Fantastic spam / phishing capabilities

What do you like best about the product?
Our overall experience with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been very positive, as it has significantly strengthened our email security and reduced phishing emails that previously bypassed Microsoft 365 Defender. What I like most about the product is its strong detection and filtering capabilities, which provide peace of mind and noticeable improvements in protection. What I dislike most is that the management interface could be more intuitive, as some settings require extra effort to navigate, but this is a minor issue compared to the security benefits.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the management interface can feel a bit unintuitive at times, which occasionally makes it harder to find the right settings quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had several phishing emails not being caught in the Microsoft defender spam filter so we needed to implement a dedicated filter for incoming emails.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy of integration with O365 and Google services
What do you dislike about the product?
It is limited only to cloud email solutions, there is no option for on-prem email deployments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very high catch rate of spam and malware, minimum false positives. It significantly reduces administrative overhead.

Easy and Reliable Email Protection

What do you like best about the product?
I like best about Avanan Cloud Email Security is that it keeps my inbox safe without making things complicated. It catches phishing emails and harmful links before they reach me, and I don’t have to do anything—it just works quietly in the background. It also integrates well with platforms like Outlook and Gmail, so there’s no need to switch tools or change how I work. The alerts are clear and helpful, and it doesn’t slow down my email at all. Overall, it gives me confidence that my communication is secure without adding any extra steps to my day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the alerts can be a bit frequent, but overall it keeps email protection smooth and effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan Cloud Email Security helps protect me from phishing, malware, and spam emails before they even reach my inbox. It keeps harmful links and attachments out, which means I can focus on my work without worrying about falling for a fake email. It also saves time by reducing the number of false alarms and makes email communication much safer overall.

Robust email protection strengthens security posture while saving time

What is our primary use case?

The main use case is to provide email security and implement email security for Office 365, integrating with Microsoft Office 365 for incoming and outgoing emails, as well as for lateral movement email and east-west email traffic, which includes internal emails, allowing all these emails to be monitored and inspected by Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

Integration with Microsoft Office 365 is very straightforward, requiring just a few clicks and global admin credentials of the Microsoft Office account, enabling us to integrate Office 365 in just a few clicks, making it a straightforward process.

What is most valuable?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers AI-driven inspection of emails, which can scan for malicious traffic, malicious email attachments, phishing links, or phishing mails, and importantly, it provides protection against password-protected files, allowing inspection of email attachments that are password-protected due to its AI-driven features, along with sandboxing capabilities to detect zero-day attacks.

On the dashboard, I see hundreds of emails that got quarantined due to malicious content, including malicious attachments, phishing mails, or identity impersonation, and these types of malicious mails got quarantined and blocked at the edge.

By implementing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it has helped the organization protect against malicious emails entering the network, allowing users to browse only clean emails, which has improved the security posture and saved unnecessary time by preventing disruptions in the network, indirectly aiding the organization's growth.

What needs improvement?

I would suggest that support for other third-party email service providers would be great because coverage is currently limited to only Office 365 and Google Suite, and expanding support to other email platforms would enhance integration possibilities for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

For example, some clients are using old legacy email service providers such as IBM Notes, which cannot be integrated with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as it currently only supports Office 365 and Google Suite, thus impacting workflow when needing integration with those other email solutions.

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one year and have implemented Check Point Harmony Email security.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stable in my experience.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is good, as it can integrate SaaS applications and Office 365 very smoothly. I estimate that around 2,000 users in the organization are protected by Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, ensuring they remain safe from phishing mails or any malicious attachments, leading to no further disruptions in the network, which is beneficial for the organization.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is quite good.

I rate customer support nine out of ten because I believe there should be some improvements regarding response time from the OEM.

I did not previously use a different solution before Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is straightforward and can be completed within less than 15 days, allowing us to perform its POC and get it inline the following week.

What about the implementation team?

We have a business relationship with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as we are partners.

What was our ROI?

Money is saved because there are no business disruptions, ensuring everything runs smoothly as unwanted malicious attachments and emails are blocked at the perimeter, preventing them from being delivered to users, which allows users to safely browse their emails without problems, thus saving unnecessary time and helping the organization focus on their desired tasks.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The experience with pricing and cost is acceptable; Check Point is a little bit expensive compared to other vendors, but the cost justifies itself.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend others looking into Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to go with this good solution, keeping the settings on best practices which are already set for all policies by default, and for integration, just need global admin credentials to integrate into Office 365, which is very smooth.

What do you like best about the product?
Avanan Cloud Email Security is great because it’s easy to use and works well with common email platforms. It helps block phishing, spam, and other threats before they reach the inbox. I like that it runs in the background without getting in the way and keeps everything safe without needing a lot of effort. The solution was very easy to implement and integrates smoothly with existing email platforms. The customer support team is also responsive and helpful, which makes the overall experience much better.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works well, though getting used to it can take a little time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan Cloud Email Security helps protect against phishing, malware, and other email-based threats before they reach our inboxes. It scans emails in real-time and blocks suspicious content, which reduces the risk of cyberattacks. This has made our email environment much safer and given us more confidence in day-to-day communication. It also saves time for the IT team by automating threat detection and reducing the number of false positives.

Check Point's Impact: Exceptional Email Filtering and Support

What do you like best about the product?
Check Point's email filtering and service is exceptional. Their support is very fast when opening tickets, but most of all their product has prevented us from having business email compromises. Implementation is very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we implemented the product, there have been a couple of major email delivery issues that lasted several hours. Check Point did keep us updated throughout their troubleshooting to fix the issues. They also provide documentation of what to do when email delivery issues occur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the simplicity of use. I've used other products that are incredibly complex. Check Point is not, but still offers the same functionality needed for complex requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
Releasing quarantine is very systematic and user friendly. It is really wonderful solution and made business more secured. As there is no MX records change it is easy to implement.

