Seamless Email filtering with Harmony Email & Collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
I like that all links in emails are automatically analysed by Checkpoint and provide powerful filtering and phishing prevention.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing cost is a bit expensive. The UI in the portal is not great and is confusing to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's preventing mostly phishing emails but the file analysing feature is also very thorough. At our company the users don't notice that it's even there, which is a big plus.

Phishing emails significantly drop with effective filtering features

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stopping phishing attacks and spam coming into our users in our organization.

I don't have anything else to add about my main use case or any other ways I use Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

What is most valuable?

The best features Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers are definitely the phishing filtering.

The phishing filtering feature is valuable for me because it stops most of the phishing emails before they hit the users' inboxes, ensuring that users don't see the infected or phishing emails. It's really good at its job, so it stops at least 99% of the emails that come into our organization.

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has positively impacted my organization as it has definitely cut down on the amount of phishing emails that are being delivered to users' inboxes.

We have seen a drastic number of reductions of successful phishing attacks, with metrics showing it stops about 99% of the attempted emails before they hit the user's inbox.

What needs improvement?

I don't think Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration needs improvement; it just does what it's supposed to do.

I don't want to add more about the needed improvements.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been very stable for me; I haven't noticed any downtime at all, and even if there's downtime, it fails open, so it won't impact emails.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration's scalability is good, as you pay per user, so it scales automatically as the organization grows.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate the customer support a four, maximum, because I have had to reach out to them, and it wasn't great. I ended up with a technician that didn't actually know how to resolve the issue and was just doing basic level one troubleshooting, so it was very time-consuming to work with them.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used Microsoft Defender before Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, but we switched because it was very time-consuming to tune properly, and also, most of the emails were delivered to users' inboxes and then removed afterwards.

How was the initial setup?

My advice for others looking into using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is that it's very easy to set up. I think the setup was done in 30 minutes, so if you decide to go for it, there's not much consideration to be done, actually.

What was our ROI?

I have definitely seen a return on investment, as there are fewer incidents after deploying this software. We have gone from three to four successful phishing attacks every year to a maximum of one.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is that it's licensed per user, and the price is fair. The pricing is very good and easy.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate other options before choosing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

What other advice do I have?

I can give a specific example of how Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has helped me stop phishing or spam. We bought this product because Microsoft Defender let through phishing attempts, and one of our users clicked that one. So we looked for a vendor to assist us with additional filtering on our incoming emails. Since we implemented Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it's been great. It stops most, if not all, of the phishing attacks against us.

I would rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration a 10 out of 10.

Fantastic spam / phishing capabilities

What do you like best about the product?
Our overall experience with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration has been very positive, as it has significantly strengthened our email security and reduced phishing emails that previously bypassed Microsoft 365 Defender. What I like most about the product is its strong detection and filtering capabilities, which provide peace of mind and noticeable improvements in protection. What I dislike most is that the management interface could be more intuitive, as some settings require extra effort to navigate, but this is a minor issue compared to the security benefits.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the management interface can feel a bit unintuitive at times, which occasionally makes it harder to find the right settings quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had several phishing emails not being caught in the Microsoft defender spam filter so we needed to implement a dedicated filter for incoming emails.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy of integration with O365 and Google services
What do you dislike about the product?
It is limited only to cloud email solutions, there is no option for on-prem email deployments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very high catch rate of spam and malware, minimum false positives. It significantly reduces administrative overhead.

What do you like best about the product?
I like best about Avanan Cloud Email Security is that it keeps my inbox safe without making things complicated. It catches phishing emails and harmful links before they reach me, and I don’t have to do anything—it just works quietly in the background. It also integrates well with platforms like Outlook and Gmail, so there’s no need to switch tools or change how I work. The alerts are clear and helpful, and it doesn’t slow down my email at all. Overall, it gives me confidence that my communication is secure without adding any extra steps to my day.

Sometimes the alerts can be a bit frequent, but overall it keeps email protection smooth and effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan Cloud Email Security helps protect me from phishing, malware, and spam emails before they even reach my inbox. Robust email protection strengthens security posture while saving time

What is our primary use case?

