The best thing about Harmony Email and collaboration is ease of deployment and integrate it with the Microsoft O 365 and other Saas applications. It provides the integration with teams and sharepoint as well

The most disliked thing about Checkpoint harmony email and collaboration is the security engines configuration limitations. The logs are also not accurately visible.

Harmony Email and collaboration helping my organization to be safe across the different platforms by protecting user from teams, sharepoint and email threats which are globally increasing day by day.

I like how it offers robust protection without interfering with daily work. It helps block phishing and malicious content while keeping email and collaboration tools running smoothly. The alerts are clear, and integration with platforms like Microsoft 365 makes centralized management easy.

Sometimes, filtering can be too aggressive and block legitimate emails. It requires periodic adjustments to avoid missing important messages.

It helped us a lot with the problems of threats and unsafe content being transmitted via email on collaboration platforms. It helps prevent phishing, malware, and unauthorized account access by scanning and blocking suspicious messages before they reach users. For me, this translates to fewer security incidents to manage and greater confidence when using tools like Outlook and Teams.

What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is protecting cloud-based email and collaboration platforms, primarily Microsoft 365, from malware, phishing, and account takeover attempts.
I can provide a specific example of how I've used Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to protect Microsoft 365 from phishing threats. The sales teams received a phishing email impersonating our boss in the sales department, asking them to approve different transfers. The message looked convincing, using internal branding and a spoofed domain that closely resembled our own, but Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration tagged the message immediately using AI-based intent analysis and domain spoofing detection, quarantining the email before it reached the user's inbox and sending an alarm to the support team.
In another situation, we had a case where a user shared a OneDrive link externally that unknowingly contained a file infected with a macro-based Trojan. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration scanned the shared link and blocked the download in real time.

One of the most valuable aspects of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is its broad coverage across both email and collaboration platforms, which sets it apart from traditional email-only security solutions. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted my organization by resulting in fewer phishing incidents. Since deploying Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, we have seen a 40% drop in phishing-related alerts and user reports. Check Point could be improved by enhancing its reporting flexibility, streamlining policy customization, and expanding integration options with third-party platforms. These changes will make it even more adaptable for diverse enterprise needs.
Expanding third-party integration would be beneficial. When I integrate with Microsoft 365, support for other platforms like Slack or Dropbox is limited. Broader coverage would help organizations with mixed collaboration stacks.

My advice for others looking into using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is that one of its biggest strengths is its agentless API-based integration. You do not need to re-route mail traffic or install hardware. You just connect it to your cloud tenant and configure policies, making it fast, lightweight, and not disruptive for users. I would rate this product an 8 overall.

I greatly appreciate the excellent integration with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Setup was straightforward, and the validation of email traffic and user behavior has helped us respond more quickly to incidents.

I don't particularly like the alert system; it can be overly sensitive. Sometimes it flags harmless links or internal messages as false positives, wasting time checking them.

Its AI-driven detection model proves effective at spotting phishing emails, BECs, spam, and various other threats, which significantly helps reduce the risk of email attacks in an efficient way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Avana Cloud Email Security is an API-based solution that delivers email protection by connecting directly with cloud email gateways like Microsoft and Google. However, it's worth mentioning that when Avana is used with Google, some features present in the Microsoft integration are not available. But Avana is one of the best product in it's segment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avana Cloud Email Security has been effective in reducing the delivery of spam emails to user mailboxes by quarantining true positive messages. It assists in blocking bulk emails and phishing attempts, which helps to decrease both spam and potential attacks targeting users.

What do you like best about the product?
I'm delighted with Harmony Email and Collaboration, which has been a great support since its implementation. It has made a huge difference in how we handle email security without adding extra steps or slowing anything down. It quietly filters out threats and builds trust in the tool, especially with so many people working remotely and sharing files across different platforms. It simply works and allows us to focus on getting things done instead of worrying about phishing or data breaches.
What do you dislike about the product?
One small thing I don't like about Harmony Email and Collaboration is that sometimes the filtering is too strict and blocks important emails, forcing me to spend time checking the quarantine or changing the settings, but overall, these are minor inconveniences compared to the level of protection it offers.

The Avanan dashboard is very user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple for email administrators to create or modify policies as needed. It includes all the essential modules, such as phishing detection, business email compromise detection, spam detection, real-time external URL detection, sandboxing, and more to mitigate modern day threads. As an administrator, you will find that you need to visit the dashboard less frequently compared to other solutions on the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Check Point Avanan Cloud Email Security offers API-only integration, supporting just online email platforms like Microsoft and Google Workspace. While the integration with Microsoft through API works seamlessly and provides the full set of features, the experience with Google Workspace API integration is somewhat more challenging and lacks certain features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Check Point Avana Cloud Email Security is effective in mitigating modern threats that target the email channel, which remains a major attack surface for attackers. Taking into account its full set of features and functionality, it also helps reduce spam emails. Additionally, the email digest feature allows users to release quarantined emails without needing to raise a concern.

Check Point’s real-time threat intelligence engine (ThreatCloud) does an excellent job at blocking phishing, business email compromise (BEC), and zero-day email attacks. It analyzes links, attachments, and sender reputations dynamically, not just based on static signatures.The dashboard provides granular insights into email traffic, spam statistics, blocked messages, and phishing attempts, which helps security teams fine-tune policies and demonstrate compliance. Easy to implement and support is so great.
