventing what could have been a costly business email compromise.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration also made a significant difference with internal account takeover attempts. In one case, an employee's credentials were phished through a fake login page, and Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration detected unusual login behavior from an unfamiliar location, automatically blocked the session, and forced a password reset.

I think fine-tuning alerts requires some experience and trial and error, especially to find the balance between detecting real threats and avoiding false positives. It would be helpful if the platform offered more guided recommendations.

The best feature of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is the zero-day threat prevention. Zero-day threat prevention made a significant impact on my organization. A few months ago, our employees received an email, and threat prevention detected it immediately. The URL was pointing to a spoofed login page designed to steal credentials. The reporting is excellent, and the integration of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is excellent because my company uses Microsoft 365. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.