Till now no issues founds in technology and really it appreciated.

Actually it helps to restrict Phishing and impersonation, ransomwere and malware attacks.

Improved email security and user awareness reduce data breaches significantly

What is our primary use case?

The main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is addressing numerous issues my customer faced with phishing emails and malware that was pushed into their system. They were using Microsoft Defender as a standard security for their email services, so they wanted to implement a more focused solution for Email Security.

What is most valuable?

When Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration was chosen, the specific features that stood out to my customer were the integration of solutions with Office 365 as email service wherein Check Point excelled. They have a very tight integration with Microsoft Office 365.

The customer ended up purchasing just the email component initially. The comprehensive and unified protection across users, devices and applications under various parameters is entirely a USP for Check Point Solution. Apart from the standard security such as email security, endpoint security, browser security, mobility security and the enhanced visibility of the solution in a single pane of glass through a unified portal, these are the basic features. What stood out was where the solution excels in providing customer reports of users sending mails to non-domain email addresses, which was showcased during POC.

Reporting on users sending emails to non-domain email addresses helped the customer because they were unable to stop emails going to non-domain due to their business requirements. They had many vendors using non-domain specific Email IDs such as gmail.com or hotmail.com, which they couldn't block. Instead of blocking, they wanted to monitor people sending emails to non-domain email aliases. There had been cases of data breaches where customer users were sending IP data to users outside the organization. The customer wanted intervention, and if they couldn't block this practice, they wanted something that could be monitored by the IT team.

They formed a group of three people wherein all emails sent to non-domain specific email addresses were reported weekly, later changing to daily reports. This allowed them to clearly pinpoint how many users were sending out emails and identify clear offenders of sending print emails, even after being advised not to.

The measurable reduction in risky email behavior improved once users realized there was a system in place. During POC, they discovered some malware that was pushed to their system to check the solution's efficacy. These files passed through Defender but were caught by Check Point Solution, demonstrating the efficiency of Check Point Harmony Email Security.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted my customer's organization overall because once the system was implemented, there was a proper reduction in the number of data breaches and phishing emails.

What needs improvement?

I don't see any incoming pain points regarding Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration. It has been a leader in Magic Quadrant already for 24 and comes from Check Point, a well-known vendor loved among tech people. For tech people who want to dive deep into self-servicing capabilities, Check Point could improve in this area. In terms of user experience, it has limited self-servicing capabilities for end users. A bit more customization would be great as.

For how long have I used the solution?

My customer has been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one year now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stable in my customer's environment with no downtime or reliability issues. When the demo POC was set up, most of the solution took place. Once the order was approved and the licenses were delivered, we only needed to upload those licenses into the customer's admin account, as all the policies and other configurations were already in the system.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is fully scalable. This is the first year, so there haven't been many additional users. We are looking forward to the next year when the renewal comes up. The product grows with the company and the organization structure.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been excellent. We were able to fine-tune most of the queries the customer had without requiring Check Point vendor support. There have been no bugs or formal issues needing vendor support. Check Point has everything in place according to standard policy, including email, phone support, text support, and community support from fellow users. The product has been running smoothly and reliably, so the customer hasn't required any support.

Before Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, my customer was only using Microsoft Defender.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration was straightforward since the customer was well aware of the use cases. We simply needed to fulfill those use cases, which was done easily with documents available in communities and community pages, along with clearly defined documentation on how to address common problems in the system.

What was our ROI?

There has been a 70% decrease in phishing emails and data breaches since implementing Check Point Harmony Email Security.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing, setup costs, and licensing were competitive and clear for my customer. Everything was well defined with proper SKUs, starting with all the modules they were looking for, including Check Point Email and a web solution.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

My customer evaluated Barracuda and Cisco IronPort before choosing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

What other advice do I have?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration integrates seamlessly with other cloud services my customer uses, especially with Microsoft O365.

The metering and billing experience was transparent and easy to manage with an annual contract structure.

The procurement process was straightforward. After the joint meeting with IT and procurement teams, a consensus was reached among the Check Point call manager, myself, and the customer stakeholder. Price negotiation was completed in a single day, and the PO was released within a week.

My advice to others considering Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is to have a clear understanding of their requirements. The solution offers numerous services, so potential users should have their use cases prepared. They should conduct a pilot project, demo, or POC aligned with those use cases to determine which services they require. While the tools are managed through a single console, they are priced separately, and advanced features could be costly.

I rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration 10 out of 10 due to its ease of installation, solution capabilities, integration with other solutions, and Check Point's leading support in Cyber Security. The tool provides an extra layer of security to endpoints and offers proactive protection from cyber threats.

easily protect phishing attacks by detecting and blocks malicious email attacks and also scans the content of attachments
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing cost is a bit expensive and the process is a bit complex to add some features.
and also the learning curve for the beginner is not straight forward

What do you like best about the product?
The 3-step easy API integration which can onboard the security to O365 in minutes and to implement. Threat extaction, sandboxing some advanced features helps to get/view the data to decide whether its safe or not without affecting/compromising the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to mention as of now, since it is very easy to use and several classification in detection provided to sort out or pin point the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phishing & Spam mail attack are reduced near to zero with the accuracy of AI engines. Threat Extraction gives a clean copy of the data before scanning to reduce work impact. sandboxing to verify the links for malicious content.
