Simple the best for E-mail protection!!!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the protection this product gives us against hackers, malware, or ransomware. I also like how clearly it shows any events or alerts that the log server shows us

Noting to complain at this point doe that it gives us the security that we need now

What do you like best about the product?
The reporting, dashboards, and alerts are what we were looking for in a security product to protect our users from phishing and malware. Its auditing tool is what really helps us step up and be able to start in certification paths for our company such as ISO and NIST.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI does not work on Firefox browser, it seems to be made for Chromium and some of the features do not work on FF. The UI needs polishing and needs to be more organic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we aim to fix is having an email protection suite that will help us comply with certifications such as ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53 rev. 5. We have also been able to minimize the number of phishing attacks we have had in the last 6 months.
Easy to implement security solution for cloud emails
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration. Few clicks basically and the product is ready.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primary concerns were phishing emails, especially custom targeted phishing emails to accounting and finance people.

Excellent protection, near-zero false positives, easy rollout and great analysis & remediation.
What do you like best about the product?
We deployed Avanan primarily for Office 365 as Microsoft's filtering, even with their Advanced Thread Protection, was allowing far too many malicious emails through while blocking many legitimate emails. After Avanan deployment we get near zero malicious emails delivered and our help desk is no longer getting tickets to restore quarantined emails. One cool story in our Avanan trial was when a client had their email compromised and our users were being sent phishing emails. Avanan blocked the phishing emails and then after the client regained control of their mailbox Avanan allowed the follow up emails from the client warning us to not open the previous emails. I've had similar instances occur with other email security solutions in place and none has ever successfully blocked it like that.
We also have two Google Workspace environments protected by Avanan. It's great that we now have visibility of our environments in one solution. You can't have both Google Workspace accounts setup in one Avanan tenant but Avanan set us up with an MSP portal so each Google Workspace account is in its own Avanan tenant and alerts and stats roll up to the MSP portal for easy visibility.

What do you dislike about the product?
Avanan is not a traditional email gateway solution and augments Microsoft's filtering. You still need to do some tuning in Microsoft policy settings to avoid items being blocked by Microsoft after Avanan filtering. So there are sometimes cases where you have to check two places to find out what happened with an email.
Avanan also has some UI glitches in their latest UI release. The Mail Explorer will sometimes show results but as you tweak the search or go between pages the Mail Explorer results will sometimes stop showing. Usually refreshing the page will clear this up but it's a bit annoying.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After deploying Avanan we were able to cancel our ATP licensing which helped with cost savings. Our Help Desk used to get multiple tickets a week to check emails in quarantine and now they can focus on real issues. The system is largely set and forget and I only need to check the Avanan portal a couple times a month.
Avanan has been a great additional tool to help with Email Phishing attacks.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, simple and easy to use dashboard, straightforward and powerful Mail Explorer to find messages, and the ease to create block or allow rules.

We had a few false positives with the O365 Mail Click-time protection, that we were using in conjunction with O365 native Safe-links.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Additional phishing protection against phishing emails and campaigns that the native O365 platform was missing, or allowing too many to get through.
Avanan, Email Security at its best
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it uses AI and machine learning eases the process of setting it up, and the fact that it resides in our 365 tenant makes it resolution time very fast. The sales team and onboarding technicians were excellent help. Getting set up correctly and working could not have gone more smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have two 365 tenants, so we had to be set up on a reseller portal and sometimes moving from the reseller portal to one of our tenants prompts for credentials again. That is honestly the only issue we have seen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan is catching malware and phishing attempts that our two other mainstream mail security programs are not filtering out at a fraction of the cost. It can also learn and retroactively pull items from a user's mailbox, which is not an option for either of our other email security suites. We also get a regular report prompting us to get into the system to review any items the AI did not remediate. Because of machine learning, we are spending less and less time in the Avanan portal each week as Avanan learns how we want to address certain occurrences.
Great set of features
What do you like best about the product?
In testing, we found the feature set great. Covers our whole O365 environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a feature, inbound DLP, that was missing, but was on the roadmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving issues with efficacy in SPAM as well as better DLP.

What do you like best about the product?
Avanan has been a very effective and accurate tool for malware blocking and email filtering for our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan integrates very well with Exchange Online. I particularly value its ability to easily do a "search and destroy" of malicious emails from user inboxes. Previously we needed to design Powershell scripts to accurately identify the emails in question and then delete them, which was a much riskier endeavor for the email admin.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and learning mechanisms. Overall Avanan has made email security much more effective.

At this time no items to dislike. Would like a mobile app at some poit.
