Phishing Gone with Avanan
What do you like best about the product?
Setup was effortless and thousands of phishing attempts per week disappeared instantly. Since the install we now have only black listed two individual users.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little complicated to open a bad actor's email in a sand box - but once and done. Searching should not be too specific but I have come to admire the method ...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users no longer have to guess or contact IT to examine an email or block emails.
Quick and easy setup and instant results
What do you like best about the product?
The system instantly starts filtering out emails including phishing emails and spam, you can choose what to do with these depending on your environment such as holding emails in quarantine, delivering to the users mailbox and I believe a future feature is to place them in the Office 365 quarantine so they are all in one place is using the Avanan service with Office 365.
The sandboxing is another great feature allowing you to go into an email and open it within an sandboxed environment interactively within Chrome.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, the product was easy to setup and we saw instant results with the reduction of spam and phishing emails
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Office 365 Anti-Spam protection only goes so far and does not block all emails, with the use of the Avanan product I have not as of yet seen any phishing emails come through and have noticed a further decline in spam emails. With the increase of phishing during the coronavirus pandemic this product has helped combat this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend this product as a solution for email security even alongside Office 365 Anti-Spam to further improve Microsoft's Anti-Spam solution

The extra layer of security Avanan gives has stopped many phishing emails that O365 did not catch.

I do not have any complaints about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many unwanted emails are being blocked and if something manages to slip through it can be removed from multiple users mailboxes within seconds.

I like the way that is operates - completely cloud based and easy to integrate. Solid performance and great security coverage.

There is nothing I dislike about the product!

Replacement for Barracuda; much better product for email protection.
Robust Defence and Easy UI
What do you like best about the product?
The portal is very easy to navigate and menu options are quite simple
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited capacity to export data. Limited filtering options on security events e.g. date filtering. No application programming interface set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits - it takes care of phishing and spam control.
Great software for blocking Spam and phishing!
What do you like best about the product?
Keep you up to date on all security risks coming through email to your organization, works great with google suite. Allows you to setup filters for specific emails and addresses, and to track down usage by country. Excellent suite of features for email protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
It should be easier to filter alerts for administrators.

It removes much of the spam and phishing emails that we would get on a daily basis, providing us with a more secure environment
Avanan Super Easy Spam Cleaner
What do you like best about the product?
This application makes it so easy to manage and remove spam from corporate emails - set it and forget it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface took a little getting used to but after a few tries it gets better

We have reduced the overhead on managing spam emails and reeuced false positives
Easy to Test - Easy to Implement
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that Avanan takes 5 minutes to set up. The 30 day trail allows you to actually implement your own rules and alerts. If you are happy with the product, you just purchase the license. If you are not, it takes 5 minutes to remove. This is very different from other vendors that require you to reroute your mail to a third party for filtering. Tech support was very responsive and capable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Forcing SPAM to the Junk folder is less intuitive than it should be for an email security system
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have see a significant drop in phishing messages that were getting by the standard O365 filters. It's nice that they show you which were caught by each system so you can see exactly how many Avanan is blocking.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's so easy to test that you would do yourself a disservice to not at least give it a look.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how well the product defends against phishing attempts and how easy it is to whitelist false positives. i also love the impersonation protection it has.
What do you dislike about the product?
documentation is limited, that might be due to me not being able to find it though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The impersonation protection is my favorite. we had issues with phishers trying to get those common things like apple gift cards and etc while pretending to be executives. After turning on the protection we have had a near zero issue with Impersonation.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
The amount of our phishing emails our company was getting was cut drastically. We had a hard time with some of our employees clicking on links they shouldn't and Avanan helped with that immensely.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be hard to search for if an email has been blocked by Avanan and no one was notified. A more comprehensive search function would be helpful.