The main use case is to provide email security and implement email security for Office 365, integrating with Microsoft Office 365 for incoming and outgoing emails, as well as for lateral movement email and east-west email traffic, which includes internal emails, allowing all these emails to be monitored and inspected by Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

Integration with Microsoft Office 365 is very straightforward, requiring just a few clicks and global admin credentials of the Microsoft Office account, enabling us to integrate Office 365 in just a few clicks, making it a straightforward process.

What is most valuable?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration offers AI-driven inspection of emails, which can scan for malicious traffic, malicious email attachments, phishing links, or phishing mails, and importantly, it provides protection against password-protected files, allowing inspection of email attachments that are password-protected due to its AI-driven features, along with sandboxing capabilities to detect zero-day attacks.

On the dashboard, I see hundreds of emails that got quarantined due to malicious content, including malicious attachments, phishing mails, or identity impersonation, and these types of malicious mails got quarantined and blocked at the edge.

By implementing Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, it has helped the organization protect against malicious emails entering the network, allowing users to browse only clean emails, which has improved the security posture and saved unnecessary time by preventing disruptions in the network, indirectly aiding the organization's growth.

What needs improvement?

I would suggest that support for other third-party email service providers would be great because coverage is currently limited to only Office 365 and Google Suite, and expanding support to other email platforms would enhance integration possibilities for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

For example, some clients are using old legacy email service providers such as IBM Notes, which cannot be integrated with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as it currently only supports Office 365 and Google Suite, thus impacting workflow when needing integration with those other email solutions.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for one year and have implemented Check Point Harmony Email security.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is stable in my experience.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is good, as it can integrate SaaS applications and Office 365 very smoothly. I estimate that around 2,000 users in the organization are protected by Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, ensuring they remain safe from phishing mails or any malicious attachments, leading to no further disruptions in the network, which is beneficial for the organization.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is quite good.

I rate customer support nine out of ten because I believe there should be some improvements regarding response time from the OEM.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution before Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is straightforward and can be completed within less than 15 days, allowing us to perform its POC and get it inline the following week.

What about the implementation team?

We have a business relationship with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration as we are partners.

What was our ROI?

Money is saved because there are no business disruptions, ensuring everything runs smoothly as unwanted malicious attachments and emails are blocked at the perimeter, preventing them from being delivered to users, which allows users to safely browse their emails without problems, thus saving unnecessary time and helping the organization focus on their desired tasks.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The experience with pricing and cost is acceptable; Check Point is a little bit expensive compared to other vendors, but the cost justifies itself.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend others looking into Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration to go with this good solution, keeping the settings on best practices which are already set for all policies by default, and for integration, just need global admin credentials to integrate into Office 365, which is very smooth.

I rate Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration 10 out of 10.

What do you like best about the product?
Avanan Cloud Email Security is great because it’s easy to use and works well with common email platforms. It helps block phishing, spam, and other threats before they reach the inbox. I like that it runs in the background without getting in the way and keeps everything safe without needing a lot of effort. The solution was very easy to implement and integrates smoothly with existing email platforms. The customer support team is also responsive and helpful, which makes the overall experience much better.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works well, though getting used to it can take a little time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan Cloud Email Security helps protect against phishing, malware, and other email-based threats before they reach our inboxes. It scans emails in real-time and blocks suspicious content, which reduces the risk of cyberattacks. This has made our email environment much safer and given us more confidence in day-to-day communication. It also saves time for the IT team by automating threat detection and reducing the number of false positives.

Check Point's Impact: Exceptional Email Filtering and Support

What do you like best about the product?
Check Point's email filtering and service is exceptional. Their support is very fast when opening tickets, but most of all their product has prevented us from having business email compromises. Implementation is very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we implemented the product, there have been a couple of major email delivery issues that lasted several hours. Check Point did keep us updated throughout their troubleshooting to fix the issues. They also provide documentation of what to do when email delivery issues occur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the simplicity of use. I've used other products that are incredibly complex. Check Point is not, but still offers the same functionality needed for complex requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
Releasing quarantine is very systematic and user friendly. It is really wonderful solution and made business more secured. As there is no MX records change it is easy to implement.

Till now no issues founds in technology and really it appreciated.

Actually it helps to restrict Phishing and impersonation, ransomwere and malware attacks.
